Norway cooperates with UK to supply Ukraine with new M270 MLRS and "Arthur" artillery guidance radar

Norway announced its support for Ukraine through the provision of three Arthur artillery locating radars and eight M270 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS). The contributions are being made in tight collaboration with the United Kingdom.

Why would Norway be giving up on MLRS? I understand pre war they decided they could not afford them but now they have seen to be a game changer!

They have not give up Himars or M270. Norway did commit itself not to use cluster munitions together with most countries.. The M270 that Norway donated to Ukraine are intended for cluster rocket bomb ammunition. I have reason to believe Ukraine also received tons of cluster munition in that transfer.
