2:50 - The gunshot sound effect as the trooper shoots Maria is the same as the main menu gunshot. Meaning that every time you hear it, the game is shooting Maria again and again.
Don’t worry jo. Lore wise, in both this and heroes it’s confirmed it’s the original shadow, not a clone or robot. They confirm it in a small dialogue at the final boss of the game, but most don’t even get that dialogue because they kill the boss before it triggers.
It's also confirmed in the 100% true ending in shadow the hedgehog but almost nobody gets that ending cuz why play the same levels a million times? (If you make no mistakes in your paths)

Shadow the Hedgehog is Sonic Adventure 3. Here’s why. Sonic Adventure is a 3D game with six distinct gameplay styles and an emphasis on a story with multiple perspectives. Sonic Adventure 2 took Adventure and honed in on the 3 most popular gameplay styles: Running, Exploration, and Shooting. The story took the perspectives and added an emphasis on morality, while also loosely referencing Adventure 1. The next logical step would be to streamline the 3 gameplay styles into one cohesive experience. Shadow the Hedgehog is a game where you run around levels shooting things, and with an increased emphasis on exploration thanks to the multiple objectives. The story also fully delves into morality with all of the multiple endings rather than 3 set stories. The story also dives back into Adventure 2, tying it to the Adventure series. This is why Shadow the Hedgehog is Sonic Adventure 3. One of my favorite past times is making people mad with this argument.

I played this game so much as a kid. It took me about 30 full playthroughs before I realized how to fight the final boss. The mission objectives are burned into my mind.
I really don't see why people think SnapCube are so funny. I can't remember laughing at any of their "comedy" bits. They're like the Seinfeld of game commentary channels.

The shadow that we play as in this game and heroes, and the one seen later through the series, is not a clone. Long story short, in these games Eggman basically tries to gaslight shadow into believing he was just a clone of the original so he could exert control over him ( which doesn't work even if he does convince him in this game) And yeah i agree, sega was completely right to make this game. fans were begging for them to give sonic a gun at the time. And lastly shadow was definitely supposed to die in sa2, he was just too big of a hit with fans to let him rest in peace. I'm 1 minute in, and I'm already excited
I think if you want to unlock every music track or something you have to play this game through like over 200 times- one for every single combination of levels

This game has to be perfect for their intro and the way he plays is insane. Sega made shadows game really good. BlazinZzetti did a hundred percent run of this game and that speedrun is insane. Especially the routes he takes are on point.
Wait are we actually getting at least a whole route of this game? I can't wait for the rest, I only hope if we just get one it isn't purely one way or the other (or neutral)
Shadow the hedgehog is a game that while is repetitive and tonally out of left field, I can’t say it isn’t made out of love. I mean if there wasn’t any love in it, why would they give all 350 possible routes a name and make em so raw sounding?

All ten endings are what if's. and the only true ending aka the canon ending is the last story which ends up with Shadow to accept his past and leave it all behind so he isn't haunted by his past, But sega still wants to make Shadow a edgy hedgy and at times even in the canon games in the future ignore how he acts after the ending of his own game.

I'm not sure if he was joking, but Joe doesn't understand anything about speedrunning this game at all. For one, there's not a single trick or glitch in the game called "wrong-warping," this isn't Zelda with loading zones to a different overworld section. There's the Chaos Control Glitch where you activate it at the same time as you open up the warp menu, but warping itself is unaffected. There are some places you can clip out of bounds to find shortcuts, but that's it. Nothing against him personally, but it kind of just sounds like he has a commentary template that gets reused for different games: "Oh the speedrunning for X game is wild, there's SOOOOO much wrong-warping." Or maybe that was the joke all along and I didn't get it until just now.
