sneifert1968 McNair would be a hall of famer had he played for a different head coach. The fact that he was able to win league MVP in Fisher's "3 yards and a cloud of dust" offense is nothing short of incredible.
so damn true. i also blame the Eagles too. They traded Nick when he had huge potential. Fisher killed his career with the Rams and Andy never even utilize him that well wtih the chief. Nick deserves a team that will treat him better than this and its definitely not the Eagles anymore
Don't blame the whole organization for Chip Kelly's ego trip. Especially when they've spent the past two years doing everything in their power to make up for that.
david G Totally agree. QB who has been in the system with the Eagles before and followed Doug P. from the Chiefs as well on top of it. And J. Fisher is a p.o.s QB killer
Right! I’m not an Eagles fan as you can see, but some of my friends are and they were bummed and thought the season was over after Wentz got hurt. And I told them relax, you got Nick Foles. Give him a few games to shake off the rust and he’ll do some damage in the playoffs. Now I didn’t see them reaching and winning the Super Bowl but hey, good job.
TheMaster Zman11 Agreed on Jeff Fisher. Vince Young gotta be wondering “what if I was drafted to another team besides Fisher’s Titans to start my career?”
I was at the Rams game. When I found out Carson was down, I didn't panic. I said in March that this is why we brought Nick back. Now, did I think he'd play like Superman? No, but I trusted that he'd get the job done.
Same. I've always been a fan of Foles, and as soon as I heard Wentz was done, I texted my friends that are fellow Eagles fans, and told them 'Foles time'! I had no doubt he would lead us to a SB win. Everyone kept telling me I was crazy for 2 months.
Cowboys fan here. I loved seeing Nick lead the Eagles past Brady and the Patriots. The NFC East always produces! Cowboy for life but the Eagles and Nick were a class act and that was a great Superbowl.
carverboy carverboy you're lying you are not a Dallas Cowboy fan how do you cheerlead for the Eagles. I'm a Patriots fan that's like me going for the Jets fucking loser oh yeah I forgot your team didn't win since the 90s
90sway lover ur so fucken salty the thing is no matter what most rival teams would rather have the patriots lose than their rivals cause everyone hates the cheating pats so much. So glad we beat yo ass
As an Eagles fan, your comment’s one of the nicest things I’ve heard from a cowboys fan. Thank you. Also, very refreshing to see how classy, well spoken Dak Prescott is; he’s a great guy/competitor - if only we could say the same about your owner Jerrah...
Wentz Wagon shut the fuck up the rest of the teams let me use your word salty because they got caught up in that 23 game winning streak we had and we we're running up the scores the Eagles will never accomplish.go pats
90sway lover , sore loser. Stop being a fucking baby, your team lost, own it. The better team won that day. Now go back to bed and continue blowing your blowup Tom Brady doll.
Nick, thank you for bringing the first ever superbowl win to Philadelphia You will be remembered You are the hero and what a knockout punch to Chip Kelly
i am and will always be a giant fan.but that performance on that given sunday by that team lead on the field by Nick Foles will never be forgotten by this giant fan.Congratulations and thanks for the memory
Nick Foles will never have to buy a drink or a meal if I am around. After 50 years as a diehard Eagles fan, and all the heartbreak and crap we fans have had to take, especially from Cowboy fans, he put an end to our long awaited dream of winning a Super Bowl. ALL Eagle fans have him and every member of the Eagles organization, Jeffrey Lori, Doug Pederson, every coach, and everyone who was on the team at any point that year, from the 1st preseason game to the Super Bowl. Together they overcame every obstacle , every bad break, that year to win the Super Bowl. They ALL played some part and together it was enough. THANK YOU to each and every one of them.
Chip kelly ruined the Eagles. Foles should have never been traded for Bradford. The city of philly was against it and supported Foles. It was great to see him come back and win the superbowl on top of it all!
Chip was a huge dickhead he traded foles in some nut shit remember he was hurt he led us to a 9-3 fucking record and he beat out Mike Vick like wtf else do people need? It's because he isn't flashy but he makes the right plays
when you realized that the Eagles trade Bradford late, for a 1st round pick and that was Derek Barnett, the man whose recovered the ball for the Win in the SB. For me.. that was DESTINY.
I wasn't opposed for the Bradford trade cuz Bradford at the time was puttin up numbers and Foles was coming back from a collar bone injury. The real culprit was Chip, I mean he had Murray and couldn't even figure out how the run game...
The more I listen to this gentlemen...can't believe I missed his post-Superbowl comments. Guess I was partying too hard!! But, the more I listen to him, the more I believe he's going to touch a lot of lives, especially when he's done with football. St. Nick, we love you man!!
Great compilation - When the Eagles traded Foles for Bradford and gave away a draft pick, I was angry. Fisher might be a quarterback killer, but Chip Kelly was a roster killer. Now, Philly has 2 quarterbacks who, with good play calling, have shown they can throw into tight coverage and be highly successful. I just hope the Eagles don't screw it up by trading Foles for some draft picks that may or may not turn out. A bird in the hand .....
Nick Foles could leave the Eagles. He is the super bowl mvp and can easily get $20 million a season now. He will stay with the Eagles another season because I think Carson will not play until halfway thru the 2018 season. His knee is just that bad. Unless Carson really screw himself over, then Nick will be the starter for the next 7 years. But right now Nick has the opportunity to leave and make millions somewhere else. Don't think Eagles will give him what he wants.
+Harry V - I would never blame Nick for going for that $80 million contract. However, it would not surprise me if Nick stayed. He was ready to retire not too long ago. And, being a backup for several years at $5-7 million a year would give him the chance to make decent money with less of a chance of suffering from CTE in his later years. I think the only football players that aren't concerned by CTE are the ones that have no other opportunities or aspirations in life.
Nick is King in Philly!...He will always get the V.I.P. treatment when he visits our city. "Good Luck and Thank You Nick, Philly LOVES YOU! 215 forever."
The Philadelphia Eagles "BIG GUN" is Nick Foles. The man does not seem to feel pressure, he is unpredictable in what he can do on a football field. That is what makes Foles so dangerous in the NFL. He can be an average QB, but he can also play better than the GOAT Tom Brady in the biggest game when Tom Brady is at his best. That is scary for any team to go up against.
I hope that line in the super bowl becomes the most famous quote in recent football history, "You want Philly Philly?" Legit ended the patriots dynasty
For who he is, for what he did, for his grit and humility and determination, the biggest underdog of all - Nick Foles will live as one of the biggest hero’s in Philadelphia sports history. Forever. 💚🦅💚 #Foles4Ever
To be factually accurate, the only job Nick could find after being cut by the rams was as a back-up QB...for the Chiefs. His old coach, Andy Reid believed in him and talked him into staying in football.
Pure class and professionalism. I’m a Giants fan for life but I respect Nick and what he’s done. Keep up the good work and keep being an inspiration to our younger generations.
When the Eagles got Nick back from the Chiefs I was so happy he was back. Wentz goes down, I was thank God we have Foles. Let Pederson and Reich build it to him. My faith was finally rewarded. Thanks to Foles, Pederson, Reich and all of that team. So many years wishing and hoping, they pulled it off. It felt magical.
The best thing to ever happen to the Eagles... and now he’s gone. Can’t imagine that the football gods are happy about this. We’ll see what happens in Philly now.
Yes, the video seemed to have missed that and inaccurately said that the job he got after the Rams was the Philly job. You'd think that if somebody is making a mini-documentary they could at least look up the facts before finalizing the video.
Yeah, b ut he was drafted first by philly, then traded to rams for stinkin bradford, then released and signed by big red in KC, then back to eagles. Foles even commented once something like "it was good to win the bowl with the team that drafted me.." or something like that.
This(The Philly Special) still brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes! I guess it’s bc I watched it with my sister not too long before she passed. Rip Sis
What Nick did for Philly will never be forgotten by the fans. One hundred years from now, they will remember that in 2016, he was cast aside and was thinking of retiring from football and go into the ministry like his father. Two years later, he is back with the Eagles and outduels Tom Brady at the Super Bowl. The stuff of legends.
It’s a shame they never took the time to build around this dude from the beginning I’m happy he got another chance. This was probably the highlight of his life along with the rest of philly
Shit... It was Jeff Fisher. What a lousy way to do everything as a coach. Foles was just the icing on the cake. At least now people understand who Fisher was. Hopefully he gets to see and read the comments about his coaching, because it's deserved.
@Ethan Soete they didn't have Skype? I would want them to at least look me in the eye to tell me they're gonna let me go. That's as jacka$$ as leaving an eviction slip on the door without 30 days notice.
Chris not really he scored only 15 points vs the falcons if the defense played average/how they did vs the patriots we would've got killed by the falcons
I had foles jersey since he joined eagles and when he left I was sad and then when he came back I knew this man was gonna shine when he got the opportunity to take over the rest of the season
So happy for Nick. Such a humble down to earth guy. Nice guys do finish first. Again thanks Nick for helping bring a super bowl to the philadelphia eagles. Fly eagles fly
This dude Jeff Fisher had Case Keemun who led the Vikings to the NFC championship game, Nick Foles who is a super bowl MVP, and Jared got a lot better once he left. The dude then had nerve to point out the reason the rams did well last year was because he left them in good shape. What a joke that dude is.
I love Nick Foles keen focus on teamwork love. It reminds me of famed Red Auerbach’s emphasis with the winning Celtics back in the day. "Those who are working alone are like ants, but when they are united they will become as eagles." ~ Baha'i Faith
God blessed the eagles because everyone was praying for the win ! Nick and the rest of the team were perfect that day ! They will walk as chapions forever and that can't be taken away from them .
The thing about Foles is that even if your not a Eagles fan Foles is a good guy hes not a ass hole or disrespectful he always has a good attitude u cant really hate the guy
Nick, you said it. Eagles fan but also a combat vet Marine. Not everyday is rainbows and unicorns. My wife would hide my firearms because she was afraid I would use them on myself. I'm still here and keep my faith.
If there is a struggle going on in your life embrace it - Cause you're growing - Wow! Do we as a people and nation need that WORD!! Thank You for posting!
nick will be the greatest through all the obstacles he has endured. yeah nick keep proving them wrong. been watching u play since your Arizona wildcat days. when i personally hear someone talking crap im in there face.
I believed in Foles in 2013 and 2014. We were at the game he broke his collarbone and then unfortunately got traded. 27 TD’s and only two picks in 10 games in ‘13, a 6-2 record in ‘14. Dumb of Chip to trade him for Bradford. Not only did I always believe in him, as an Eagles fan I would start him this year, ahead of Wentz!
I've never been a believer of Nick Foles, until last year... he made me a believer. I mean, this guy is a total G! I hope he goes to a team that appreciates him and gives him a chance to be a starter. Philly does not deserve him
Easily the only Eagles player i’ve ever liked. Stepped in for the player that was supposed to win MVP, secured the #1 seed and proceeded to play like Aaron Rodgers in the playoffs and Super Bowl. Foles will always have my respect.
Nick I've been strugglingin life but yes I won't give up that's just part of life I have to get up myself and be a better person off me in battle change..thank nick 4 your advice!!!
Humble and true believer of God Foles is. Yeah talk crap. I'm nobody. I'm weak. I really am. But atleast I know who I am and need to do. I'll fail. I know I will. Its sad I have so many nieces and nephes. On top of that my own kids. I'm lost.
I always liked Foles. When Foles was traded for Bradford, the initial reports came out that the Eagles had gotten a 1st round pick. Then, it was that the Eagles had given up a pick. It was one of the many horrible trades Chip Kelly made. I'm so glad Nick ended up landing on his feet. Dare I say he landed on the shoulders of his teammates.
