I love this song. I play it for my two lil grandson's they like the beat of the drum and get into the dancing. For I am Jicarilla Apache , and I to love to go to powwows. Keep up the traditions for they are dying out. It's good to pass the traditions on to our young for they will keep it going on in the future.
man I wish I could go back in time and walk to the top / edge of a river bank and see the native americans rowing their canoes along the river like my 3rd great grandfather apparently saw when he was a kid. That'd be a cool sight to see!

I'm Cherokee Indians myself and an older man. If this doesn't bring tears to your eyes and chills up your spine then you need to get on your knees and beg for the great spirit.
I'm from New Zealand, and I've never had music do this to me ever. I just had a vision as If i was walking with my people, through some mountains. I'm not Native American but when I listened to this it felt like I was. Or like a was remembering something I used to be??
Absolutely love the whole native culture. These songs that are sung around the drums really give me peace in tough times. I am white and live in Alberta with many Cree friends. Hope someday to see this in person!
The True Singing power of the North this song Proves it. A lot of respect to Northern Cree. Blackfoot and Cree here and song helps bring My Great Grandmother memories out of my mind
Happy Holidays For All U Awesome People , SENDING My LOVE N PRAYERS, WHITE BUFFALO WOMAN, Lil Home Town of LODGE POLE,,MONTANA Always Be Proud of Who U R ,
As a whitie tought in the public fool system, I too thought these songs and chants were waring songs. I think I was very wrong! What I now find is that I get a wonderful vibration resenating through out my body when listening to this wonderful music. I feel the heart and sole and the love of Mother Earth herself. Some times it's good to be wrong about something.
That's exactly what you are supposed to feel , these songs are prayers, the higher the pitch they can get, the higher the prayers go up :) Nothing like hearing it in person though!
There are certain songs sung to honor our veterans that served for Canada and the U.S.A. In that case, the first part of this video was a flag song. A song like that recognizes not only the flags of today but also First Nations (Native American) peoples flags which are eagle staffs, also the war veterans. I am glad your point of view has changed. Each song that is sung around a drum has meaning, and I am glad to see that whites are enjoying our songs. These songs are sung in the F.N (Native American) languages which I find so pure and beautiful. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have learned something new.
Thank you for your humility. Humility is very honorable in our heritage and culture. I only wish more like you would feel the same. One day though, .......... yes one day. Ashoge Shila Aash.
Very powerful song. Always uplifting and producing an inner courage beyond that of normal times. I've noticed that most of the people in the background are also adding their voices. It is a most splendid sound. Good people playing and singing. Thank you, all of you, for giving such a powerful sound.
Yo soy de México y desde niño siempre me a gustado mucho verlos y escucharlos y un.dia tuve la dicha de verles en persona y escucharlos, es algo muy especial.
The intense feeling you get. Hair standing up and butterflies. Each time I hear something real like this my body feels it too. Nothing else in this world has this reaction on me. I absolutely live our culture and our people. Proud Cree and that will never be taken from me.
Very good playing my brothers and sisters, When people can actually feel the drums, the chanting/singing, and dancing without them even knowing what your saying or what its all about then you know our Native ancient ancestors are with you. Peace and blessings to you all from the Lakota people brother and sisters...
Absolutely incredible. Instant transport to a different time, same land. I see the same skies and the same horizons as their ancestors, but thanks to these men we all get to share in their ancestors music. ❤
Fantastic brothers. Fantastic! My soul needed to stumble onto this video. It's been so long since I've seen a drum dance and felt it's voice. Thank you all!
The voice travels and spirits hear the calling, the drum then provides the guidance opening the portal to the west direction showing us the way home to our own star.
Magnifique ... thank you for this Song that reminds me of my first powwow as a spectator during my holidays in Canada ... thank you from Switzerland! Wonderful memories!!
