correction - 3 free parking areas in North Topsail Beach. But be aware that they are only open certain hours.

How much of the beach along the total island can you drive on? Thanks!

I'd say about 100 yards to the right of the entrance and about 300 yards to the left. The South End offers a pass for driving on the beach as well. I believe it's only during the off season. This year they didn't allow any passes because of a dredging project on the very South End.
