Unlike Starlight, Wander learned to accept that life is not a fairy tale and does not go the way you plan. He's a reflection of what Brad could've been if he had ideally let go of his expectations.
Peach: What a wonderful day! Dry Bowser: (Lord Hater's voice) WRONG! Dry Bone: This planet is now under the control of Drrrrrrrrrry Bowser! Rosalina: Why Dry Bowser's sound like Lord hater!? Peach: I do not have no idea! Mario: it is Wander Over Yonder or what? Toad: Dry Bones instead Watchdogs!
Brad Starlight is literally the class-example of a fedora-clad "nice guy" who thinks he deserves the girl when he's actually a huge jerk. It's really cool to see that in a kid's cartoon.
@@Reapermaskhybrid SERIOUSLY?! WELL THAT'S FAN-FREACKING-TASTIC! So sorry to hear that 😞 😢 😔 😕 to be frank I have a name which is something similar though I'm being honest I WISH WE BOTH HAVE DIFFERENT NAMES!!!
This show had some great messages for kids everywhere. 1. Women don't always need saving. They *can* save themselves. 2. Traditionally attractive looks don't make a character 'good'. 3. Traditionally unattractive looks don't make a character 'evil'. 4. It's what's inside that matters. 5. And sometimes the insides don't match the outside. 6. Don't trust people based on only their side of the story. Check both sides first. 7. Not everything is black and white. Grey exists.
+Mistress Of The Void Yep, I like that later on they introduced Lord Dominator and made a girl the ultimate evil (at least compared to Hater) but Dominator is still super energetic, funny and awesome :) Also, is that Rose Quartz as your avatar? If so, awesome!
Mistress Of The Void I love the design and voice of Rose, her hair is awesome and huge! Kind of perfect considering Greg had huge hair too (despite being half her height :P) I really want Steven Universe to come back, this constant hiatus crap with good cartoons while shows like Uncle Grandpa and Clarence constantly get new episodes is annoying. Not sure if you saw the preview/leaked footage (if not, spoilers ahead) but Lapis is joining the gems, sort of
I like the unique twist on the archetypical knight in shining armor story. Not only does said knight turn out to be an egotistical, entitled jerk, but the supposed monster is actually a genuinely nice guy who the princess wants to marry. Glad to see the writers putting effort into making their stories interesting and original!
@@fictiontheorizer1991 CORRECTION: they both look Draconic and that they both have their own personal issues in their own lives that quintessential involve mainly one individual that may or may not be the right ones for them unless they both were to work through together
***** I think his point is a nintendo Princess being rescued all the time by a man. At times she can kick butt, in fact she even had her own ds game when she needed to save Mario, Super Princess Peach.
***** sorry for the call you "he" but yeah she's awesome. Other game character I like is Amy Rose. If anything those two can prove that pink can be a dangerous cloak to all enemies and can never be underestimated.
Yeah, it actually does it better than Frozen does, mostly because it actually teaches what it wants to teach (Frozen, on the other hand, has our main character fall in love with another guy, despite the film wanting to teach that you don't need a man to be complete).
That's true Digital fairy, I'm completely relieved Demurra is down to earth, was strong enough to defeat Bradley all by herself, and is in no way superficial especially towards King Drakor. I also love the fact that she's voiced by Jennifer Hale who's one of my absolute favorite voice actresses! Thank heaven she has a practical outlook on life it's wonderful that she gets to marry Drakor and isn't the least bit repulsed or terrified by his appearance. I can already tell that King Drakor and Princess Demurra are deeply in love with one another and I hope they really do live happily ever after like Wander said! This was one of the best episodes of Wander Over Yonder yet and I hope they're will be even more amazing, fun, and hilarious episodes in the near future, anyway here's hoping!
Demurra and Drakor remind me of Shrek and Fionna. Yet another "Fairytale Couple" people never thought would happen. About what she said, regarding life not being a fairytale. While it's true that life doesn't work exactly like a fairy tale, we can help shape it. For example, guys like me can behave kindly and chivalrously like knights. If we choose to do so
At least this episode have taught us something. Beauty is skin deep and looks aren't always everything. Also, don't judge a person or a character by what they look like. What if the good-looking person turns out to be a jerk?
I'm pretty sure the Grimm brothers and Hans Christian Anderson were the inventors of fairytales. Disney just brought them to the silver screen. As well as other folk tales like Mulan from Chinese legend and Aladdin from the middle-eastern folktale. They did put their own spin on it though. Edit: I forgot to mention Victor Hugo and William Shakespeare, and all the other European and Asian artists
@@Park-jf1wcyeah thats a big part about the princess, how she's supposed to be a person not just a prize. Well beuaty and the beast had that aswell just the body positivity, since its based on something they couldn't really control was a big deal. So the comment is right a beauty and the beast scenario.
Gravity Falls, Star Wars Rebels, Wander, Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, the Mickey Mouse shorts. Disney has been kicking ass lately. Now if they can only fix their Marvel animated stuff.
+Lew Archer 1949 And get rid of *shudders* Pickle and Peanut. and maybe stop shoving good shows over to Disney XD for crappy tween shows. Seriously after Gravity Falls ended they replaced its only time slot with I think Goodluck Charlie!
I'm starting to ship them. This couple is extremely underrated, even though they are canon/official. There's just something about them that makes them cute together.
i love Demurra for being a grounded and sensible person but, c'mon how can you tell someone that life isn't a fairy tale when you're the space equivalent of a Disney princess? THERE ARE EVEN WOODLAND ANIMALS FLANKING YOU AT EVERY TURN.
That's kinda the point, you can wear a lot of pink, have long hair and have those disney animals and still kick ass, strenght is more a matter of psychology, not the way you look :)
Reminds of the anime The Sacrificial Princess and The King of the Beasts. It's one of the best animes I ever watched and it's a romance between a human girl and a huge beastman who's very kind and gentle! It has 24 episodes.
It's like a better version of Beauty and the Beast. Not that the story wasn't good, but I like seeing the beast stay a beast. Really gets the message across better
You should watch the anime The Sacrificial Princess and The King of the Beasts then! It's one of the best animes I ever watched and it's a romance between a human girl and a huge beastman who's very kind and gentle! It has 24 episodes.
jack chan That just made me think of something. Maybe in the movie Wreck-It Ralph, in Mario's game I think that Peach and Bowser could be secret lovers as she wasn't interested in Mario cause he's a self centered jerk cause he's the star of his game.
Why can't every relationship be like Demura and Drakor's? Open, understanding, wise, loving and strong? Instead, I keep reading news story on this girl cheating on this guy or this guy having intercourse with a girl half his age. I know like Demura says real relationship take a lot of work. But why doesn't many people make that effort anymore
***** That's true, Drakor and Demura even said so themselves. Real relationship take a lot of work. However if said couple listens, communicates well and is sensitive to the other's needs; they can be great
2:46 This is GREAT!!! This is a GREAT COPY Since Beauty And The Beast from 1991, This will be even greater Fairy Tale than Any fairy tale ever existed in this planet.
+Jayman493 Wow, I am sad now. I thought about it and find that would be great, not like the old series great but at the very least it would be so much better that what that abomination we have is now and now I'm sad.
Jayman493 Yeah but they were supposed to be heroes. Yet none of them except maybe Starfire in TeenTitansGo is even barely consider as morally sound much less heroes.
Yeah, as much as I hate the show, it gets hate for wrong reasons. It shouldn't be hated because it's what cartoon network replaced Young Justice with, or that it's not serious like the original, or the obnoxious commercials saying it's "EVERYONE'S" new favorite show. Can you be upset about those things? Sure, but there not the faults of the show itself. It should be hated because it's unfunny, annoying, spreads bad messages to kids, and shows no respect for the intelligence of the viewers.
Dakota Nelson Thank You! Speaking of Young Justice, Netflix has expressed interest in picking it up for another season due to the enormous views on its website.
Can we just talk about how ironic it is that the same woman who voiced Demura voiced Cinderella in the Cinderella sequels and Sofia the First? I recognized the voice
I can't believe that she is voiced by Jennifer Hale! I thought I knew her voice, but I thought it sounds more like Liara (Mass Effect)...and not Fem!Shep D: What great voice acting.
Kim Willbee It's more of a" feeling sorry for you" kind of apology rather than a "I think it's my fault" kind of apology. Kind of like "Sorry to hear about what happened to your cat" rather than "I am directly responsible for what happened to your cat and I'm so sorry"
