I am a doctor. It is extremely rare for doctors to legitimately make so much money that they can live the type of lifestyle being described in this video. That should always raise a red flag. Doctors are well paid and certainly surgical subspecialist do quite well. But there’s a very big difference between being well into the upper middle class without financial worries and living like Elon Musk experiencing some sort of manic episode. It should raise red flags. Most often when doctors are living like this, they are deep in debt at about to hit the financial wall. But occasionally they’re involved in a criminal enterprises.
Yes. This. I'm married to a doctor and so far put 3 kids through college debt free, one more to go. We have had some debt at times, especially when younger and raising kids. We know a doctor here who boasts his expensive collection of mega fancy cars on RU-vid, has various clinics, a mansion...my husband and I always joke around that he's gotta be into some shady stuff. I chuckled at Elon Musk on a manic episode. 😅
@mimax4498 true. MD make good living live a comfortable life. Surgeons are rich above comfortable living. This nose EX was rich with two practices. But an idiot one.
@@holidayarmadillo8653 My opinion of economic classes in America. Lower Class - takes the bus does not own a car. Middle Class - owns one to several cars, takes a plane on vacation or travel. Upper Middle Class - owns on to several cars, one to several houses, takes a plane on vacation or travel, usually flies first class. Wealthy - doesn't know how many cars/houses they own, owns at least one jet plane flown by dedicated pilot.
My dad saw this doctor! He went once and knew something was off and never came back. He tried to do an invasive surgery the same day as the initial consult and my dad refused.
That's what you picked out? Showing people fake x-rays, making them think they have cancer then performing permanent surgery while stealing their money seems a little worse.
How to make $3M a year as a doctor: perform insurance fraud. It never ceases to amaze me how people who would otherwise have a comfortable stable life into a proverbial dumpster fire. If you look at attorney general press releases there are a surprising number of health care professions who get serious time all because of greed and a sense of entitlement.
@@aceshigh5157 They make it because they earn it. They worked for it. Weinberger crashed and burned because he wanted more than he earned. Ever see the stats on lottery winners and how so many blow it all? They're not doctors. They didn't earn it. It's the human condition.
Agreed. Whatever about the fraud, he was performing operations on people not because it was best for them or what they needed but just so he could get money. Surely that's assault.
Absolutely. If I remember this case correctly, he did **hundreds** of unnecessary surgeries in addition to the financial fraud. This sentence is inconceivable.
...and Viagra. "He was prepared to offer a stiff response, and handle any hard times that arose. His resolve was firm and unbending." - Dr Grande Quote of the day! 🤣🥰🤩
Talk about grounds for desertion. Thousands of miles away from home with no money & having to declare bankruptcy when you do make it home. At least no kids were involved.
@@KellyHill-gg9xr a guy who committed fraud, put innocent people's lives in danger for profit, and abandoned his wife by slinking off into the night like a coward...yeah, he's real winner.
my dearly departed FIL (was internist MD in San Diego) once said, when a dr suggests surgery get a second opinion, as according to him, he knew colleagues that needed to make the Porsche payment on time
@@edelweiss2.076 ha, surgeon would; main point stands, if someone wants to knife you, get second opinion as could be a less evasive remedy out there * he also stated years ago, even if minor cut from as simple as a rose thorn, treat it. Unfortunately just 3wks ago my sister's friend passed away from sepsis that began with simple skin break; and my husband about 10yrs ago had a blister on foot that broke, next day was hurtful to walk, called my FIL who said get to hospital now, it was actually blood poisoning (red line heading from injury up to groin was the other giveaway something was wrong)
Especially as a Greek Italian 🇬🇷 🇮🇹 lady, I am really touched by this case, and I love the Greek reference with the _Sinus up_ by the way, as well as your speculation analysis, dear Dr. G. Especially the _nose comment_ at the ending of this video... I can't. 😂 Greetings from Europe to y'all from the States❣️💖
Dr Grande how are you doing this?! The flow of these videos, the information, the analysis, the insight are all insanely well put together. Each video is like a tiny story book (if only the stories were fictitious… 😅). (This is me doing my bit by putting my opinions and thoughts in the comments section in hopes of generating an interesting dialogue. Thanks for reading.)

I appreciate that when describing personality characteristics, you end with "and had a sense of entitlement". It explains so much in the context of these story's, and I've reflected on how a sense of entitlement can blind someone to the perception of others. I feel I do a better job at understanding certain entitled people I deal with in Sales because of this too. If someone is entitled it's pervasive, it comes out of them when they look bad for doing it, and some even demonstrate shame for lying to you but will still do it again the next day!
I Love watching True Crime Docs & Dr Grande is my go to guy. It's short but with the necessary background info for every case. Dr Grande your humor cracks me up & brightens my day!
He probably watched too much corn, and developed freaky interests due to that. During the time he was still living the facade of a prominent successful doctor, he had what he thought was the requisite trophy wife on his arm- petite, pretty, young, well educated, very feminine... Then once he was living on the lam he didn't have a reputation or public image to uphold anymore, so he felt free to choose a partner more in line with his secret freaky inclinations.🍆😬 He was also probably just taking what he could get. A surgeon living in a multi million dollar condo has a wider pool of dating options than a fugitive living in the woods.🤷
Personality variations are hard to comprehend especially the impact that parents have on children or at least the interpretation by the child. Did his mother really favor his brother or did Mark just perceive this? GOD must be amazed at humanity/. We are all a little crazy, me thinks, some people are just better at hiding their fruit loops!😂😂😂Follow your nose wherever it goes😮😮😮😅❤
You definitely outdid yourself in this presentation, Dr Grande. My ear, nose, and throat doctor just retired, however, I don’t think I will switch to the doctor in this story. He sounds too nosy for me.
His face - here in Poland we say - 20 years, no parole 😂😂😂just for the face. Actually we use less polite wording for face, I just don’t know English equivalent 😂
