Nik, my dude, you love Aussie bands, Northlane and Polaris especially, but you have to react to some Thornhill. They are criminally underrated and I think you'd love them if you've not listened. Would recommend reacting to Where We Go When We Die, killer track and has an awesome video too. Would love to see that reaction!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS PLEASEEEEEE I LOVE THORNHILL!!!!!!! Their whole Dark Pool album as a whole I think is some of the best metal out there. It came out a couple years ago already now which I'm guessing is why he hasn't done a reaction to it, but he needs to, it's so good

@@imoanadz i need node quality mixing again.. i know you guys go back too that album and even on here, it just is so much louder than half the mixes today... sounds PHENOMANL. honestly to me node is northlane peak... mesmer is node 2.0. alien in a new league. so i mean like... give me a combo of all three in obsidian :3

"808s all day." Clearly, he's right since the band doesn't have a bassist currently. For real, this song's been growing on me after multiple listens. Chorus took a bit to get warmed up to, but it still sounds great especially the 2nd time when Marcus hits those higher notes. They also said that this album will feature way more edm and techno influences. So I'm pretty excited to see what the rest of the album has to offer!

I still think that "Metamorphosis" and "Dream Awake" are their best tracks so far. But if we talk about albums, "Singularity" of course was the best one, "Alien" is also good imo.

@@Vixfor_ I am someone who got (properly) introduced to the metal genre after the modern metal wave started. So my tastes are usually more inclined towards newer albums because they incorporate alot of those modern metal elements that I love and enjoy. I am slowly working my way backward into the older sections of Northlanes discography and I gotta say, even tho Alien is fucking amazing, Singularity is growing on me ALOT.

@@dweeb7652 I'm also a huge fan of Modern Metalcore, especially Prog. I'm a fan of such bands as: Oceans ate alaska, Invent Animate, Loathe, Spiritbox, Northlane, Thornhill, Erra, Novelists(2015-2017), Veil of Maya, The Ansible, etc. I think all these bands put something unique and experimental. But this is the list if we take only Prog-Metalcore scene. I'd say that such albums as "Singularity" by Northlane and "Augment" by Erra were some kind of evolution for genre in my opinion. I love melodic ambient opened breakdowns and they had really a lot of these things in their tracks. "Greyview" by Invent Animate was some kinda returned nostalgia to "Singularity" for me.

Wow, what a journey... I loved your facial expressions too because they were pretty much how I felt about the video! I wasn't sure at the beginning but the song changed so much throughout and then it grew on me... love them or hate them, Northlane are always evolving and I can respect any band that has the balls to do that with each album. This year has seen some great metal albums and I look forward to Northane's next album, because I'm sure it will be another unique release from them. Plus, only two days to go until Silent Planet's new album and I'm expecting it to be an instant banger! 🤘

I love Northlane, I love this, I am excited for the album, not much else I can say. Video is fun, I was on the live chat for the premiere and the guys were in good spirits about it as they knew what they were doing and were prepared for what was to come in terms of reception. I read Jon was nervous to put too much work into this as didn't think it would be well received, glad they decided to pursue it in the end.

After watching the recent miss universe Harnaaz Sandhu I'm completely baffled. After that I've started to follow their country a little. Then I discovered a new kind of sound from their country, but not their traditional folk instrument sound or any classical sound. Its a heavy riff, catchy grooves and punchy chorus. I can't explain it. it is an experience. The name of the song is "Hybrid theory Tanhayee". First the girl, then that song both fucked up my mind. I want you to see it.
