Duffy needs to be dropped, he cannot play in a possession based team with a high line. He is far too slow to deal with the opposition counter attacks. Will be interested in seeing Hills or Warner next to Cordoba with Doyle at LB. I think that will be better defensively than we are currently

Some good positives in there for Norwich...you can defo see what Thorup is trying to do and how he's shaping the new squad...On another day...we win that game 4-1...Sargent could (and should) have had a hat-trick...but given he was out most of last season through injury...we'll put it down to a bit of 'rustiness'...once he get's up to 'full speed' once again, our problem will be possibly keeping hold of him?...My main concern is (once again) the defence...we really need to sort out our best 4...For me I think Cordoba and Hills could play well together and form a good partnership at the back (with Duffy and Warner as back up), Doyle at left back (with Cresene as back up), Stacey at right-back (Fisher as back up)...If we could get in another experienced centre back...that would be a massive benefit...and we defo need another striker (Sarge can't do it all on his own?)
Hi Jack , Agree , thought it was a cracking game of football. Both City and Blackburn looked decent sides and played some good stuff. Sargent looked sharp , but you're right we do need another out and out striker to replace him when he tires and more importantly as cover if he gets injured.I did enjoy seeing so many new faces on the pitch and we looked so much younger and fresher than Oxford's display.Big game next week and i hope we can build on the momentum. Mixed but mainly positive feelings about today. The A11 traffic jam on the way meant I arrived late and just made kick off. Yuk! The early misses were pleasing and frustrating, especially Josh’s open goal after their goalie’s mistake and the ease they had in scoring their first goal brought back bad memories. However, we were far and away the better team in the 2nd half, especially after the substitutions and their 2nd goal was their only real chance after half time. The good thing was that we were slick and moved the ball much better. The things we need to fix are our requirement for another striker, but first and foremost, a ball winning midfielder. We lost ground in the middle and gave Blackburn too much space by backing off when they moved forward. They on the other hand tackled hard with belief and closed us down well before their penalty area, something we somewhat lacked yesterday and most of last season. So I too am positive. Use the Sara/Idah spare cash on a couple of players, sit tighter on the opposition when they are in possession, start the promising youngsters and I think we could have a season of real entertainment as well as a crack at a top 6 place in the league.
Just watched John Eutace post match interview, he seems to think we were the better team in the first half. I thought Norwich could have been easily 4-1 up. Glad we got you so early in the season, because once your forwards get their eye in, someone is going to get spanked. I think weve found our replacement for Sammi, keep an eye on Ohashi, particularly if you like a bet...proper find. Good luck for the season
Well done Jack .A very honest uplifting presentation . I am excited at all what's going on with Norwich City .Only concern I have is Aboh.He deserves a number and needs to be included in the First Team. He is a natural talent and should be learning in the Championship not loaned out .
I trust JHTs analysis tbf. He looked too weak at Northampton, and if he doesn't get a chance after his ridiculous U21 game there's a reason. If he gets his chance now then it's on Aboh to not be dropped. It's also important to give players the time to develop, JHT will have a very close eye and a plan
Really rate the new manager, he makes proactive substitutions, seems to have a plan and won’t just play someone based on their reputation. This likely won’t be our year. But if we do some more business this window, buy in some more players, we’ll be in a very strong position going forward.
Two left footers make no sense. Duffy was solid, Doyle is a great option across the left side with Cordoba Hanley and Chrisene, Duffy and Hills on the right side.
@@woodmanop639 mental thing to say, first goal you could put a bit of blame of Duffy but more Stacey making a fluff of his tackle. Second goal 100% on Doyle not closing the cross down quick enough.
Why would you start two left-footed centre-backs? And play one out of position? Hills or Warner alongside Cordoba for me. And Doyle at LB. Hanely and Duffy simply don't have the pace or technical ability to play in this system. Also, they make too many individual errors.

We need to build from the back,our defence has been awful for to long, saying he wants to play attacking football,to do that you kneed to know how to defend,ESPECILLY set pieces, saturday Blackburn could be really embarrising
He is trying to force a move so either you give it to him, get some cash and move on or you end up with a really unhappy player in the camp, that will impact other players, whom you can’t get rid of until January.
as an American and someone who's regularly watched MLS a move back to the States would be a major downgrade and disservice to Josh Sargent for any amount of money. I also don't think Josh would want to leave he seems very happy at the club.

I’d be more concerned with an EPL team buying Sargent…MLS a much better product today than it was 5-10 years back…I think Sargent is the most undervalued player on the USMNT…If Norwich got $30 million transfer for him, I’d have to wonder what they would do in his absence??..Selling everyone isn’t always the solution I say….Anyone?… Is it just me?

I wouldn’t say that Sargent is our ‘best player’ as you did Jack. But because he is a consistent striker and easily our first choice striker, he has an air of irreplaceability. He’s becoming a good goalscorer too and those are hard to come by. I don’t think we really can afford to sell him now having lost Sara, Idah and likely Rowe.
