Good Guys Great to let your Brother drive. Wet is scary some People think it's great to drive it two wheel drive & end up in a bad dissuasion. Those Prado's are a great 4WD diff lock front & rear just the ground clearance gets them stuck. Thanks for sharing safe travels Cheers

when wet, the red clay turns slipperier than any other surface you have driven on, he would have slid backwards uncontrolled into the bank and rolled, i use mud chains when wet, the only way to get traction

I headed from the north this june while there was a bit of rain and it was wet. I almost got up a long steep section with my tyres at 15psi, but i didnt make it and stopped. I could have pulled the handbrake on and put it in park, got out and winched it up. Or lowered the tyre pressures. But i was by myself and what if it started slipping back? Instead i headed down backwards as slowly as possible but yeah it started sliding quicker and quicker. I used the brakes until it started getting sideways then i released and used engine braking until it straightened, then i stomped on the brakes again. About 25 metres or more later i stopped at the bottom. Phew!!! Turned around and bailed out of there!

Important tip for a first time off-roader… don’t ever cross your arms on the steering wheel, just feed the wheel from hand to hand or rapidly spin with one hand… because if you slip into a rut, the wheels can slam and you will break your arms if crossed over…

Track got boring as hell because you had passed through Buru! Aboriginal community! You probably blinked and missed it. So they grade the track every year to keep it sweet. The other half is left to keep it interesting for all the "4 wheelers". Used to do it to Mossman every week or so, to do the shopping. But you don't do it if it's wet. Unless you've got chains. Thus that rolled wreck. Nice Vid. Good to see someone else's perception of the Track.

Looked like some if that wood was green.... hoping it was already fallen!!
