About losing taxi etiquette, that is real and I'm sad all that knowledge is not that useful: of which taxi services are good, different cities' different qualities, how to flag a taxi down, when to dodge a taxi and wait for the next one, what rates they'd charge, how they would dodge the fare meter, how to haggle them down, how to sit securely with confidence and safety in a stranger's car. Some of those points carry over to rideshare apps but not all of them.
