I've booked a 10 day cruise to the eastern Carribean aboard the Getaway. Leaving from NYC, in February 2024. This will be my first cruise, and I am celebrating my 60th b'day in San Juan !
I've watched a number of reviews about this and other ships and you have the most detailed review. I will now look at the rest of your reviews. Also, I'm seriously considering booking a cruise, on this ship, though it will be one to the Caribbean.

Great video really helpful. We are going on the Getaway on back to back from Rome to Southampton via Lisbon soon. One thing I noticed is that the Getaway is offering 3rd and 4th Guests going for port taxes only. Have you ever used this incentive to take your Parents/friends?? We went on Breakaway in May (Rome Santorini etc) which had less kids on but was still full on busy. At least temperature was good around mid/late 20`s. Keep up the good work!

We loved your video! But having seen the recent reviews for NCL Getaway cruises that are more recent since your trip, they are all in the 2-3 star range on quite a few different websites. A little disappointed as we loved hearing about your experience. I was going to book but, will keep looking.
I have been on 13 NCL cruises but none on the Getaway just yet. I am looking at either September 2025 canadian cruise or out of New Orleans in February. I only cruise when the children are in school.
Your sailing was fully booked? How did you manage to make all these shots with no people? Was on the Getaway with only 630 people and never saw a bar or the buffet empty.
