Another great video Jarrow Viking fishing at Embleton Beach. You've inspired me to give it a shot, normally i by pass it to make a bee line for Dunstanburgh Castle point or Low Newton rocks for codling in the kelp. Keep up the great work and well done on the catches some boy tight lines
@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785
Good luck if you give the beach ago I've heard it can be good for cod during winter storms but ive yet to try.. anyway as you know its a beautiful spot to visit whatever the fish are doing

Nice catching those trout mate, but be very careful with them. Extremely sensitive fish. You have to Wade out into the surf to return them mate. Well done tho great catches!!! I find ragworm and mackerel works a treat for them too

Thanks for the advice Leo I aleays try to handle my fish the best I can but they do often jump when I show them to the camera. I do put all of my catch back and I can say hand on heart the sea trout have all went back without a problem

they fight like demons Brian...it jumped clear out of the water twice and swam around my legs like a bullet...for its size it was without doubt the strongest fish I've hooked

Nice video. I fished up there in January and had a good haul of flatties and a sea trout. Just to let you know that you must have a migratory EA rod licence to keep the sea trout, otherwise, it’s illegal 😬.

Just started watching your videos mate and they are cracking 👍 live in Edinburgh and do quite a bit fishing down the east coast but never ventured past Eyemouth to fish. Might head further south after watching this even if it’s for the views alone.

Always wet you hands handling any trout if going to return it. They have a protective slim a bit like carp and pike and allows them to be prone to disease when removed. Also trouts gills are very sensitive hence why I said Wade out a little to return them. The surf bartering off the trouts gills will do some damage. Lovely video though. Love watching them :)

@@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785 what weight are them watch leads? I fished north of there on Saturday n was using 4oz, but kept being washed around so had to go heavier grippers. Did get a 3lb sea trout last cast. Just wondering how u get away with the light gear. Cheers

Good videos I've lived up here all my life .at warrenford not realy keen on the publicity .as noticed more fisherman up her from down the way .leaving fishing litter .same down the steads at embleton. .also sea trout being returned must be kept in the surf as they are very fragile .and a rod licence is needed to catch them .I spoke to two or three lots targeting them and none had even heard of a license .and if they had caught would they have retuned them property or at all ..
@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785

Glad you like the videos Gordon...I'll certainly handle them with kid gloves next time. Unfortunately there are bad apples in every type of sport but tbh Id be more worried about the dog walkers golfers ramblers and sightseers brought into Northumberland by various Facebook groups that promote the "hidden parts of Northumberland than the very few anglers that visit ......most anglers I know respect the coast and absolutely abhor being tarred with the rubbish brush. As for a licence sea anglers who catch sea trout as a by catch and return them have no requirement for a licence...I cant comment on the anglers motives you have talked to but its a big wide world and we are all free to go where we want and enjoy our sport again after covid...the locals cant complain when they rely on such people for tourism maybe some signage at parking areas would educate we are not all bad from down south and the city
@gordongladstone5760
@gordongladstone5760 3 года назад
Its a fair comment .I only got to know about the videos through a friend of mine the warden .as we were bombarded with fishers .not all left litter but some did .and some were not very keen on litter advice .as for dog walkers i agree im a deer stalker and get problems with them .so i know were your coming from as for fishing locations I keep them to myself a few of my friends are ghillies and would hate to think fisher were targeting the sea trout on that stretch of coast without the appropriate licence in my opinion it encourage s good and bad fishers Linn hope spout is a perfect example of litter louts sorry to be so harsh you seem a decent bloke and a very responsible bloke we have exceptionally good fishing up here and want all anglers to be responsible and tidy .that's my response .

@@gordongladstone5760 its normally the.newbie summer mackerel anglers who make the mess especially those who fish at dunstanburgh they can make a terrible mess...i just dont know what it is wrong with them beer cans and plastic bags left on rocks....some are just uneducated morons....the rest of us who take pride in our sea fishing have two rules...leave only footsteps and if you take it there bring it back... dog walkers are the same good and bad those that take the dog muck and bin it and those who put it in a bag then chuck it nearby into trees etc....just not on bad people everywhere in everything we enjoy

Its a shame my parents belong near there .but its not a place I go to because it is popular .but didn't realize it was that bad .but hey I love to see anglers out .and yes I think u have the same opinion as me on dog walkers some are great and other let there dogs pee on your gear .but that's life ..tight lines
