A visit to Norfolk included several days in Sheringham and exploration via the North Norfolk Railway. This standard gauge railway includes great views as well as a number of stops. Although a bit shorter than the SVR it offers all the smells and sounds as well as some very well maintained rolling stock and engines.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area. As with other heritage lines they need as many seats as possible filled to help with the massive difficulties with sourcing good quality coal and coping with its high cost.
