After a tiny amount of checking, this is provable BS. 16 of 25 top knife crime in London, then Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, etc. W Yorks barely gets a look in. Do you just make up stuff for sh*ts and giggles? Fair do's @@modithorson7484
I’m a Northerner and went to Uni for 3 lonely years in London. The day I drove home to Geordie Land, I stopped off at Rotherham for some fuel. The girl behind the counter called me “ducky” with such a warm and human tone, I nearly dropped to my knees in thanks to be back up North.
😂😂😂 do you realise how silly you lot sound now with your obsessing about one city in the south as if it 'is' the south. The south covers much more of an area than london, cornwall devon dorset etc, you lot love it😂😂😂@@jonhack2585
London has only 21 tory MPs out of 73 areas that make up the metropolis. We voted to stay in Europe, our city mayor is Labour, the London assembly has only 9 out of 25 seats held by tories. We have this shit government because of moronic northerners voting tory and brexshit. @jamsheadaziz3999
As a Northerner if you find this bit offensive. You are from a different generation. Growing up we used to take the piss out of each other all the time.
As a 17 year old lad from Yorkshire, don't see how anyone could take offense to this it's just a joke.... Think people and the media seriously overstate how " sensitive" our generation is, most people I know couldn't give a fuck what ppl say
I left Carlisle (far north of England) to attend college in the Midlands, my room mate was from London. One day she remarked, 'I tried what you do today and it worked.' 'What was that? I asked. She replied, 'I said 'hello' to a passer by and they smiled and said 'hello' back! 40ys later this still holds true.
I grew up in the South and then moved North. 10 years and I still startle anytime stranger says good morning to me randomly in the street. It takes a few minutes to think about responding, by which point I'm basically shouting good morning after them down the street 😂
No traffic, no congestion, no stress, no two hours to get across town, no miserable unhelpful people, no congestion charges, no £12 for a pint, no £300 for a night out, love what we ain't got up here. Like London but two days that's enough 😅😅
@@dh7493 I got that it's not Russell Howard. I didn't need it explaining, I got that the previous guy was taking the Mick. Was being sarcastic. He too clearly knew it wasn't Russell Howard. You pointed that out, like we all didn't know. I'm British m8, like all Brits I was born sarcastic. Born at 7.24 in the A.M and I said to my mum that's the earliest I've been for anything...she said actually that I was a week late..😏. Just how we are. If your not British I'll be surprised to be fair.
It's a good point of humour .. some are taking it serious getting all defensive. I'm from down south but live in the glorious midlands now, best of both worlds =)
@@krainey Yeah, im very proud Yorkshireman but you have to laugh. I lived down south for ten years and always joked about the shitholes down there, Luton, Slough, Peterborough!
I grew up in London in the 60’s I visit my old house & every couple of years it get more & more depressing & our railway cottage back then was beautiful but it’s now worth £500.000 & the hole area is so run down
I walked into a garage after getting fuel while working in London, I said hello to the lady behind the counter and asked if she was OK in a friendly manner .... BLANK STARE BACK didn't say a word WEIRDOS😂😂😂
I had many similar experiences in London when I lived there. The vast majority of people are just ignorant, anti-social f-wits. No concept of banter to pass the time, plus they make you feel like you've just shat on their living room carpet.
@@BlindingSun_it's a myth that Irish folk don't like English folk. Geordies, Scouse and Mancs are all sound, funny and a strong sense of themselves. We dislike the arrogance of the ones in the South East.
@@MrBagpipes That doesn't really make sense unless you are being purposely divisive. Obviously the SE of England and London is home to a lot of Irish people as well as people from the the NE and NW and others from all around the world. Somehow you equate a geography with people....says a lot about you and your views.
Brummie here 👋 i do a lot of driving around the country for work. I used to drive to london 4 times a week and now have been going north as far as york with stops along the way and I can 100% say the north is a far nicer place to be than london. You feel less stressed and laid back and people actually give you way on the roads unlike london where it's a free for all and you have to push your way in.
I’d shoot my self if I had to admit I had a brummie accent. Might aswell hold your hand up and say I’m from Leeds or Bradford. Which by the way, is not considered a northern city
@@TehDawg could be worse, like the scouse accent 😅 I believe the brummie accent you're referring and most people think of is more of a black country accent so you hear it more in Dudley, Wolverhampton and Walsall area's....I can't say I'm a fan of it either.
I was in London (Islington) visiting friends, I was walking down a street and I asked a bloke "Do you know the time " and he replied "Buy a f***ing watch" that's Southeners for you! I'm from Manchester by the way and here in the North I'd have gotten a civil and respectful answer.
To be fair the northerners in the comment section have got a point. I love the north especially Leeds I was there for work 2 weeks ago I park in the trinity car park walk outside towards my hotel and I hear this “Oi! ….. you got that quid I lent ya” was a homeless man and we both laughed so much. Then the southern came out and I went into my cosy hotel room. But they are genuinely nicer up there even the homeless have more class then most southerners
Moved to the south coast of England , lasted 3 years before leaving , sick of drug addicts shooting heroin or smoking crack in shop doorways as I walked thru town Center, absolutely foul place to be .
Yeah, beautiful Bradford,Rochdale,Leeds, Blackburn, were you can leave your doors open(if you still have one),at least in the south we have a choice of good and bad areas. And for yous to think the south are soft, then you should move down here and find out.
@Ditto463 OH!, sorry, don't they count as Oop North?, but it's alright to generalise about the south?, I live in London and believe it or not I love it, I even speak to my neighbours, hahaha 😆.
@@denisdiderot6779 least we are having fun and not running round stabbing everyone. Its more expensive in London because of investors not because its better.
@@queensberryrulez5306 lmao there are way more stabbings up north, per capita, than in London. Honestly, you guys are so out of touch with reality it's actually a joke...
The southern car delivery drivers who bring cars up to are Leeds Garage from London, always say were a lot more friendly up ere! There rite! 😊The North is full of Deprived area's, but look what else we have Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland, lake District Moores, Coasts............so on!!! Love it!!!😊
As a foreigner, I've a lot of things about people from North England, specially Liverpool and Newcastle. I visited both, and I loved the people and the cities.
Geordies and scousers are some of the friendliest / funniest people in the country and I’m from Manchester. Either way the North of England is where it’s at 🥰
But you live in united Kingdom of Islamic migration centers sooo ure close to living in the same place. It has nothing to do with London, ull lose your city soon too
I'm devastated i only paid 210k for my semi detached house and you divs down south pay 700k for a terraced house in SE London.....! Yep that's SE London.....!!!!!!! But you have got Buckingham palace to go gorp at....!!! YNWA
@0170barney Yres he's lucky. He's not alone in getting away with something. And guven that he niw has zero public presence, I'd question the statement that he got away with it.
@superflyjimmysnucka9068 Sorry for making a very valid point when southerners consistently slate the North, we don't need your pity lmao. Rather be up north than in London 😂
@@Adam-gn5khWho's pitying you? Southerners don't give a fcuk about the North as I'm sure the North don't about the South! You seem to have an inferiority complex! It's a joke!
Blackpool is a bit rough alright but it has Lytham on its doorstep and the lake’s up the road. There is no comparison to living up north than down south.
@@tonypaul3205I’ve got notifications turned off but have seen you’ve replied to loads of comments, so I’ll pre-empt your reply as I won’t see it: Idgaf
Having been to a few of these places. Blackpool was tragic what has happened to it. But I was amazed by how beautiful and thriving Bradford was. Fantastic place
I used to stay and visit the bright lights of London often in my student days and twenties however I can't recall one act of kindness or warmth. Not being cruel but never remember anyone smiling either or replying to me saying "thank you". I can't imagine it's any better a decade or more later.
@@mryorkshire4188 Ah thanks for your concern mate but I'm fine ta, I regularly pop out for a vape in me shorts and t shirt when it's only a couple of degrees out... we're not as soft as you think 😉
Yeah, I asked in a shop down south where their bottles of pop were, and they didn't understand me, they especially didn't understand the word Pop, for some reason
Yeah but at least it's cheaper. Have a guy living near me who is from London and he moved up norf to be with his now ex Gf. He says he wouldn't change it for the world. Manchester is a great city.
Southerners attach themselves to the rich in their society and identify as such. Truth is some of the worst affected areas of poverty are those down south
