I was taking a nap and almost missed the test but this day turned out to be perfect for me cause I of course did not know I was going to be with a firefighter who was doing his routine checks on the Thunderbolt. What I wanted to do is have my cameras facing just the blower only since I've already filmed this siren twice already but there isn't any good videos on RU-vid of a 5M blower running and I've always wanted to hear a 5M blower up close in person and FINALLY got my wish and the result came out better than what I originally had planned. The 2001 you saw at the beginning is the same 2001 you may have heard on my first video of this 1000 10 years ago and was glad to be able to briefly hear it up close sounding off and driving away from it to get to the Thunderbolt as fast as I safely could. It sure was quite a thrill of a experience for me just hearing what sirens sound like apart from each other. The firefighter told me he has been trying to keep this Thunderbolt maintained as best as he could and he cares very deeply about that siren and will continue to do service on it. It's amazing that Northville is willing to keep this siren since Northville only has two 2001s and this 1000. There is no plans of having the Thunderbolt replaced but the firefighter told me that someday, he would like to have the Thunderbolt replaced with a 1003 whenever that'll be but until then, this 1000 is expected to still remain in service for hopefully many more years to come despite of what it has gone through. God bless you firefighter Chris for your dedication to Thunderbolts.
