I think the reason why loser, baby is genuinely considered the most liked or favoured song in the track is because it’s all about encouraging you to be yourself; Embrace your flaws and acknowledge you suck sometimes and it brings you peace. It’s something so many people silently LONG for and can relate to
@@SlayWithBrandyif you saw the song before this one in the episode you will understand why this one is how it is. Poison tears you down so Loser Baby can build you back up.
@@-Shel- I hope you enjoy it. I really did. It's really awesome that you're engaging with a show your daughter enjoys and I am sure she appreciates it.
I highly recommend Hazbin Hotel. The Cast is Broadway extra class. Imagine a Disney Movie, placed in Hell, the Princess of hell being the main character and its mature content. 2 songs per Episode and everyone is a Bop!
One of the big reasons it blew up so much and why everyone already knew about it, is because it started as a youtube animation, with the pilot episode a few years ago. So there was a lot of hype around its official release.
Yep, plus while Hazbin was being worked on by Prime, Viv made her same-universe YT series, Helluva Boss, to tide over her fans during the wait. That became a big hit in its own right, which meant that by the time the official show finally premiered, there was a HUGE fanbase just chomping at the bit to see it.
20 times? Wow! I thought I was bad. I speak 7 languages and Amazon shows the show in 5 of those languages, so I've been watching the show over and over again in multiple languages and it's so fun! But 20 times??? I think you beat me, lol
The Hazbin Hotel series was created by Vivziepop, a content creator on RU-vid. She also produced a pilot episode for Hazbin Hotel four years ago, which is available for free on RU-vid. The pilot serves as a great introduction to the show's main characters. Additionally, Vivziepop does not issue copyright strikes against reaction videos related to her channel, ensuring that the Hazbin Hotel pilot remains accessible. However, the Amazon Prime series for Hazbin is under Amazon's jurisdiction, so editing may be required for it.
@@SlayWithBrandy Episode 1 of the Amazon Prime Hazbin Hotel series differs from the Hazbin Hotel Pilot on RU-vid. The Hazbin Hotel Pilot on RU-vid serves as episode 0 of the series, considered soft canon to the show. While some aspects have evolved since its release four years ago, it remains technically canon.
This show is incredible, expecially characters are extremely well written. This song is one of my favourite, it has a lot of non context spoilers, though. You should watch it and react to it
For a bit of context: Angel Dust, the person being down in the video, has been down and out for a long, long time. He developed coping mechanisms and a false persona to deal with the trauma, stress and self-loathing. Part of that was to pretend like the debasing, humiliating work-environment and constant drug abuse were his choice, not something forced on him. Both Husk (the cat with wings looking fella) and others have tried to get through to him, but Angel had gotten used to pushing well-meaning people away. The whole "aw chucks, it ain't so bad, you deserve better" routine is old hat to him and pearls off him like water on a duck. To get through to him, Husk had to shock him out of that well-worn defense mechanism and get him to realize that there are people out there who get it and will work with him to get both him and themselves out of that or a similar situation. It's actually a really clever bit of writing and the song itself comes at a time in the show where the audience really needed a pick-me-up because it had gotten kinda heavy.
"Poison", which played just before this song, is the other best song in the show (in my opinion) and gets extremely dark, especially the music video/the one with the clip of the show. And trust me, "Loser, Baby" was absolutely an obligatory mood lifter in the episode because MAN the whole thing such a hard watch. The show is great, you should watch it regardless of if you make more videos on it or not.
You should check out the show. There are 8 episodes in season one. Imagine a Disney musical placed in hell, but for adults. There are two songs per episode and they are all bops in my opinion, plus the show itself is amazing. Personally, this is my favorite show at the moment. I’ve been waiting for this series since the pilot first dropped and that was a couple years ago. I was kinda nervous when I heard it was being picked up by Amazon and A24, I was worried it wouldn’t have the same charm I fell in love with when watching the pilot, but they did a very very good job. The character and story writing is phenomenal, and the crude humor I fell in love with hasn’t changed. Hazbin Hotel has officially taken over my life and I’m fine with that.
Always fun to see someone discover this series ^^ Just a quick heads-up, the pilot on RU-vid isn't required per se, but it contains a lot of info and really helps flesh out the introduction of the characters so it is a better start compared to Episode 1.
There's quite alot of youtubwr reacting to just the songs I think I seen more son reacting than show reactions but mire often than not after just a few songs they get invested and wanna watch the show
The soundtrack for this series is basically all I've been listening to for weeks 😂 Stayed Gone and Hell's Greatest Dad are probably the next funniest after this one if that'swhat you're interested in? But honestly all of them are total bops. More Than Anything is absolutely beautiful, Poison is simultaneously so catchy and so sad, and Hell Is Forever is a lot of fun. But my personal favorite is probably Out For Love, though it is quite short. I can just put that on repeat and dance to it for ages lol
I hadn't been so much obsessed with songs from a show since Arcane show. The vibes hit way heavier in Hazbin Hotel, the songs are all extra slappy, but my favourites are clearly Loser Baby (for the groovy tone) and More Than Anything, cause it's so different from the rest of the show, but top notch singing in there !
The algorithm brought me here, and this was a fun reaction. I'd definitely watch you reacting to the series, as it's become one of my favourites. Just one thing though, this series is very 'musical theatre'. What that means is that a lot of the story is told through song. What THAT means is that many songs from the series contain either implicit or extremely explicit spoilers for plot points in the series, so I'd be cautious reacting to any songs from the series itself. If you want to stick with songs for now, there are several phenomenal fan-songs about this series, specifically 'Insane' and 'Addict', which I can't recommend enough.
Worth mentioning when it comes to this series, its creator does like reaction videos, so it is entirely safe to react to the pilot of the show (its on youtube already.) and the sister show set in the same universe: Helluva boss (also entirely on youtube) without having to edit or anything. But for the full hazbin hotel show itself, you'd probably need to edit that one to get around the copyright.
Huskerdust! I am a Good Omens addict waiting for Season 3 to start and a lot of the fans recommended this. I watched the prequel and series 1 and I was hooked! Now shipping these two characters SO HARD, and waiting excitedly for Season 2! ❤❤
great music, incredible character design, and crude humor pretty much describes hazbin in a nutshell. reaction vids require a lot of editting to stay monetized though
This song and Ready For This are probably the funniest ones to show people with no context. The music sounds like a Disney musical and then there's one unhinged line after another.
I would love it if you reacted to more of the songs before watching the actual episodes. Something about people getting introduced to this world and characters out of order is very satisfying~
The cat thing is Husk, and he is voiced by Kieth David. The femboi is Angel Dust, and his story is fucked up, which is why they sing together about their respective abusive situations. No spoilers, but I will say, this is a great message. If you feel like you are in a bad situation, join the club, we can relate. :)
Loser, Baby is my favorite, but these two songs you mentioned are fire! Then again, I'm an Alastor simp and demisexual (on the asexual spectrum), so the representation from him is also amazing! These are kinda his two songs, so it makes sense why I'd love them so much, I may have a bit too much bias. 😁
You wont regret watching the show and would be a great reaction. it seems like its up your alley :) - I would recommend starting at the Pilot as it will help with some character introductions before starting with episode 1. and when your done with Season 1 and craving more. there is a youtube series created by the same creator called Helluva Boss ( I adore this show but its crude as all hell ) and it takes place in the same universe and get like some cameos here and there.
You should def react to poison! (preferably the sing along with visuals.. though that might be too graphic so depends on if you don't mind showing that) Its the song right before this one in the same episode and elaborates on angel dust's (the pink spider dude) reason to be sad~
I would love to see full reactions from the show! If you like the crude humor, creative character designs, and surprisingly wholesome vibes, you'll probably like it. I will say that some of the songs contain spoilers. Musical numbers contain plot as well as catchy show tunes, so if you end up watching more music videos, just keep that in mind. If you do end up recording episode reactions, you will probably have to do a lot of editing to avoid copyright.
For songs that don’t have major plot spoilers I would say Happy Day in Hell, Poison, Hell’s Greatest dad, and More than Anything (reprise) are probably the best bets- if you don’t mind major spoilers, they’re all really good. Also season 1 is out, and season 2 is in production.
5:27 Yeah, it's more adult animation like "Invincible" (also on Amazon) or "Castlevaia" and "Cyperpunk: Edgerunners" (on Netflix). All shows I can recommend btw. "Invincible" for instance is a bit similar to "The Boys", in some way.
My husband compared it to a more refined version of Happy Tree Friends with more plot and songs. Probably because of the dark nature of a cartoon that’s actually for adults. 😂
I notice most people aren't mentioning this: I want to be clear that I love the show, but as someone who's been through abuse and religious trauma, I feel this show is healing and therapeutic...my point is no one is giving you warnings and I think it's important to note that this show looks happy, cheery, and funny, but there is a lot of dark content and trigger warning material and I think this really needs to be noted because some people may not be ready to face those sensitivities. I don't know if this will be okay for you because I don't know you, but you seem most excited about the raunchy humor and I don't want you going into this show thinking that it'll always be that way. Although, it is like that most of the time, so you'll still enjoy that. I still highly recommend this show; it's absolutely amazing, I just think you should have a heads-up warning before watching.
It's not the shakespeareian delight some make it out to be. 22 Episodes squeezed into 8 makes it fast moving and little blurry at the edges. But it's funny, entertaining and pleasing to the eyes, with a dash of social criticism and character study. The dense content makes it easy to rewatch to spot the thing one missed. Not the best series ever produced, but worth the time.
Songs i recommend with out to many spoilers. Hell's greatest dad and stayed gone. Hell ia forwvwr qould be a good song that basically lets you know what you are in for if you watch full series
Hello! I was brought here by the algorithm but this was a joy to qatch lol. Some recommendations, definitely watch the pilot before the actual series as its still loosely canon. I also highly recommend Insane by Black Gryph0n, Smile Like You Mean It by Paranoid DJ, the Addict music vid by Vivzipop and Sylvahound, Thank You and Goodnight by the Black Gryph0n and the pilot cast, and then if you want to do another song from the show, then either Poison or Stayed Gone. Just be sure to heed the qarnings as the show does handle some really heavy topics Totally not alone on the cats dont dance bit lol
i would just watch the show.. each ep has 2 songs and they tell a fair bit of the story.. so you will get many spoilers for reacting to them first =.= but each song is fairly good. id be tempted to say watch them in order.. because songs early on can play into songs from later episodes.. but my fav 3 would probably be, "Stayed Gone, Hell's Greatest Dad, You Didn't Know"
I would check out the pilot, here on youtube, first before the whole series. Then there is the sister-series helluva boss which is strictly on youtube. Both take both in the same universe.
I personally would. Right now, Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are huge in terms of popularity and views for content creators. With Helluva Boss, there is no need to worry about copywrite problems!!!
I assume you've caught up on the relationship between the hardass Husk (the "cat with wings") and Angel Dust, but Husk has never liked Angel Dust, and finds him to be crass, annoying and offensive. This is kind of their redemption to each other. Husk is brutally honest, and doesn't lie to Angel Dust about how screwed up he is, but Husk makes it clear that he knows he is just as screwed up. This is inspiring, and a clear message to all of us. We're all in the same shit sandwich, so lets help each other, and maybe we can get through it.
You have been infected. You are looking forward to a Helluva adventure (pun intended) i can see! You will get lost in this universe. And the fandom is welcoming you!
Trauma. That’s what you watched. lol. Therapist have been doing deep dives on the characters of this show because each one has a different vice, trauma or psycho attached to them. It definitely has a character for each type of person that you can feel attached to like they represent you. It’s a very fun show to watch.
I would like to see ur reactions if u start it... Just don't cut too much, even coz the copyright... just, idk... Try to put it full like some other react channels i saw, if they put it full u can too
Just make the show stream transparent and slightly shaded and you should be square, alot of other reactors do that, some going extra by throwing For Copyright over it too, like we dont know the shading and transparency of the show isnt for copyright purposes.
@@SlayWithBrandy no problem, just check around, some will play without the shading and transparency but will cut up the video to drop personal observations and thoughts on the matter or characters atm, theres alot of ways to go about it :)
The music is a huge part of the story telling, so if you plan on reacting to the whole show I wouldn't watch the songs first. Lots of spoilers and missing context.
Theres this awful toxicity in "Sanitized" self-help motivational advices/messages that you often see in social media and such. The vibe you get is akin to something like a "rich person giving money to the poor without teaching them how to use it properly." its like those kinds of advices/consolations that dont stand in the same ground to the people its targeting. BUT THIS SONG. It STANDS WITH THE PEOPLE, its not scrap coming from above to the people below who are struggling. Its a heartful message coming from the heart standing at the same ground with others that genuinely empathizes. Trying to lift the other up despite themselves standing on the same hardships which would create this beautiful mutual altruism that lifts each other together.
Just a small warning if you do decide to watch the show, episode 4, which is where this song is from, is very rough as it deals with toxic, abusive relationships.
1) the entire first season is out, episodes 1 to 8. Start with the Pilot, which is available on Vivziepop's RU-vid page (from 2019, but it segues directly into the first episode, as in there are only something like six hours since the Pilot goes right into the show, although with different voice actors.) 2) It's really surprisingly wholesome. I think you'll enjoy it!
@@Adrian-kb4rg Yep 5 days l though the premise and some of the information is still...I consider it "canon enough, but it's technically not allowed to be" iirc
If you want a bit of the context behind this song you should check out poison it’s from the same episode as this one. Just be prepared it deals with some heavy topics. So much so there is just a lyric video that prime put out for it because the actual show one is well very adult.
The cat's name is husker and the spider boy's name is Angel dust. I am absolutely obsessed with this show I highly recommend that you start with a pilot. Now for anybody that says the pilot isn't much it's one of those it still sets up the story Vivziepop says that it's a soft Canon. It still sets up the story Yes there's a difference in the cast but pay it no mind it's superfluous. Let me put it to you like this The pilot is the best of RU-vid of 2017 through 2019, the series that's Broadway, and legendary actors and singers. The cast for both is equally good. Also in the pilot watch to the end of the credits. Trust me If you like this song you're going to love this series and you're going to love it side series. That one is called Helluva Boss! Enjoy the show I always do. However I say this Never forget the forest for the trees, that means understand the setting is hell most of the people there are there for a reason Never forget the setting and the location You cannot interject laws and what's right. They are there because they are not right They are there because they did things. So just keep that in mind.
