I must reiterate the Karnivool sentiments. Sound Awake is a masterpiece, still sounds amazing 14 years later. Production at its best.

I remember showing you some Karnivool tunes on twitch. The way their records Themata and Sound Awake are mixed/produced are just pure genius. Forrester Savell is a mastermind producer and engineer

+1 for checking out more Karnivool. And a few other Aussie bands that are just as good are Cog, Dead Letter Circuis, and The Butterfly Effect. These bands basically dominated the Aussie metal/prog scene in the 2000s and are all unbelievable in their own way. I feel like if they were breaking out in this more digital age they would be huge bands and get more global recogition. Definitely hidden gems for metal metal/prog fans these days.

Masterpiece of a song. This is amazing. I cannot stop isolating the drums. Nic on the drums is leading this song. Sure they all make this so euphoric and chunky banger, but fuck, Nic is just front and center sending this.

it's pretty obvious that Northlane is focusing on evolving their production and overall sonic feel, while taking a more minimalist route guitar wise. I think it's pretty cool, but I'm hoping we might get some more technical riffage this album.

Karnivool is definitely one of the best bands to not release an album in like FOREVER hahaha. Their last album, Assymetrys is from like '12 or 13'... the hype on the them only grows as they keep this silly hiatus. You should definitely check them out... Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus, two amazing Aussie acts. Karnivool came to Toronto back in 2009 - too bad I didn't live here back in the day.

Karnivool along with Twelve Foot Ninja are my favourite bands of all time. You seriously need to go down the rabbit hole with both those bands.

I heard this earlier this morning and I absolutely love it.

This is the 1st time I've heard of karnivool and I know I'm going to get roasted, but I'm really having a hard time knowing when the future comes in. They sound similar in tone and I'm just trying to know when dude comes in so I can appreciate his feature😭

In Australia, the top 3 prog rock/metal bands since the 00’s have been Karnivool, Cog and Dead Letter Circus. Sunk Loto are in there too but much heavier and are now more metalcore. On first listen, I definitely felt the same about this that I did about The Void by Spiritbox. But that song definitely was a grower for me. Also, The Plot In You just released a new single and it's...Ho boy. You gotta react to it 😅

Northlane's singles never impress me. But when they drop albums, everything makes sense lol

So when they played this song live before it's release it had a different intro, a small build up which was way better than what they released. Intro is too short😢
