Janitors don't get enough respect. Even back when I hated everything else about school, the janitors were always a bright spot in my day. They were much like this man, kind, caring and proud of the work they did. They were dignified gentleman in a position too few see as having dignity.

Everyone who has cleaned their own home-especially after kids-knows how hard this man works! And he does it with love and panache! What a wonderful person-how lucky this school is to have him.

My kids adore this man! He’s is truly one of the sweetest people ever.

I know how hard it is being a custodian. I've been a custodian for 6 years, but ai have no idea what his situation is like. Prayers up fellow custodian stay strong

Back in college I worked in a lab. And while I worked there we had two custodians... The first guy was a jerk and criminal (he was discovered stealing from soda donation jar)... The first guy moved on for some reason... The second guy was an outstanding and good man! He was not the smartest person around from perspective (but walking around a building with nuclear engineers, that would be true for most people)... But he was a genius in comparison to the rest of us when it came to cleaning... The real reason he was a good custodian, he cared about doing a good job and keeping the building clean! After that, I have always held a lot more respect for a good custodian...

I love how this doesn't have ANY dislikes so far. Seems everyone (I'm no exception here) remembers that one janitor who, without being a certified teacher, still managed to teach humility, acceptance, and gratitude. Or at least they're inspired by this story.

I really appreciate this guy's attitude. Almost all of the school janitors I've encountered in my life have acted really grumpy around students. No one can see what's going on in someone's life behind the scenes so it's not my place to judge, but I really appreciate this guy sharing his positivity with others despite the challenges he has faced in life ❤️.

I have a custodian who got cancer, everyone wore superhero capes and watch a video outside of him.

I was in elementary school in the late 60s/early 70s; I still remember the school janitor - Mr. Johnson. He was a lot like Mr. E. Hats off to school custodians everywhere!

The custodian at my elementary school was just like that. Incredible, sweet, hard-working man. He still worls at my elementary school 21 years later. Shoutout to Mr. Lindsey!

That was AWESOME!!!! What a gentle soul! No doubt every time he smiles or acknowledges a child at school in any way, he makes them feel special. That IS a super power!

I taught at one elementary school where the kids would come back from the middle school just to see Mr Bill, the custodian. I teach high school now and I don't know what we'd do without Ms Simonton and her AMAZING custodial crew.

Growing around the school system, my parents were teachers and one became a principal and me knowing all the staff including the custodians. I loved learning their secrets to cleaning and even helping out. Schools couldn't function without them. Very grateful for them and all they do.

We used to have church in an elementary school building and Mr. Jones was the school custodian. He was always smiling and telling jokes, he was one of the kindest people I have ever met. I will never forget him.

Custodians needs more inspiration and respect. My mother was custodian. It's very hard work. I helped her at nights and summer. Students respected her. How heartless do you have to be to dislike what this man has done? He brightens everyone's day, and has job that most people feel they are too good for and he is proud to be able to provide for his family and the love of the kids show, he is a good man.

I owned a large cleaning service 30 YEARS and one thing i know for real is that GOD LOVES JANITORS MORE THEN OTHER PEOPLE ON THE EARTH .They are more important then the Presidents of the companies they clean for.....in fact they are there for more then cleaning they are Gods angels because when the Presidents are fired at night they call the Janitors in thier office and cry on thier shoulders they hear the pain of others and help them with Gods word........ but people laugh at them and put them down and some aholes wont even speak to them .....I TELL YOU THIS GOD LOOKS OVER THEM AND YOU SHOULD RESPECT THEM OVER EVERYONE YOU KNOW AT WORK...I LOVE JANITORS BECAUSE THEY CLEAN MORE THEN EARTHLY DIRT....THEY CLEAN SOULS
