With immutable force you feel like you dont get stunned but you still get microstunned, canceling your attack. With stun inmunity your attacks with crushing fist will never get canceled mid animation, prooved
Dude I REALLY wish I had stun immunity... So effing bad ... My frozen legion and Crushing Fist gets disrupted. Often... I run Staves though. I'd say don't use crushing Fist with a 1 hander... It's gonna be ass DMG. Trust me run it as an Inquisitor, go Ele Staff. Run literally any attack you want (I use static Strike because we gotta get in close) Use this skill to BOSS ONLY don't main skill this because it's not gonna be reliable. 5-6 link 2 hander. One hander, don't. I would say you could do energy blades 1 hander though which make it a bit easier. Still it's just so much better running it with Staves.
I know this isn't a top tier build, but as a newbie who purely loves aesthetic... this is a killer build. It's like watching Homelander pop people in an epi of the Boys. I'm using your video as a guide and will continue to min/max it. Thanks Jorgen! Looking forward to see what you do with it later.
Did a version of the build in your first video, with 4 link cyclone and 6 link crushing fist. It's very good, especially for Destructive play, invitations and modes with a lot of enemies. 4 link cyclone can do 2mil dps and fist 17mil dps, with 100% Crit. i league started crushing fist. The best thing i can tell you to make sure it is used consistently is to use shift to force stop your movement. if you do not it will constantly try to run into range and even stutter cast the attack, putting it on cd but not doing damage.
After playing the new sword storm, I think these type of skills make a really burst in a setup. Im currently running Cyclone for clearing then using the retaliation skills for burst on bosses/rares on a 4L and it seems to be working, I completely agree with the block comments. I've only recently fixed my defence but block was really hit or miss before hand.
Glad you actually tried this. Still going to try it in standard at some point with legacy FB, Abyssus, and Surrender. Having too much fun in league atm though.
I need to remind everyone... Just because Glad specializes in Retaliation doesn't mean Glad does the BEST DPS with it. They have advantages and none of those are really highly damage based. I'd rock a Zerker with it and just roll into Crits/Rage. I run it on me Ele Staff Inquisitor and it's TECHNICALLY a 4 link because I'm using the Cool down gem for retaliation skills (Not the green gem) Just a 4 link alone lm sitting at half a million for a SINGLE use of the skill. 644k which Inquisitor Bypasses all elemental resistance on critical hits. Once I get a 6 socketling staff I'll probably be in the million's. I do wish I had more AOE though
Sucks they nerf the shield... An AFK build would've been fun... But oh well... And i do hope you get it to work... I'd love to try something like this... Never got into it, because they nerfed the shield... Thought you gave up on the idea, because of it... But glad you stuck too it...
Im also playing this build now. My set up is quite simple. I'm using just Cameria's Maul then have, Glacial Shield Swipe and the Lighthing Retaliation Skill. So far, I'm really liking it but I'm still just level 70 at yellow maps. You do wait sometimes for the boss to attack but its fine because of the high damage. I'm actually killing bosses faster in this build than my previous Shield Crush build. Edit: Forgot about Abyssus. Will try to add it to my build for more damage.
i'm running a similar build right now and I'm not having any trouble with the animation canceling, you need to do unwavering stance to prevent the microstuns to cancel the animation, also I dont see the point on running impales without having the forbidden flesh/flame with master of metal first, I don't think it adds much. In my case I'm running with a cyclone setup with the stampede boots to clear normal and magic packs, and using crushing fist for rares and bosses
DELVE question pls - i have been doing chests areas but the loot is so bad at 250. it is way better not to get distracted and do the azurite and the king only. what do you reckon?
Played this as a league starter and It was working but really felt clunky. As you mentioned getting stuck or delays in the animation was the dealbreaker. Changed to dual strike, but might revisit with more skillpoints and gear.
u can take out Inexorable and Aggressive Bastion and put instead "Deflection", u can try to fit a Thread of Hope where Immutable Force is (Swap Bloodnocth for Immutable), a medium Thread of Hope, in which u can balance the resis taking "diamond Skin" and other decent node in the area. Life mastery "Skills cost life instead of 15% of mana cost" w Phys mastery "40% increased Phys damage w skills that cost life" can be a good way to get damage if u did what i say before ( Aggresive Bastion gives damage ; if u take it out u loose a lil of damage)
I jury rigged a similar build. It's a Chieftain, hood chunk of block, good chunk of fire convert and baby ignites. I was running dawnbrraker and Glacial shield swipe. But I've since transition to svalin. The new lucky block, cast on block shield. Im running a firestorm of pelting in it but wave on conviction would probably work just as well. So I get to run immolate on fist. So far it's veen ridiculously tanks. Clear is respectably decent. And the boss dps is.... well it's dps
I think half the issues of the build would be solved by unwavering stance. If it works like I think, it should also prevent you from being block locked. I would try this but using a strong one handed weapon and bloodthirst support instead of facebreaker. I would try life stacking and getting a life on block shaper shield.
i wanted to go league start with RF chieftain but i had unique drop for LYCOSIDAE shield. it adds 250-300 cold damage on retaliation skills and the shield is for 11 lvl. i have 92k dmg with crushing fist but im doing pure cold build. if i equip the LYCOSIDAE on my 75 lvl char where im doing only 2 tier maps rn the damage skyrockets to 141k on crushing fist hit. im recommending to redo the build to add some ele dmg and cold.
I league started One With Nothing crushing fist and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't particularly enjoyable. It had high-highs and low-lows in terms of fun.

Why do people say you NEED Rigwald's curse with Facebreakers, when they never actually allocate any claw passives in their skill tree? Can someone please explain to a noob
Why nobody mention you can just play tanky build like jugg and allocate the key stone which make retaliation trigger on being hit 6 times instead of block.
When crushing fist was announced I immediately thought of a facebreaker build with it. But seeing that you can't really find it on PoE Ninja, it's clear that it isn't that viable.
Poe ninja doesnt reconize it, im playing 6link crushing fist and it does not appear in my character even as im on the leaderboard. Nah_Id_Spin if you want to look it up.
@@Felipetiherry Your build looks great! I'd try it out if I had a gaming PC to play PoE on. I liked how much you made use of the Lethal Pride in the passive tree. I also think Loreweave is a safe pick for a facebreaker build.
well i league started volcanic fissure/crushing fist chieftain... well it was fun... until i needed spellblock... then it was fun again... until i needed a 600pdps staff... then i switched to cast when stun chieftain like i firstly intended to do xD
you are being stunned out of the attack, you either need a LOT of attack speed or you need to be completely stun immune (cannot be stunned or 100% stun avoid). if you put on brine king pantheon i bet the problem will go away while the stun immunity is in effect. also if you are stun immune, there is no block animation at all. this is very important because you are trying to solve the problem the wrong way =s.
attack speed is a big problem. i dont know why they are not instant skills. dont know what GGG are thinking sometimes haha. between link skills and retaliation skills and having them be represented by ascendancies... completely dumb.
I don't see any reason why you wouldn't take unwavering stance.... Your block already covers attacks. Your spell block already covers spells. Evasion is moot. Also I feel like you coulda got way more damage just using a weapon and scaling all the ridiculous slam and exertion gems in the game.
