The use of a throwball is a beginning of most rope based tree climbing exercises. Saddle Hunters will typically leave a length of paracord in the tree, allowing easy access to the canopy in future trips, so as to minimize use of the throwball. This video demonstrates how to deal with the situation whereby the climber had inadequate paracord to rig the tree, typically due to an unexpectedly high tree or simply running out of cord, as was the case here, just trying to get one more tree rigged.
