Danke fürs teilen. Vor zig Jahren sind wir in Norwegen zum Fischen gefahren. Hitra war unser Ziel. Wir sind durch den Tunnel auf die Insel und waren von der Fahrt völlig erschöpft, meine Mannen schliefen allesamt, nur ich konnte nicht "pennen" :-) Also nahm ich meine Spinnrute und fing an, bei auflaufenden Wasser Fische ich einen großen Seelachs nacheinander, alles vom Ufer aus. Ich machte dort so einen Alarm das alles meine Mitstreiter wach wurden und ihre Ruten nahmen und mitfischten, leider kam keiner auf die Idee es zu Filmen, es wäre ein Mega Clip geworden. So bleibt nur die Erinnerung an dieses Aussergewöhnliches Erlebnis. Beste Grüße Maik

The greatest thing about fishing in Norway is that the fish you catch will last for a long time, it comes out of the water pre-frozen.😁

Boy that's what you call a diehard fisherman. I fished in winter a lot but nothing near what they are fishing in. Not sure what kind of fish that was but it was a real nice one. Congrats to him.

For sure I would be wearing an inflatable life vest......boots and cloths you might sink like a rock with that current Plus you'll be in hypothermia within 1 to 3 minutes depending on build I've done cold weather survival training in Northern Canada

I thought he was fighting a Salmon too, given the river. But it looks like a Cod to me which I have never seen caught from shore. Pretty amazing spot but Dangerous.

@@neilgordon8145 I've never heard of it,thank you. Is that something common in Scandinavian waters? We go to Sweden about every 5 years and would love to try fishing again. Last time we went Cod fishing in between Denmark and Sweden, I think it was Kattegat bay. But the fishing was great.

I thought the fish was a saltraumen- no, it’s the water. The fish looks like a pollock with coalfish colours. Let’s call it a Saithe- up and down the British coasts those two fish used to take turns in being called Saithe or similar. In Cornwall, overbite- coalfish, underbite- pollock.

The fish caught was a coalfish, also known as a saithe or coley. The Americans call them pollock. Pollack spelt with an 'A' is probably the fish you would catch in Cornwall. Coalfish prefer much colder water. Both the coalfish and the pollack are members of the cod family.

It is a saithe, pollock in the us. Pollachius virens in latin. The current IGFA All-Tackle World Record is 22.7 kg (50 lb) which was caught at Saltstraumen in Norway.

@@thatotherguy1 In the UK the fish is known as a Coalfish or Saithe, it's a member of the cod family. In the fishmongers it is known as a coley. I believe in the US it is known as a pollock, which is not the same fish as the pollack, another member of the cod family found in Northern Europe.
