The last opening is from the last digimon anime that is still in broadcast, it is a completely 'new' story with the adventure characters (they are not themselves, this takes place in another universe) and well ... I loved the first 9 episodes, it should be noted that the villains are not the same here and the plot has a different direction, it has very well animated moments by the way and they present new digimon never seen in the anime. Honestly, I don't know whether to recommend it or not because it usually has certain inconsistencies and as you can see in the opening, Taichi mostly takes the longest time on the screen.

The 2020 reboot is actually amazing. I was mad that they decided to milk the original series once again after Tri, but it is actually great, potentially better than the original. However, it has a different setting, taking place in 2020 rather than the late 90s. Appli Monsters is controversial, as it tried to feed off the success of Yo-Kai Watch, making it a rather blatant ripoff, and the digimon aren't really digimon but are technically at the same time. They are, as the title suggests, Applimon, creatures residing within smartphones. Also, Tri is a sequel to the original that is a full, movie-length episode series. Currently, there is a supposed "leak" revealing that they are making an all new series once the reboot ends this fall. Digimon has finally gotten popularity back after nearly dying during the Fusion(Xros Wars) series, which is personally what I grew up with alongside watching the reruns of the original 2 series, Adventure and Adventure 02. Also, Tamers is considered the best series by a ton of fans, even surpassing the original series. I never got near finishing it, but it's on Netflix, I think, if you wanna watch it.

Also! You would love this! In Digimon Adventure do you remember that only Taichi and Yamato (Matt) got their digimons to evolve all the way to the Ultimate/Mega Level? You know WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon and they even fuse in Omegamon / Omnimon? Well! In Digimon Adventure TRI and Digimon Adventure: (2020), a main highlight is that we'll see all of the kids' digimons evolving all the way to Ultimate / Mega! That's right! You'll finally see the final evolutions of: Piyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon and Tailmon in these series! At last!

The sad part is, the last good season digimon had was the first season of Xros Wars, the rest was really, REALLY bad, about the adventure reboot is hard to tell because it's not finished but it got good moments and bad ones. What makes me sad is Appli Monsters because the concept was really good and it feels like a natural progression of the Digimon but it was a failure. Anyway, my favorite seasons are Tamers and Savers 😬 you should do a reaction to the evolution sequences or themes. They're really good!

Digimon Adventure TRI is a Squele Digimon Adventure 2020 is a Reboot.

Don't get too excited about Digimon Adventure Tri. It was... A mixed bag to say the least. The director and writer weren't very familiar with the series and honestly I don't think they knew what they wanted to do with Tri (which is 6 movies, the episodes are just the dumb way Crunchyroll localized it, chopping up the movies and ruining their pacing). Lots of stuff go unexplained, some things are very forced. I still had a decent time with it but fuck, there are waaaay too many issues to count. And it ends with a sequel hook they knew damn well was never getting followed up because fan reception (especially in Japan) was very negative. There's things to like about it for sure and probably a casual fan looking for some nostalgia will have less issue with it than more hardcore fans (also binge-watching instead of waiting months/years between disappointing movies). Fortunately there is Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna which is a movie done by a different staff that takes place years after Tri and doesn't really require any knowledge from it. And it's much better in every way as a follow-up to the original Adventure and 02. Digimon Adventure: (yes, the : is a part of the name) is basically a new series with an Adventure coat of paint honestly. Which was the goal. At this point half the Adventure staff is either retired or dead and the team doing this new series didn't want to rehash it, just take the core concepts and characters and rework them into a new story and setting for a new generation. Which isn't unusual for franchises that get to be 20 years or older. It's not as well written as the original Adventure, character arcs are much simpler, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. The people I see hating on the reboot the most are the ones that expected a faithful remake (which was never the series intention) or are holding the new series against the whole weight of their childhood nostalgia version of Adventure instead of the actual 1999 Digimon Adventure which is a very good series but that also had flaws.
