I really do love Watch Dogs. I remember few years back when we had the lockdowns and I binged through both Watch dogs 1 & 2 and had so much fun. I really like the first one in particular. I love the dark and gritty Chicargo setting, the unique hacking.. And honestly I know some might claim he's a bit bland but I love Aiden. It's interesting that he's become so reclussive and shut away from the world since his Niece's death that it shows in the details, like how when he walks around he always covers most of his face, keeps his hands in his pockets and just stares down at the ground and avoids making eye contact with anyone. He's not some big, loud handsome hero.. He's just some guy who lost all he cared about and wants to find out why and I do like that.
I love your thoughts on this!! I also think Aiden is so human, flawed and realistic. He's suffered so much, so he's bound to be a little subdued and withdrawn 😔
The world of Watch Dogs is just so vast and filled with many great characters. I can't wait for you to see it all. Also that flashback at Lena's grave kills me everytime

Hi Jules! I feel like I never even came across that Cash Run mini game the whole time I played this! Definitely seemed like a fun little break from Aiden's moody attitude lol. The part at the beginning of the Not The Pizza Guy mission was hilarious, especially with your captions 😂 We've all made that mistake of making something harder than it has to be in a game before 🤣 You're the real MVP for leaving it in as your mishaps like that in games are always funny because u can laugh at yourself first 😅 Have a wonderful day!💜

The ctos towers also unlock additional hideouts as well and you can use the world map to fast travel to any hideout you unlock. Wanted to point that Juliette 😊
32:30 yes. The jam coms are a great tool in this game. Not only will it jam the ctos scans but it will also disrupt calls for reinforcements by enemies and it will disrupt people’s calls if they see you committing a crime. Remember that Juliette! And remember you can craft it too in the weapon wheel. 😊❤️

I have always thought that playing a game, for the first time, it is always more enjoyable to find characters relationships, etc. whilst playing the game, as opposed to having someone tell me in advance. A tip: on the weapon wheel, you can switch between multiple weapons of the same type with the left and right buttons if I remember correctly. In the pistol section you can swap to one with a silencer, which obviously makes stealth easier. You can also unlock an SMG and an assault rifle with silencers, the first if I remember correctly is to complete certain online objectives that are easy, while the AR you need to complete a side quest that is somewhat long. You can check the requirements for each one in the progress section.
If you're having trouble with escaping, there's an upgrade you can use to stop the trains. Buy that then use it to sneak onto the trains and get away from your pursuers. Make sure no one can see you when you do including the helicopters, than do it again to get the train moving again. Works every time for me

Watch dogs is one of many favorite games, it has such a gripping story with beautiful visuals and unique storytelling along with pretty cool game mechanics. I can't wait to see the rest of this story and how you engage with the story and characters, because there are quite a few that are "interesting".

@@xJuliettex hehe true 🤣 You can farm a lot guns and ammo that way. Just don't get close to the openable door on the left from the gate (if you're outside) or on the right (if you're inside), that triggers them to seek that area and get inside if I recall correctly.
Hi Juliette! 👋 This really is a fascinating game. I really enjoy games that incorporate puzzles, especially where you have to use the environment around you in order to help solve them, just like you did when you opened up one of the CTOS towers, and in doing so it opens up more of the game to you (similar to the viewpoints in AC), and again as part of the 'Open Your World' mission. We've been introduced to some scary and intriguing characters in this episode, like Mr Lucky Quinn and Clara Lille (aka Badboy17). I hope we get to find out more about their backstory as the game progresses. It'll be interesting to see how Aiden and Clara's relationship arc develops. I had to laugh when Aiden resorts to randomly asking a stranger if they are "Bad boy, Badboy...17?", definitely the "old school" way, instead of surveilling the individuals around him. Then again, they were in the subway, so there was probably no phone signal, although Clara was able to hack the advertisement screen to say "Behind You," so idk! 😂 40:37 Nice getaway and really smart quick thinking to use the bridge activation in order to escape your pursuers! 😏👍 59:38 I know you were disappointed with your time in the cash run, but throwing yourself off the building like that was a little extreme! 😱😜🤣 I love your funny edits trying to find your way up in 'Not The Pizza Guy', and it was so ironic for me that utube would offer up an ad at the very same time for... If puzzles are your idea of a good time, maybe one day (assuming you haven't played it yet) you should check out Catharine Full Body. That entire game is all about puzzles and has an awesome story.
What I love about Aiden was his dry humor, even though he looks serious but his humor may be dry but with Jordi’s humor will make it even more funny. You should do some random events like stopping criminals by neutralizing them to earn XP to save some of the criminal’s potential victim so that you can unlock more skills since you have finished Open Your World plus it will increase Aiden’s reputation as well. I love that Aiden keeps his cards close and doesn't like to take chances. From we can gather from his story so far he was being a bit reckless and that caused people to attack his fam and his niece died so now that his main focus is avenging her and understanding how it happened, it makes sense that he wont open up, wont share secrets, and doesnt trust people. If he did trust people after what happened, Id be worried lol. Also Jordi is the more practical, and efficient version of Ttevor from GTA5 lol, hes brutal but smart amd gets the job done correctly.and hes funny without being as vulgar as Trevor

@xJuliettex When this game came out many people complained that Aiden was too blind of a character, he didn't have much personal and wasn't very memorable, some people actually said they would have preferred to play as the side characters of Jordi and Clara. And I understand that because they are a bit more fun and stylish when it comes to their interactions and mannerisms but I think Aiden fits the story amd the world he operates in. He is pretty bland though. Also I dont like.to backseat game, I will say though, when you are sneaking around places, blowing up everything on the environment and raising all the forklifts probably isn't the best way to be...sneaky lol. Those things can be used to distract enemy if you quickly have to run behind someone's back but often ot just puts the guards on high alert and will force you to eventually take out your guns and finish the mission in shootouts. Nothing with shootouts though, keeps things interesting. You mention assassins Creed a few times and when I played I found the best way to take people out was a combination of speaking around and coming up behind people like Assassins Creed, and hacking and using the camera, to see if I can do my business with out disturbing folks, but you'll find your own style. Great playthrough sofar🎉
13:00 Welcome to CTOS Towers, one of the puzzle-y elements in the game. They remind me a lot of the towers of _Far Cry 3_ and _Far Cry 4,_ and to a lesser extent the AssCreed towers. They're puzzles in and of themselves that get harder as you progress through the game. You have to figure out how to get from where you are to where you need to be using only line-of-sight hacks. I actually really like it, but then I really enjoyed the FC3/FC4 towers, too. 56:30 Firearms in the game are as much a part of it as you make it. For the most part, you can sneak and hack your way around obstacles--or you can not. You can go in guns akimbo if you want, in which case you'll need to stock up on guns, ammo, and related Skills. 01:01:00 "The Sheer Stupidity". It's an open-world game and it's letting you figue out how to get to where it wants you to go. That's not stupid. That's just learning a video game. After the overcomplicated stuff it taught you so far, assuming this would be another example is perfectly rational. I think I need to pick this up again. I think my problem was I treated it too much like other versions of The Unisoft Gme and ignored the storyline. Problem is I lost track of it so I had no idea what I was doing or why I was doing it. If I do pick it back up, I'll start over and try to not go too crazy with the side-stuff, at least so early. 🏳🌈🖖💙
Oh my goodness, I know exactly what you mean! I love open world games, but when I'm not recording, I get stuck in this mindset that I need to go off and do all the side stuff, and I'll see the icons on the map and feel a bit stressed. So I tend to do that for a while, and then get myself overwhelmed and burnt out so usually it ends up being put aside 😔 When recording, I can't have that happen so it's really important that I focus on the main missions and the story and I find that really does help! A lot of times, the side stuff is available afterwards, so I can always go in after and tidy it up if I want to. I also find that a lot of these open world games are 50 or 100 hour games and I just don't have time for that! So I generally find myself feeling mostly satisfied with the main story and some side stuff. At least it gets played and not put aside, like so many before it 🤣 Have a wonderful weekend, DG 🥰💜
@@xJuliettex That's actually a pretty good mindset to have. I am by _no_ means a game completionist; it's the rare game I enjoy enough to want to devote the time or mental energy into poking into every nook and cranny looking for side quest goals or running back and forth collecting twenty bear asses for every jerk. The time investment of an open-world sandbox game's story missions as opposed to its side content is actually an interesting thing to think about. Like other content creators, you just don't have the time to mess around like that, and you don't generally have the inclination, anyway. As a side note, it'd be interesting to see how many open-world sandbox games really try to give a complete experience to someone who _isn't_ going to run all over the map just to chase shinies or complete races or whatever other thing.
A tip from me! To most visual bugs, limiting your fps to at least 60 in this game and others should fix things such as Aidens coat flapping violently at high speeds : )
Oh yes, make sure you pick up weapons as you will get them for free upon picking it up then buying them at the gun shop. 😊. And you can carry all weapons like you can in gta 5 for example. 😊❤️

The one flaw I don’t like in this game is that we can’t use a weapon while inside a car. Like we can in a gta game. I know Aiden is a master of hacking stuff to lose pursuers. But I wish we can use a pistol or smg to shoot out of. It should’ve been a skill we can unlock under combat or vehicle skill trees or unlock it while playing the story. Because the enemies can shoot you while they are in a vehicle. 😔. It’s just that flaw that I wish Ubisoft would have added to Watch dogs.

One of the best features of this game, which drew me in upon 1st playing, was the characters Aiden Pearce interacts with as we roll out his story. Ubisoft does excel at interesting characters in its game tales, and here so far we've met 2 good ones - Jordi and Clara, plus a little meet with Damien. You hang with a very interesting crowd! The aggressive nature of Aiden's 1st encounter with Clara, is always somewhat troubling, but, not making any excuses for him, I believe Aiden would have done exactly the same, whether BadBoy17 was male of female. Also, Clara knew what she was getting into, mainly because you get the feeling it has happened often. It is the nature of their world, a sub-section of society. Even she tells Aiden "I wouldn't trust me if I were you." She is great at her work and she likely did not go into the meet cold. She probably knows much more about Aiden than he would be comfortable with, as he knew - on a certain level - about BadBoy17. She certainly had little resistance to swatting his hand from her throat, at 17:28, and later, at 18:35, when they parted, the little goodbye - "You're not quite what I expected." "and you're exactly as I expected, Aiden." A weird little thing flashed through my head there - this is very similar to Pete and MJ's goodbye, at the end of their first meeting, in the Spider-Man game, when Pete comes upon her sneaking around the Fisk Art Collection. Jordi, Not the Pizza Guy,🤣 and his "I'm guessing he didn't die.",🤣 is just a charming psychopath, and his presence in the game so far has provided some necessary assistance, as well as tension relief - even if he is the one who has brought on the tension - as in calling the cops on Aiden in the first segment . I've known a few folks like Jordi, certainly not as dedicated to violence, but spur of the moment genius acts which can easily lead to things better avoided. Damien, I feel is the other side of the same coin, and I don't get any helpful vibes from him so far - he is the one who seems to have had a big hand in the problem, with his reluctance to quit whilst they were ahead in their opening robbery, and looking to blame it all on others. The cut scene, with Nicole, is always very emotional to me. Cemeteries are very wonderful places, for all manner of feelings. It is a nice touch here.🥲 And now to you, Juliette! "Oh. I feel like a Really Bad Person." wait a few seconds "Shut UP!"🤣🤣 And your running narrative - I'm leaving this part in, due to the sheer stupidity of it all! "You know? I think I was overthinking this!"😂😂 This last bit was a deja vu moment for me. I too had a few times in this game, running completely around buildings, even city blocks, trying to find what the heck I was to be doing, and where. I find today I'm good company!😜 Very much to your credit here was the excellent use of the helicopter jam, and the even better, but often trickier to use, bridge hack. That you even remembered you had them, in the midst of the stress that pursuits cause in this game, was wonderful! 😍 I still enjoy the little hacking puzzles that pop up when trying to break into things - circuits going to circuits, to circuits. Yes, I think he would have behaved the same, if Clara really was a Bad Boy 🤣 I think their world is so different to mine and I have given Aiden a little bit of leeway in that regard. To be fair, sadly, I think Clara would have been treated worse by many in their industry. And yes, she did have the upper hand at the end haha! Love that! I love the hacking abilities when we are driving! The bridge is one of my favourites. The bad guys can't seem to be brave enough to just go over it, so POOF, they're gone! I wasn't pleased with how the mission with Jordi went down at the end, but at least at the beginning I was doing okay... I really wanted to have a stealthy exit, but damn, those chases are rough and the helicopters are a nightmare! YIKES! I think I'd happily play a whole game of just those hacking puzzles, Tom! They are delightful. And speaking of puzzles, I finished Sudocats, including the bonus levels. I kept playing with the cat pictures, and kind of worked out a little system, utilising the ability to placehold a potential image in the square. That really helped!
