The fact that the mothers said, “Oh please!” when the judge said they both need counseling is telling

When you don't get the love you needed from your parents, you will desperately try to fill that void all of your life.

This Plantiff is a mess. She coming in acting all innocent when she's crazy as heck herself.

Sad case. Judge was right - daughter, boyfriend and baby would have been better in a homeless shelter. When you have to videotape your roommates (or mother's) erratic behavior, that's a sign to get out ASAP.

Plaintiff reminds me of one of those parents that does things for you so they can control you/ make you miserable.

After the daughter tells us that her mother went ballistic after she had done a wash of baby clothes, the mother smiles smugly, proud of herself. OMG what sort of mother would do that to her daughter and grandchild? The defendant needs to get away from her toxic mother and NEVER look back...

All this for a sum of money that is really small considering everything. I wouldn't go air my family's dirty laundry on national TV for about 1,500$.

I'm the defendant in the case and reading all your comments really got my attention. My 14 year old niece who was sitting in my mothers car during the court case by herself (she was 12 at the time) is the one who showed me this on youtube. My 3 older kids were by the same father. I was with that man from 18 years old until I was 26. My 3 kids with him were taken out of the home due to domestic violence. He would beat me with a belt, as an example of the physical abuse that was in the home. My mother is also the one who called cps on me to have them taken away from me thinking the state would give them to her. "My mother" wasnt allowed to have custody of them because of her significant history with CPS from when my brother and I were younger. My brother is dead that's my nieces father. My mother didnt want me living their rent free. She also refused to watch my newborn baby so I could go to work. Having my boyfriend (mark) move in was the only way to make her happy with weekly money (he has his own spot and couldnt afford 2 rents so he moved in with me there with my mothers approval because she wanted the money) so for those of you who says "dead beat plantiffs" you are very far from the truth. She got her rent every month. Until she robbed my baby's bathtub so I couldnt bathe her daily. To the point I had to call the cops and make a break in report (cops made a comment that they left the big screen TVs and all electronics but took a babies bathtub) she smiled at the cop while signing the report. At that point, rent stopped until I was able to bathe my baby. Then she turned off the electric multiple times. Cops had to get involved and they told her she legally had to leave it on. She decided to go outside, lift the window and smash the ac unit with a hammer..all while mark was at work. I was at the house everyday, he was working 70+ hours a week so we could get our own place. He wasnt around for any of this drama. It was his air condition unit which is why he was on the court papers. That mentally ill woman stole all my shampoo, conditioner, anything she could when I left the room. I put a camera in it and had her filmed robbing my stuff. I then changed the lock to the door and she lost her mind over it and broke the door so it wouldnt even close. She treated my father this way and my brothers this way who are both dead today and she cries her eyes out daily at the way she treated them but treats me worse than she ever treated them. So for everyone saying I keep reproducing and have all these male partners, your wrong. First 3 babies with the same guy - eliana (the baby who was a newborn when this happened) was a different father, yes. Thank God. My mother still begged me to get back together with the first babydaddy even though I was lucky to get out of the relationship alive. 🤯😭

She doesn't love her daughter.

Everyone says the granddaughter should have a relationship with her but I would never let that happen. Too much drama & shes obviously using her other granddaughter. And most importantly how did everyone forget the grandmother stole from the unborn granddaughter. Why the hell would a parent want their child to go threw all that??

I remember this one. I've seen families that are full of constant drama and arguments. I swear these people thrive on it. They CANNOT handle a situation where everything is calm and uneventful. THAT makes these people nervous! A lot of society is what I call "functioning mental cases".

How could you be so miserable as to deny your young granddaughter the necessities of life?

This case has me in my feels. Reminds me of how my mother acted. Father too. In cases like these, family estrangement is a must. My kids don’t have to see and feel what I had to growing up and that’s enough for me.

I just ran across this People's Court episode recently. Grandma was such a horrible human being, and I use the term human being very loosely. I could feel the daughters bitterness through the TV screen. I'm glad you got out of that woman's house. I believe everything that you said. Don't ever ever see that woman again in all of your life. She is evil personified. Here's to a better future for you. May you have peace of mind.

i don't think it would be a good idea to let the baby have a relationship with the grandmother... that would require a relationship between two people that apparently hate each other and that would be traumatic for the child furthermore, i'm not surprised that they didn't pay rent after she threw the AC out the window. family or not landlord is required to make the tenant's space livable. 85-90 degrees is way too hot for an infant to be constantly in. especially an infant who isn't used to that type of temperature. also, she said her daughter and baby could move in for free. why does the boyfriend/father figure need to pay? oh, she's mad her daughter brought her boyfriend to live there too. oh well! either accept that he's there and let him stay free as well or tell them all to leave if u don't want him there. obviously she didn't want him there and her daughter did, so all this could've (maybe) been avoided if one of those two things happened. if u don't want someone in ur house, make them leave, but don't get upset when the person they came with leaves too, especially if they're in a romantic relationship. i may get some hate, but those were just my two cents 🤷🏾‍♀️

The statement about the daughter hoping to get the mother to do something so they could get her kicked out of her home is something I have seen before. I know someone trying to take over their mother's house right now, even down to getting a copy of the deed and the value of the house.

For some people, it's great to visit or stay at mom's home. But, in this situation, I don't blame the daughter for never seeing her mom ever again.

I'm a mother of two daughters... I would NEVER treat my daughter's like this.. Ever. So sad.

Wow! This mom reminds me of my mom. I have not spoken to her in years. When my oldest graduated from high school me trying to fine some way to talk to my mom, I sent her the invitation to my daughters graduation party. My daughter was upset that I did that she said " but she will ruin everything, I dont want her to come". That's saying something if her own granddaughter dose want her to come. I just told her that most likely will not happen. She lives in Florida and we live in Wyoming.

Man I hate watching mothers & daughters go at it like this! Even though these 2 are quite the pair, it makes me appreciate & miss my own momma even more than I already do daily. I’m 31 years old. I grew up as an only child & was lucky enough to have such a bond with my mom because it was just me & her throughout my whole life. It made us connected in a way that very few could ever understand. She was my absolute everything & she loved me so unconditionally no matter the circumstances. Most people say a man is their soul mate, but not me. My mom was definitely my soul mate & I know I’ll never have love like I did with her. It was genuinely pure solely based off of the beautiful person she was. Yes we could bicker like the best of em’ but when it came down to it, we both loved each other more than we even loved ourselves. I loved my mom seriously, and would protect her heart and mind at all costs. Nobody could even look at my mom wrong or else they would see a side of me they really didn’t like. When I was a child she had many struggles with addiction that went hand in hand with her poor mental health. She may have made some poor choices/mistakes, but even through her flaws she still tried to protect me at all costs. If I could still love my mother so wholeheartedly through all of that, most can too. Once I got old enough to understand life & how hard it can be, I made sure I fiercely protected her right back. She just died 2 months ago unexpectedly from brain/lung cancer that we didn’t even know she had until it was far too late. I would give anything to hug my mom and have her here again. Even if I could just speak to her for 5 minutes… She was my rock & ultimate best friend. I’ll spend the rest of my life missing her, wishing I could have her back with me, & wondering what I could have done to save her/give her more time on this earth. She’ll never walk me down the isle & watch me get married nor will she be there with me if I have a child (something she begged me for because her 1 wish was to become a Nonna) I wish people would stop the petty b.s & appreciate their mothers/daughters more because once their gone, that’s it there’s no going back 8 I promise you that you’ll be sorry. Even if your relationship isn’t the best, make amends for the sake of your heart & soul. It doesn’t mean you have to accept all their flaws. It just means you’ll love them anyways just enough to remain thankful that they gave you the gift of life…. Anyways, I miss you so much Mommy. I love you so much. R.I.P😢😭💜

For gosh sake, I didn't earn much and had a house payment, but I've let both of my grown kids live with me for free to get caught up years ago. They grew on to become responsible adults. That mother sucks.

All of this could have been prevented by her and the guy moving out and getting their own apartment. Why doesn't he have a job or enough money to pay for his own rent?😮

This could’ve been handled so much differently. I understand the mother may be “crazy” but the defendant should’ve walked away to try and save their relationship. Especially to do all of this in front the baby. Makes me think the defendant is crazy too. They didn’t even pay her mom rent, how pathetic 😒

This is a very sad case. I think they all need help in many ways. I'm praying for them 🙏🏼.

The defendants committed perjury right up almost until the end. They kept lying that they had paid all of July and when the judge called them out on it for the last time they finally gave in and gave up. They just wanted to get away without paying and were probably hoping that the judge would just let it go if they showed how crazy the mother is.

The mom seemed to have had proper intentions….could be from guilt or whatever, but she enabled the daughters man messes. The daughter is a mess on her own and appears to latch onto a man and seems to clearly expect her mom to accept whatever she wants to do…that’s where the enabling gets ugly, and it sure did. This case was clearly many years ago, but I hope her daughter manages to get herself straightened out because she is teaching her daughter what “normal” is…and it’s not.

I really don't understand where this mother is coming from, that she has such an issue with the new boyfriend. Whatever his problems are they're not being brought out here. But the point story remains is that he's with this girl who has a new baby and he doesn't seem to care that it's not his. He's deciding to step up to the plate and become a father to this child even though he's not the biological father. What is the malfunction with this woman that she has such an issue with somebody wanting to step up to the plate to her grandchild? Why does she have such a resentment towards this man over money when honestly it's going to be taking on the financial responsibility of her grandchild for the rest of her life if he sticks around? That to me makes no sense at all. He honestly does not have to do that, that's a choice that he decided to as he loves the door and has decided to love that child. She should be thankful that he stepped up to the plate. Just like she's thankful to these other foster parents that are taking care of her grandchildren right? He in essence would technically be a foster parent to that infant IF he did not know HIS girlfriend I was with another partner right or wrong? Then all of a sudden he would be a hero who took her child after she called CPS on her right? So how come he would become some kind of a hero IF he had a partner and IF he was some stranger who took that child through CPS from her daughter? BUT he's not a good person in her mind for stepping up and taking care of the child NOW? That to me, is just some very twisted thinking. She has some very high regard for strangers who takes care of her three of the grandchildren. But she has no regard for the one grandchild being taken care of right in front of her eyes by a man that has no obligation legally to step in it all.

Mom is crazy and nasty. The daughter's messed up, trying to find love anywhere she can, and it's probably because of mom.
