@ComradeHowell No the fact that there's a full 70 minute parade is the most impressive part. Most of the RU-vid Videos dealing with N. Korean Military Parades are 7 minutes long tops.
What's the second song that is played (around 01:30) right after the national anthem? It's not the Party flag that is raised, so I guess it's some kind of KPA anthem. It's pretty rare to hear it since most of the time they play the "Song of General Kim Jong Il" at the beginning of parades like this.
Chasu is military rank of that officer. It's very high military rank equivalent to 5 star-general (nemely Vice-Marshall in North Korean army). ... At that time there was only one higher ranked officer alive. Marshal Ri Ul-sol (리을설; 14 September 1921 - 7 November 2015) - old guard anti-Japanesse guerrilla and Korean war veteran...
North Korea's mistake is to switch from the standard soviet goosestep to the bouncing goose. The chinese goosestep however, looks more appropriate than both upon east asian men.
no the song from 1:20 is the anthem of Songun ju-eui, Gim Jeong il's official ideology. The anthem of Songun, does sound similar to the Worker's Party of Korea's anthem however.
I don't think it's 65 years of north korea. DPRK was founded on Sept. 9, 1948. I think this is celebrating 65 yrs. of something else, like maybe the Workers' Party of Korea or something...
@Ktaurus26 The USSR/Stalin basically setup the North Korean regime from the beginning in the 1950's, and most of the DPRK's weaponry are Russian and Chinese anyways
@NWBackcountry And what kind of justification would you give to bombing a military parade on their anniversary attended by thousands and thousands of civilians?
@tacticaloperator12 True, the Stalinist legacy still lives in North Korea, this parade is more Soviet then Modern Russian parades, Russian parades lost their mystique after the fall of the USSR.
This isn't that impressive. If you look above the Tudou Icon (土豆网) You see the KCTV logo. It's straight from their television. Unless the poster edited it, this isn't that amazing. You can find numerous videos like this from KCTV if you look hard enough. If you want better videos showing the inside of North Korea you can ask me. Honestly though, look around even just RU-vid. There are many videos out of North Korea of excellent quality. I study this regime intensively.
I like very much they parading style of N/Koreans. they terrify their enemy by pounding up like lions. They send clear message to imperialistic powers that the power is kept balanced.
Jesus is Lord and King of King in South Korea and North Korea! Communists and tyrants will be defeated! God bless and give strength to all who suffer from famine is North Korea!
