That’s up to billing at that point from his office and medicaid trust me they’d take the money back if she calls them. She could also file a formal complaint on his office with Medicaid and switch dentist. Not all is lost but she has to be honest to begin with.

No- they approved it. Medicaid approving something does not mean they paid for it yet.

I went to a charity dentist once.. He ended up giving me 5 jabs of novocaine...his tooth puller thingy was dull..he said..kept barking and bit(en at his hygienist.. blaming her for his crappy tools. I ended up in emergency with an infection.

Maybe get a job with insurance?

I'm so sorry you had to go through that. The problem is a lot of dentists don't accept Medicaid. Sometimes you have no choice but to see dentists you may not ordinarily want to see. My kids and I have a dentist and I want to switch but we don't have many dentists in our area that accept our insurance. I needed to have a tooth out and I couldn't get numb. He kept injecting me, left me waiting for close to an hour and finally used a last chance drug. The drug made my throat and tongue go numb. I couldn't swallow. I was upset and finally said I wanted to go home. Then he was getting mad at me because he couldn't understand what I was saying. I could barely talk. I went home and was finally able to swallow after about an hour but I was terrified and he just brushed off my pain and concerns.

He did nothing wrong ?? but he didn’t give her the right sized dentures and ended up breaking them….

@@TheLoveLeeChanel exactly. He had records to show that she had been there 3 times for the fitting. There was a question wether or not he was a licensed dentist so that really should have been addressed. In a real courtroom it would have been.

I think you’re a little ridiculous! It doesn’t matter if Medicaid paid for the dentures or not. They didn’t fit…. Hence the reason she came back 3 times!

That is why so many people have such a hard time explaining whst happened. So many of them are all over the place, cant answer thec questions.

The judge should have asked him if he was fully “licensed” & maybe ask to see his credentials!! These judges never asks the right questions! 😂

She didn't ask him that because he couldn't be paid by Medicaid if he wasn't properly licensed.

Medicaid doesn't pay if they aren't an in network licensed provider. If you go to an out of network provider you're on your own, they will not pay.

I just want to ask have you looked at the price for dentures? Medicaid pays a certain amount…..not the whole amount. She could have been mistaken and the money paid was for the initial work done. I ABSOLUTELY believe that when she asked to have money returned, he asked if she had receipt. That has happened to me on a few occasions. Although, I keep my receipts together for several yrs just in case.

Yesterday I watched a JJ episode, the young lady was continuing to mispronouncing two words, one of them was "dispatcher ", even after she heard the word correctly from the judge. All the commentators were talking about that "Dis batcher".

I kind of believe her too. She didn't present too well here, but I believe she gave him some money and lost the receipt(s). I also believe that his wife was helping out even though it appears she's unlicensed.

I work for Medicaid and believe me there is no way he would get paid by Medicaid if he wasn’t a legitimate dentist. The hoops that practitioners have to jump through to be able to accept Medicare and Medicaid is crazy. If he he taking money in the side that is illegal but I believe he is licensed.

I don't believe her one bit. Not only do I work with medicaid, my kids and I have been on it for years. She would not have paid out of pocket first only to be reimbursed later, further more medicaid would not have paid him if he wasn't in network with them and lastly even if medicaid paid less than his billed amount the payment they would have sent would have covered the entire cost of the dentures at his contractual rate because that's how insurance works, the provider signs a contract with the insurance saying I will accept "x" rate for my services and nothing more meaning they cannot bill the patient for any remaining balance after payment from the insurance (unless the patient is on regular private insurance and hasn't met their deductible or out of pocket which are things that don't affect medicaid recipients) so no I do not believe she gave him anything after the cost for the crowns and she's trying to get her dentures paid for twice, once by medicaid and once by him, and she's a liar!

My orthodontist is a doctor in her country, she works as an "assistant" at my dental office, but she is fully qualified, she just can't call herself a doctor in the US, but I have absolutely straight beautiful teeth now!

True, but why would the lady stupidly keep returning to him again & again if he wasn’t even licensed?? Pretty sure it’s illegal to practice Dentistry without a license! (Or else anyone could do it right?) anywhere in the U.S., but maybe it’s different in other countries?? I don’t know! 😂

I have 5 open cases right now against doctors who are licensed in their country and not here but we're able to buy a building, put medical stuff inside and open as a medical practice. We do not look to see that people are licensed before we go to them for medical care.

Adjustments would have been part of the payment from medicaid, she's lying, she's trying to con him out of money she never paid!

I think her point was that if you were so embarrassed that you couldn't sit in front of your family, why would you come on national TV? If it was so essential for her to have her teeth fixed then why hasn't she gotten it done since leaving his office? They don't get paid much to come onto the show. I believe it's like $250. That being said she can't come into court and then try and sue for over 1,000 with absolutely no proof. Besides, she was lying from the very beginning
