I actually really agree with this, this is one way where misunderstanding the SMs role can really ruin selfmanagement within the team... with that being said, this message is still confusing.... just because the scrum master doesn't need to resolve it, doesn't mean it's not an impediment,an impediment is something that is slowing down or blocking the team full stop.... who resolves it does not determine the definition of what is or isn't a blocker to the team's progress, other than that, love the video and message, thank you!!

I use the word impediment here more specifically only for challenges or blockers outside of the team's control or influence, what they can't resolve themselves. As the Scrum Guide says: "Causing the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress; " - in Scrum Master accountability, it doesn't mean resolving every issue.
