Oh you absolutely should. It is a tad expensive there, but going to smaller cities helps. I highly recommend namsos. It's a nice smaller town and has great hiking and boating areas. There's also a swimming pool in one of the mountains. "Oasen Svømme og Miljøsenter" is really nice place to swim while on holiday.

Norway has pretty decent mobile coverage, to be honest. While Google Earth, and other map-apps are less than reliable to chrt the wilderness, Norwegian, and the Nordic countries in general, are dedicated in maintaining the nature trails and mapping the areas on regular basis. And, if the worst case happens, the helicopter and rescue services has created an app that tracks your gps location during your call. That says something about their faith to the 3G and 4G coverage in this country. Guess it all depends on how your phone carrier cooperates with the local ones.
