North Yorkshire Moors Railway - Steam & Diesel over the Moors - August 2023 

18th - 24th August 2023 saw a trip to North Yorkshire and the renowned North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
The week's visit coincided with the railway's intensive summer timetable - which featured up to six locomotives in action per-day - transporting tourists across the rugged North York Moors between Pickering and the picturesque seaside town of Whitby.
Motive power was provided by a selection of the NYMR's operational Steam & Diesel fleet, including; BR Std 4MT Class 2-6-4, No.80136; LMS Stanier 5MT Class 4-6-0, No.5428 'Eric Tracey'; BR Std 9F Class 2-10-0, No.92134; and British Rail Class 31, 31128 'Charybdis'.
Filmed over the course of several days we see all the aforementioned locomotives in action - tackling the steep gradients of the Moors from various vantage points and locations along the route.
