She reads the case before hand and so she knew he didn’t pay bills. He had stored cars places with no payment and thought he would get a free tow here. That is why she jumped on him over the prepaid phone. He has a track record of not paying
That's a good point. Most viewers don't understand that Judge Milian goes into the case with more knowledge than it seems. All Judges do that before cases they preside over. 👍
@@RealLifeSnowWhite I can't stand JJ. JJ reads cases AND decides the outcome before the case imo. I've heard JJ say "I don't care about your evidence". Haha Love Marilyn though!
Even his goilfren' is sick ta death of havin' ta push him aroùn' in a giant baby trolley... her car. He's only there litigating because the girlfriend refuses to pick up all hisjiggy big boy bills anymore. Such a big baby who refuse tu
@@MelissaRae1975 this is a compilation video. He’s in the last segment towing a car off a private lot. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yvYtaM7Jlkc.html
II remember that! He is so very nice and with much empathy for everyone and their situation. He represents many tow truck drivers who are so very nice and at times when offenders are wrong and they approach calm and respectful the work with them. I hope this defendant remains such a positive influence to all that he meets. This plantiff has never heard of responsibilities.
I think the reason JM brought up the prepaid issue was because she was trying to establish early on that this specific guy shows a pattern of not paying his bills, which was certainly true as we learned during the case. Where she missed the mark is that prepaid is not an involuntary option. A lot of people with decent to excellent credit _choose_ to use prepaid because it's more affordable and has add-ons that make it more appealing. So right logic, wrong argument.
@@facedownchuck The losers are phone companies that extort way too much money out of people and purposely confuse them with their convoluted contracts… that being said I have sprint.
I will never use anything else! Way cheaper than Verizon and what not!! There's more legit reasons people use prepaid, than for illegal activities 🤦🏼♀️
The plaintiffs own witness confirms to the judge yeah he’s a deadbeat. It seems like the plaintiff buys an old car…it breaks down…gets another old used car… breaks down etc. Probably does not have the funds to pay for repairs or disposal of the old thing and just leaves it at the repair shop. If he can’t pay for a tow then he can’t pay for repairs.
FYI: I have 2 prepaid cells for $55 a month for both. That's a lot cheaper for me. Not everyone wants to pay over $100 a month for 1 cell. So, not true Judge!!
You can get a cell phone for 30-35$ on a month to month and you usually get a free phone from many places. So a prepaid didn't really make to much sense in this day and age when unlimited talk text is pretty cheap
@@naynayjones9166 I am good with the way I pay. What if I can not pay 1 month or 3...It took us 4 months to replace a F-ed up mattress. We also pay $95 a week on gas to go to work. I like prepaid...Thanks!!
The plaintiff is sooooo guilty! I can see that immediately. Gotta love the defendant’s preparation for court! And he said,“ And we drove him home every time!”
this case had so much unintended humor in it. The plaintiff is a schmuck...JM is frustrated with him and the whole tooth thing adds to the ridiculousness. I love it when she says at the end "And I dont want to hear that you dont have a ride" LOL. Also when she says "he handled it the way he handles things" LOL.
Some people are so disorganized, such procrastinators and waste so much time undoing the problems they get into by not just doing what they need to do . Get out of your own way, plaintiff!
There's a team of paralegals that review claims with show producers prior to approval to appear on court tv. The day of court and recording the judge is briefed and typically has a verdict prepared prior to hearing the case. JM changes the pre verdict more often than JJ.
The plaintiff does owe the money for sure. The towing guy was actually decent. I have dealt with some shady towing companies who charge ridiculous amounts and don’t even give notice so they can charge extra for how long they store your vehicle. I wish I had sued them knowing some things now.
The tow guy has also been featured on episodes of the show Parking Wars where he was towing cars who parked in a private lot on behalf of a business who owned the lot. Parking Wars use to be one of my favorite shows!
*”I guess the dentist is going to have to make a fake one”.*. Well, what was the other tooth?? Was it real, and you were actually keeping it in an envelope in your glove compartment thinking that the dentist could reinsert it any old time? 😳
This was the first time I have ever seen Judge Milan be so rude. Just because you have a prepaid phone does not mean that you don't pay your bills. I thought it was a rude and unnecessary comment.
Yeah it’s rude I had a prepaid for years but never paid the bill to the point my mom put me on her plan because she hated me not having a phone. So the judge is right imo, I was guilty.
@@LeolaGlamour liar!!! i'm not paying exorbitant phone bills when prepaid is $7/month. I'm debt free with a 740 fico score. some of us don't waste money on things we do not need and will not use.
Alot of yall want yalls ego stroked to feel good about your situation. JM literally reads over cases and can check backgrounds on litigants before the actual hearing. She knew he had a history of not paying things, that’s where her correlation was going.
She can check backgrounds. But why in a civil case? Who cares. Most judges just go over the case file. So they know the whole complaint. She's not a prosecutor anymore. She's a civil court magistrate.
The Plaintiff was just playing the system and the Judge busted him. Now he is going to plan B and sue the auction company…how bout just be responsible for your actions. SMH
I was laid off on 2014 and went to a TracFone...prepaid mins.... My credit was nearly 800. I really hate that horrible stigma judgmental start from the judge. It's called being responsible so you can pay your OBLIGATIONS instead of simply adding to debt
All I know is that the towing guy walked in with his work outfit on to make it KNOWN he's the guy who towed it lol 😆 Sorry what a attire to wear to court! But we saw him right away with that florescent yellow stripes he proudly wore hahaha 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
The guy in the back with the glasses trying to hold in his laugh during the plaintiff's intro 🤣 I have a prepaid phone and excellent credit. I use to pay 125 a month for my phone bill, now I pay 35 a month.
First of all the nerve of the plaintiff, to come to court, owing money to begin with right out of the gate not to mention his significant other confirms the fact that he’s a deadbeat and doesn’t like to pay or has a history of not paying. And maybe I’m the only one that noticed it but that green shirt was nasty with stains in the front, I mean really, you’re coming to COURT at least put on a clean shirt. 🤢 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
Truly Funny I always enjoy your guest’s on your show and even when I think it’s wrong decision , I always learn more American Law’s State to State thank you for all the information ! God Bless Humanity World Wide
Your credit has nothing to do with purchasing a prepaid phone. Anyone can go to Metro, T-Mobile, etc for a cell phone plan. They don't go by credit. If you don't pay, you're cut off. And you have to prepay for every month, so. . .
You don't seem to understand ... You don't need credit for a prepaid phone, you also don't need ID. This is why most people with prepaid phones are dead beats with a poor credit history or drug dealers.
Woaaaah wait a minute- at the end when Kurt says "so what are you gonna do about that tooth?" The guy says "I don't know I guess the dentist will have to make a fake one" ... is he implying that the one in the car was _real?!!_ Why is your tooth out of your mouth in the first place?!!! The _glove_ _compartment??_ Seriously. I couldn't think of a more inappropriate place for a tooth. Edit: Just thought of this but they should have titled this _"An_ _inconvenient_ _tooth"_ 😂
I find it funny how they make fun of the old cars but if you keep them in shape and do the repairs as needed just like you have to on the new ones. they will last longer than the new one just cause you don't have all that electronic stuff which can be a nightmare when it don't work. I'll take the older ones any day over a new one
I has a prepaid phone for years because it was inexpensive and all I needed. My credit score was in the high 700s and I had no problem refinancing a home mortgage.
I have pretty decent credit and use a prepaid cellular phone service. #1 reason why I use StraightTalk, I can pay for a year service and basically pay the same as an 11-month service. #2 reason why, I have no surprise bills that come up. When I was on contract with 3 phones, I was told that the bill would be no more than $200/month. Keep in mind, I had unlimited talk, text, data. After about three months, my bill rose to $250. When the contract ended, I said NO MORE!
If your car ever gets impounded or towed, go down to the yard immediately and pay the bill because the longer you wait the bigger the bill is going to get. Time is of the essence.
Oh man i had to watch the last 20 seconds of this case twice 😂 “And I don’t want do hear you don’t have a ride!” Haha followed by 😮 from the plaintiff 😂😂😂😂
Just for the record, I don’t like smart phones and hate the 3 phone providers in this country, so yes, i have an old pay and talk flip phone! That made me upset JM. HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL
A good running 1988 Crown Victoria is worth about $500. They make great enduro race cars. I have used them several times and they are tough. Newer Crown Vics are even better. I love to buy early 2000's ex-police Crown Vics. They are super tough. But they sell for a little more assuming they run good.
@@micahbinns2740 You do know they get these from real courts, he had no idea they’d choose him. He paid a real court and would have been out of real money if not for this court picking his case and offering him the chance to be on tv and have it mediated
