From a Leeds fan I respect both you guys you always give a balanced perspective. Always love the chats you have with Conor. All the best next season. MOT
Chris and jack spot on again,we were shocking and Leeds were brilliant on the night,it was a very painful watch to go with our away form has been poor all season,we need fresh faces and a cash injection from somewhere,no parachute payments now 😪😆💛💚🏴⚪🏳️💰🤞
Your team is probably my next favourite. Real fans. Ground is a colosseum. White rose of Yorkshire (second best county) on the badge. Biggest city in a proud county always opposed to the Protestant soullessness of the South. Real England. Big club innit. The love's returned sir. Hope you stay up and replace the fake clubs like Bournemouth in the prem
As a Leeds fan I love you guys, however I think you're deluded on how good Norwich's squad is. Leeds, Leicester & Southampton's squad are far superior so not sure what you expected in the play offs and indeed during the season. 6th was the best you could have hoped for imo.
I'd say the squad we have did amazing since the turn of the year to even get into playoffs, 1st half of season was a disaster but injuries to key players played a part, without those I think 3rd was achievable. That said, Norwich this season are champions at shooting our own feet
@@NFTinvestments74 But that just proves my point doesn’t it? You don’t need the best squad in the championship so your original comment of ‘Southampton, Leeds and Leicester all have better squads than you. Therefore, sixth was the best you could’ve hoped for’ obviously isn’t true.
We've been through your pain and lost in the play offs to Charlton , Millwall ,Watford,Derby snd even Doncaster ! August will soon come and you will forget what happened at Elland Road . Marching on Together
Every player on the pitch played like Loris Karius against Leeds. Saying we would have conceded 10 if it wasn’t for Gunn is just daft. Gunn has been fantastic all season, but he had a shocker at Leeds (as did everyone). Let’s hope it is a case of #knappertime and not #wetknapp
In our chat after Leeds game we had lots of other clubs taking the piss and laughing at us, I asked one (Sheffield utd) why he was here, and his response was "cos of that **** saying we were shit for no reason" maybe going forward chris might wanna tone down calling other clubs "shit, awfull or shitholes" creating unwanted rivalries? Spoiler alert chris, we ain't as good as you think we are, and it's only going to get worse as our team gets diluted.
@@geoffpoole483 100% m8. Just irritates me that he says "we should beat them they are shit" we should beat them is fine, but he loves to throw an insult in, fans see this, they clip and share it. But when it inevitably comes back comments are deleted, and ppl are blocked. I'd rather be the team that go about it quietly.
Sorry boys but Barnes is shite, if any other striker we had that scored as many as he did you would have wanted him dropped, The whole defence needs to go for starters, centre backs are either too old too slow or both, it’s a monumental task ahead to rid this club of old crap. The spine we have to rebuild unfortunately will get sold, and I bet we end up keeping Barnes, Duffy, Hanley come on please if we are to start somewhere it has to be getting shot of those players thank god batth gibbo has gone, shame Sam has tho and dimi to a degree, but this clear out needs to be massive
Will Idah really want to return after the way some fans have treated him? Will Abu want to play for us? Will Warner still want to be with us? Tzolis scored a hattrick yesterday and finished the season as the league's top scorer. No way he'll want to play for us. And keeping Sara, Sainz, Rowe and Sarge is a whole different Dielema.
I would seriously just sell Tzolis whilst he's in form - same for Idah. Allow the new coach to poach some up-and-coming Scandinavians instead 😁. We could end up with the new Laudrup brothers if we're lucky.
Just a quick shout out to you 2 fellas. I've listened/watched you guys for years and have absolutely zero affinity to Norwich other than TNC. Which goes to show the great job you lads do! Just think things could be worse. You could be a Grimsby Town fan like myself! Enjoy the summer!
Barnes would be good to keep as he heads into a coaching role mindset though, seems what he is made for but then that depends on the new look. Duffy away for being a numpty and maybe Rowe for pointless diving and cash in.
As an Ireland fan I can say that Shane Duffy gave us great service, and for a couple of years he was just about the only Irish player capable of scoring a goal, but his legs went at least five years ago. If you find yourself being outpaced by Piroe you know you're in trouble, and it was Duffy who ultimately passed that ball to Rutter as well.
Here's an option for head coach you have not thought of....Rogier Meijer (42), current coach of NEC Nijmegen. He likes attractive fast football. He led NEC into the Eredivisie 2 years ago and led them to a solid 6th place in the Eredivisie and the final of the Dutch Cup. Good mix of new young players and some experienced players. Compared to Carlos Cuesta he'll be cheap!
Is there no homegrown talent anymore? If we keep passing the life chances over to foreign talent there's never going to be much to choose from for British coaches. It's not like they have similar number and quality of opportunities abroad like the foreign coaches...
Respect you guys very classy, painful result for you as a Leeds fan was shocked we did so well, Sunday though will be tough. Anyway good luck for next season. Love your chats with Connor.
I've been disappointed with the defence the entire season. The forwards are good, the midfield was arguably the best in the league and yet if the opposition was on the attack it was all down to Gunn to stop it because the defence has been a joke. But Norwich's real issue this season has been the lack of closing down the opposition, in a lot of games it's just taken 20 seconds to lose the ball, a couple of passes or a cross happens and we have conceded a goal. One of those Leeds goals in that disastrous game only took 8 seconds, and there were no interceptions, no challenges and they essentially just got to run the ball close to our box.
Amazing logic from Chris. So if there was another keeper other than Gunn in Goal then those 6 other shots would be guaranteed to have gone in and we would have lost 10-0? Zero chance ANY keeper makes ANY of those saves? Just amazing 👏
You didn’t mention Onel (Mr NCFC). Heart on sleeve. Tattoo on his arm. If he can still do a forward flip surely he can score a few overhead kicks next season? 🤞
I didn’t get to many away games this season. Saints, Watford, QPR and Fulham in the cup. Watford arguably one of our worst away performances this season
Who excites most out of our young defenders, Hills, Adeboyega or Warner 🤔 What are Hills playing style and strengths? He seems to get the most attention at present but I know the least about him
"Norwich is a sexy club". 😂😂😂😂 No history, millions in debt, no money, fire sale this summer and now in the shadow of their neighbours. As for "everyone can beat Ipswich" is that why they had the best home record of any side in the division and lost the fewest games of any team? Norwich sexy ?! 😂😂😂😂 Jesus you're deluded.
@@Donners329 relative to what? Not to the other teams with parachute payments, or to those with actual history and tradition of success at the club. Norwich are in serious difficulty now because they don't have the income to fund the wages of the squad and will have to sell or risk administration. They are now a mid table mediocre side. If you think that is sexy well there's no helping you is there.
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1I’m not sure you understand our football club mate. We’ll be back in the PL in the next 5 years, just you watch. No need for a salty reply btw, we’ve been in much worse positions than this and we’ll be fine.
@@edw4543 I'm not your mate and understand Norwich city very well. It's a club that has in its honours list "participating" in six matches in the UEFa cup; it had a bus parade for losing in the play off final; it has never won a European title, fa cup or league championship; it's tinpot.
We had injures early on in the season resulting in that death slump then we had push the engine to the floor to make up lost ground tired and football skills pushed to there limits they inexorably began to lose the edge they had if? They ever had one at all finally it turned in too the slow motion train crash it sadly was there my end of season report.
As an Ipswich supporter who got some stick for daring to post on here prior to us losing at Carrow Road, and after, and being told that Ipshit would not be promoted and I was deluded, this is my 'waving from the bus' moment. I did actually make the point that Ipswich were poorly run under Marcus Evans, to the extent that unless he went, our next move would have been L2, and Norwich were by comparison like a well oiled machine (Delia was well oiled at times) I made the comparison between Ipswich supporters unwisely waving £20 notes at Carrow road, and Norwich supporters focusing on the most important thing being beating Ipswich. Of course we should have won at Portman Road, but Rowe saved Norwich, and Norwich away was one of three games last season where we didn't turn up, the others being Leeds and WBA away, but we did ok in the other 43 games, losing just three of those. I am not aware enough of how Norwich is being run to make any sensible comment, yet clearly it is not being run as well as it was, and for me, this coming season is crucial for Norwich, as I think you will have to trim your wage bill, and try and build some stability and cohesion, as the turnover of managers is starting to head a little towards being a little bit like Watford. The one thing that Ipswich have at there moment which is rare in football is unity and stability, and Norwich seem to have neither. Finally, I did actually think that the podcast is pretty decent, to be fair, although all that yellow and green is horrible, and of course I had to filter out the scum and Ipshit comments prior to the game at Carrow Road, but beyond that the content is very well considered, so that was noticeable,
@@Garbage_Pail_Kid Not from me, and many Ipswich supporters look at the wider picture. Yes , we want to beat Norwich when we play you, but the rest of the time, you are irrelevant, whereas I think most Norwich fans obsess over Ipswich.
@@kevinbailey3384Ahhh, so it's the Norwich fans who obsess over Ipswich? Says the Ipswich fan, posting under a Norwich video. Hung by your own petard, me thinks. 😊
I agree with Chris Sutton glad we didn't get promoted this squad would get smashed 4-0 every week. No Left back next season maybe McLean or Sorensen will play there . I watched the semI final on TV i think I turned it off after the 2nd or 3rd goal if the team are not bothered why should I bother. The loans were awful better off getting a bank loan and give the players a cash incentive for clean sheets and goals.
My gut is. Sara will go for sure. I think Rowe will stay as he's been injured too much for anyone to want to meet our demands (please don't let him go for peanuts 🙈) Sargent I'm on the fence over. I think he might go though. I was worried about Angus going too, but Elland road shows that he clearly wanted to stay and wasn't trying to impress any scouts 😂 let's hope Angus doesn't get his confidence permanently smoked by the Germans in a few weeks
3:04 that sit tight for 20mins strategy is utter BS given the "cup final" nature of the tie. You can also quiet the crowd by taking the game to the home side. But again quieting the crowd is an almost pointless task in the pressure cooker/sound barrier breaking effect of the irrepressible fans at Elland Road. Inept analysis and apologism for Wagner's strategy if it was indeed "sit tight for 20". 👎
Is there no homegrown head coaching talent anymore? If we keep passing the life chances over to foreign talent there's never going to be much to choose from for British coaches. It's not like they have similar number and quality of opportunities abroad like the foreign coaches... Same goes for most players outside the top 6 EPL...
@@Vesividad86yeah but that was when you had parachute money - you won't come close now the money has run out, and you will sell your best players, and slide away into obscurity.
I believe Rowe must shoulder some of the blame for Leeds first goal, he should have stayed in position and not followed Summerville leaving a gap in the wall. Also he lost the ball in centre of field which led to their second goal.
I’m just gonna say it now. We should accept being a normal mid table championship team now. Our owner are not bothered to spend enough money to buy proper players, all of our best players will leave this summer and our loans will not want to come play with us as they feel more welcomed to their loans than their actual parent club. We’re going to fall apart and sack our next manager this season and we will fall apart and end up like Watford and Swansea. Having a sweet taste of what championship is all about. We might as well accept it now rather than feel disappointed later.
Can Delia please sell the remainder of her shares already and can the wealthy 🇺🇸 please invest some money into a rebuild of our squad . The reason this season has been so rubish is simply because of the decisions made summer 23 we cannot exspect to compete in any division by building a squad of free transfer past their prime players . After the promotion to prem Paul lambert was asked what will it take for Norwich to compete his answer footballs not rocket science we need good players .
There are some very good players available on free transfers if a club does its homework. Tim Krul and Pukki are a couple of examples; but as the basis for a recruitment policy it's doomed to failure.
Play offs was the minimum. You were MILES off the top 4, let alone the top 2. Southampton didn’t beat you, you’re right. However, you didn’t beat Rotherham. 😂
Norwich didn't play for a draw in the first leg. They went for it. They just couldn't create any clear opportunities in the first half and then Leeds got back in the game. They weren't as good as Leeds across 2 legs. Simple
Liked the podcast. But Norwich need to get over this weird obsession with Leeds, I understand the hurt after the semi final. But you guys spent years abusing the fact that we were owned by Ken Bates and tearing our squads to pieces and now you act like you've got some kind of axe to grind with us as if we've done anything remotely like that to you. You guys deserve everything you get for the very strange short man/little brother syndrome when we have not been bothered by you other than when we play. Hopefully we are two leagues apart by the end of next season
@@jamesr5827 It was posted in the evening and took about 30 seconds. It's also hilarious to see Norwich fail like this, many of your supporters and in particular this channel have given it the big un all season about 15 years, about how Norwich broke Ipswich in December and particularly the 1-0 win in April. Then you can't take it when you get it back. It's an open channel, and if Norwich fans and these two are going to make comments about Ipswich then they have to accept comments back.
@@geoffpoole483 good one, but you can't deny and don't try to deny anything I've said. It's all true. Only a tinpot club puts as an actual honour that they made up the numbers in a competition. It just smacks of being small time. Ipswich played over 60 games in all three European competitions. We would never dream of merely taking part as being an honour. Winning, yes.
Biggest problem is like yourselves there are too many arrogant Norwich fans - expecting too much from an average team, blaming everyone from the owners, board, manager(s) etc…..try sticking with your team for a few weeks even when the results don’t go your way….Gunn has been exceptional but slagged off for a couple of mistakes against a much better team!
I love these two, the delusion that Norwich are anything but a desperately average club is fantastic, it’s like their talking about Juventus or something😂😂
@@Garbage_Pail_Kid- I'm sure you are - probably look for the Ipswich results before your own as per usual. And McKenna is staying - looking forward to it 👍
McKenna will be gone after a few spankings - if he doesn't go whilst he actually still has credibility then he will end up on the scrapheap like Lambert. It makes me happy knowing that you can't get Norwich out of your head. I hope that 15 year run is the last thing you think about when you go to sleep and the first thing you think about when you wake up. 😂
@@Garbage_Pail_Kid - I see the original comment I responded to has conveniently disappeared, not surprised, anyway as for the good old "15 years" do you honestly think anyone outside the NR bubble actually gives 2 hoots about that? What an amazing season! The mighty blues get promoted and your little team embarrass themselves in the playoffs (in fairness how did you get even there?) On top of that, your manager gets sacked, you have no money and all your 'good' players are going to leave. ps. we dont want any of them as they aren't good enough. ps. shave that head private school boy, that hairline isn't fooling anybody. pps. I like Jack, seems a nice fella.
And yet you still couldn't beat a sub-par Norwich, home or away. We will forever be in your head. See you on the way down - hopefully in time to celebrate 16 (maybe even 17!) years. 💋
What club would he go to? No PL club would buy a player who has been injured half the year and relatively unproven in the Championship still, would they? The Leeds gossip rumours are ridiculous. Sargent is still debated about whether he should play for the US. All three would probably give it another crack.
