@@kibukaj2956ya know I could say your wrong too but I don't wanna be confidently incorrect so I'm just gonna say that this is just basic knowledge lol
@bahamutzero4903 if it's stronger than the original then wouldn't his point still stand? Now you've got 1 solid bar and only 2 extra strength welds. Saved time and its most likely stronger too since you can put more effort into the side pieces than all of em.
Welders don't do that because it's much easier and faster to do one single 45° cut on each piece , on a saw , accurately, with measurements. And then the other ends of your steel angle don't end up short or long and cost you even more time
Actual curiosity cuz I don’t do this kind of work and it seemed fine to me, but what would be easier to do than something like this to fix the aligning issue?
I have absolutely zero experience in welding, but the welding community on RU-vid shorts is absolutely the best no matter what a person does good or bad somebody always has something to say differently, which is awesome. 😂😂😂 and so funny
@garystinnett8321 Sorry, I do not know how to post in other languages. Lots of website comments have a way to click on a translation link. I do not know how it works. I wish I could help. It would help me sometimes. If there is someone out there that knows how to make translations work, please help us communicate, and thanks so much. May GOD bless you all today.
@@garystinnett8321Trysqure - это один из самых первых базовых инструментов верстки. никаких измерений, никаких размышлений, просто отметьте свои 45 и двигайтесь дальше.
You didnt have to do all that. Measure the end, mark the same measurement up the length, connect the dots. Alternatively, just measure a 45 degree angle
I've seen it used for shipping spiders inside small diameter stacks. But anything bigger than 3' diameter, we'd use square tubing welded to a blank round.
Fun fact! 45⁰ angles share 2 same lengths to make a 90⁰ angle (which you can see). Next time, simply measure side tip and measure the same at it's length and you'll get your 45⁰ angle cut.

Very nice! Personally I use a small chop saw for ends. I bought it to cut piping and with a few jigs it’s turned out to be a real time saver. Thanks guys 🇺🇸👍
Why bother with cutting all 4? You just need to cut two sides, just gotta keep the material thickness in mind, but the gap makes for a great trough for the weld to go into
That equal distant way he has makes for a longer vid, more people figure what other stupid ways he cuts metal. Most importantly is he gonna weld ever correctly
@@fev3rd I think you are correct. It's not about teaching anything properly anymore, but how to maximize views and engagement. A good reputation doesn't even matter anymore.
А почему нельзя взять один целый уголок или хотя бы его сварить и остальные два по ьокам просто подогнать и приварить?. Чем все к подгонять. И я уверен что жто не так идеально булет слелать как на видео.
The measuring wasn't necessary. Put a Tri-Square on there and draw the 45 degree angle from the end. It's wrought iron, you can probably just eyeball it.
@@philthycox2515You are right, it's not a 45, but you can still just draw the correct angle from the point, you don't have to measure all that. If he is making more than one, he could make a shop aid template. My bad though, it is Mild Steel.

These comments prove that welders are some of the most insulting people ever. Even if you do the perfect weld, they’d still say “meh, I could do better” with no constructive criticism.
@@kingtiger3390 If you know anything about anything, you’d know that I am joking about the stereotype of “welders always insulting others’ welds”. I wasn’t even talking about this short anymore, I was just making a general joke. You took this way too personally and it’s telling of your chronic internet addiction
How about just cutting the edges to the angle of the piece divided by 2? This is a 90 degree angle piece, cut the edges at 45 degrees and be done! The trick is discovering something called GEOMETRY!
