Reminds me of the geese out back on the river, that used to come up in a semi circle around the dock and squawk and flap around on purpose to tease my retriever. He dove in and the geese are like "OH shit!" LOL. They turned and paddled for their lives. He could swim way faster than Canada Geese and he was closing in on over half a dozen of them in 10 or 15 seconds. They had to take flight to leave him behind. I didn't hunt but that dog was a third generation of professional dogs hired to retrieve day after day for rich auto executives from Detroit.

Our attention spans today don't want to commit to such an hour-long endeavour, and so we never see such sights. But we'll take a chance on a 6-minute clip, hoping that it's something of substance and not clickbait. And this - this - is a fantastic video. A part of life we never really see. Thank you for this.

I have a cottage close to Lake Rosseau and I've seen wolves run across my property a few times. Terrifying yet beautiful to witness. That wolf was desperate going for that moose that size alone. Awesome video, you don't get to see that everyday.

The wolf didn't look like it was distracted by the drone when it let go... it looked like it was distracted by water entering it's lungs. If that wolf really was alone, it wasn't going to kill a moose in the water.

I've lived in Ontario for 49 years and this was just crazy to see! That Wolf was just something else wasn't he! When he stayed under water as long as he did getting stepped on it was like wtf he has to be dead now right we all said ! but then, Nope! crazy ass Wolf! lol..

That is one tough wolf , great preditor skills , great stamina , not giving up so easily , yes the mooses size prevailed but i bet you that moose almost shit its antlers out a few times.

That is a hell of a brave, keened She Wolf that probably lost all of her pack or younger one left the pack to establish a family/pack! Wolves never hunt elk, buffalo etc. giant animals (Average wolv is around 65 Kilos, average Elk is around 500 Kilo and lks are very very deadly animals remember that!) alone, because they know that one single injury will cause their life and getting that injury is % 99 chance during the hunting attempt of large prays alone!!! The wolf must have pretty strong reason to do that almost suicide like hunting mission! If there is no wolves, there is no elk, there is no wildlife, no nature, no life! Simple as that. As a person who loves and respect every single living creature in this planet; I never take a side, when I see that nature is doing its job. If wolf cannot hunt elk, its pack will die, population of the elk will increase way more than it supposed to be and they will destroy whole valley and all other creatures in that valley will be vanished.

The determination of that wolf is unbelievable. She/he keeps looking to the shore, i bet it has young hungry mouths to feed.

I think the drone had a hand in scaring the wolf off. Great footage and most likely would have never got it without a drone. But I really think the drone had something to do with the wolf giving up the chase.
