Why would you upgrade anyway, unless the phone is damaged or you just have money to burn; why not grow old with your note 9? If all possible. I was blessed to get a brand new Note 9 with 512gb at a very good price on sale at the time. 😄😀😉
I love both my old Note 3 and my new Note 10+. The Note 3 is still in mint condition and will be used for various things, like a audio companion. It still runs FFT's and produce a flat response when used as a signal generator. Since I upgrade so seldom, 6 years, I always upgrade to the absolute latest flagship. I'm not rich but it gets me peace of mind. I will hunt down a Note 9 in a few years. Stay awesome all! =)

I got the Note 9 one month ago, the 512 GB variant with 8GB of RAM instead of the Note 10 + because of the headphone jack, no hole display and cheaper price. Amazing device.
My note 9 is absolutely stunning, running fast, & like you mentioned, "feature packed". Sorry not sorry, but I'm not upgrading just yet.... There isn't enough in the 10 to give up my 9...
Note 10+ is an amazing device..personally no headphone jack is not a problem for myself. However the note 9 is still such an amazing device! Looks good too.
Its not a problem for all, but honestly the majority of my friends, coworkers, and people I see out and about are using some sort of wired earbuds. Its just frustrating to see companies remove stuff for their own benefit.

I'll be sticking with my note 9! I like my headphone jack. I don't want any holes or notches in my screen. I also like my iris scanner and rear mounted fingerprint scanner! Note 9 is definitely gonna be in my pocket for at least another year! Great video!!!

Yes, definitely preferring my Note 9 and sticking to it. Note 10 huge let down. If this is how Samsung will carry on with the next generation Notes (how hypocrite of them removing the headphone jack) barely being distinctive from the S line, I will stick to Note 9 for as long as I can then goodbye Sammy.

I've owned 3 note phones Note 2 Note 4 Note 9... The note 9 I bought Day 1..and got it for 799.99 and free akg Bluetooth headphones set Worth 299.99 at the time. My phone rule is wait at Least 3 years before you Purchase another note Phone..phones will continue To rise in price no stopping that But you can always wait for Deals during the holidays.. I love my note 9 its beyond Amazing..pictures and videos Are beyond epic.... The only problem I have Is Samsung music app Got rid of edge lighting While playing music.. That was a awesome feature.

I upgraded from my Note 4 to Note 9 around this time last year. I did so because I was getting a little trouble with the phone updates and it was beginning to show it's age. I am so happy with my Note 9 and still think of it as new.
This video definitely convinced me to upgrade to a Note 9 from my S8+! But I will wait till the the note 10 is released so I can take even more advantage of buying a new on Note 9. Where should I get one from?

Note 9 screen size is bigger than Nintendo Switch screen size. You just blew my mind. Totally wouldn't have realized or thought this until you mentioned it.
Parker's NBA Videos very different screen ratios for the two devices. Switch is a two handed device, note 10 is designed to be held in one hand, although probably foolish to try doing much without two hands.

Gping 6 years strong with my Note 3 and it's still running the OG battery too. I have ZERO complaints about my trusty Note 3. :D But I can't wait for me new 512GB Copper Note 9 to arrive next week. :) :) :)

Very good info. I ordered my NOTE 10+ 5G. I do think it's worth it and plus EE is giving some awesome add ons like BT Sports App and Unlimited video streaming without affecting date here in UK.
I've had my T-mobile Note 9 for close to a year during which it finally made the upgrade from Oreo to Pie, received several security and software updates which improved the cameras, brought features from the 10 series like night camera mode, handwriting to text, the ability to export notes to Word/pdf, some swipe actions. It is also on the list for the upgrade to Android 10. All these upgrades have really reinforced my decision to hold on to it and not trade it in for the Note 10+. I feel like this is the last no holds barred, everything but the kitchen sink, all inclusive, no compromise Note.
Great video... I had a Note 3, 5 and 9. And by far the Note 9 is my favorite of all the notes I owned and a beast as well. I was thinking of getting the Note 10 when it came out but Samsung's decision for removing the headphone jack was a killer for me. I'm one of those users that still uses the headphone jack at home with my stereo system and vehicle. The Note 9 will be the last Note I will ever own. I'll have to look elsewhere in a year or so for a new device that offers the headphone jack and features that the note offered.
I was an apple fan boy & moved to the note 9 in early July. This phone has not stopped impressing me since. People call it a power house and rightly so. I've actually needed it and used it for presentation edits, filling entire lengthy visa application forms, signed documents, rushed into last minute meetings and done minutes. On the fun side it's good enough for gaming (I don't know much about that) The PENUP is great as a pastime to colour and draw even for my son. It's an insult to call this device a "phone" it's way way more before that and I still don't consider myself a power user.
Welcome to Samsung Note world 😊. Iphone is great too but to get more creative and functionality Note 9 it is. I still have my Note 4 Edge and now rocking my Note 9. I have no urged of updating to note 10 lol. I have a feeling ill stick to my note 9 for a long time because I love the no hole screen and earphone connectivity.
I got my note 9 not long after release and I like it that much I've upgraded to the 512 8gb version and given my 128gb one to my son. No pin hole camera perfect bezel size so you dont cover the screen when you're watching videos. Headphone jack so I can plug into my car stereo for higher quality sound than bluetooth and more storage and ram than a pc. Only thing to worry about is the battery degrading. If I dont break it I may pay to have a new one fitted when needed.
Note 10 is launching in about a week where I live. They're taking pre-orders now & you can get Note 10/256gb for about $850.00+tax which I thought was a great deal. The current price for Note 9 is $950-$1,100 depends on when you activate the phone. Due to the price difference, I think I'm gonna get Note 10.

Thank you for this comparative review. I've had a note 5 for the last 3 years and it's given me everything I need. I thought that I would go out on a limb and upgrade to a note 9 or 10. This review will help me with that decision.
I owed all of the notes. Note 9 is the one that I will stick to for a longer while. It just ticks all the boxes and there is no reason to upgrade to 10+ Bottom line is that it's a very capable phone and I seriously can't justify spending over $1k for Samsung's new offering.
@@KR-nm6wm I can live with a bluetooth headphone or a dongle. No headphone jack is not much of a problem for me. Iris scanner, 'till now I'm not used to it as it takes seconds before recognition, I almost always use the fingerprint . But, it's nice to have those features though. 😁
I'm upgrading from galaxy S8 and I'm getting a 400eur ($440) discount on the phone due to pre-order discount, trade in of my older Samsung device, and 24 month contract discount. So I'm basically - I'm getting it for 700 bucks. which is really not that bad. (would never pay 1100 for it lol.. not worth it.)
You're so right in this video, Note 9 is the true last NOTE. But what else Samsung could do in improving in Note 9 - more RAM, storage, Camera, cooling, S Pen upgrades. My note 9 is still the best, drops while riding on my bike several times but still alive and also accidentally drop on the pool but still works what can you ask for, its worth a lot for me compare to all other phones.
Watching this video on my Note9. Even though I'm the type that always wants to upgrade as soon as the next "latest and greatest" phone comes out I just can't pull the trigger because my Note9 does everything well and still works flawlessly. At this rate, I'll be getting the Note12 or whatever they call it by then.

I have a Note9 and love it..I dont think I'll let it go unless I absolutely have too, just like I did with my Note5 when I upgraded to the Note9. But you are right I dont see any reason to upgrade to a Note 10 if you already have such a great device like the Note9.

I also think it's not worth the upgrade from the note 9. However, that is true for almost every new phone. Flagships are so good these days that upgrading every year is unnecessary and is bound to only bring small benefits. For anyone coming from the note 8 or similar, the note 10 offers far better value.
If you're due for an upgrade then the Note 10 is a great choice, but if you want to pay half the price for a good note experience, note 9 is also a great choice
My Note 9 is doing very well as of February 20, 2020. The device is running Android 10 and I am very pleased with the performance. Will be holding onto the Note 9 for a few years.
If I have to use wireless earphones because nothing else is possible, and those earphones are running out of battery while I am traveling and I would like to switch to earphones with cable and mic to continue but that is not possible? Then I know what to choose: The Galaxy Note 9. This is another reason: With wireless earphones you can only use the Phone Recorder with the built-in Mic of the Phone, but not via the Mic in the earphones, while you can use the recorder via the earphones with cable, the Mic in the cable on the recorder with the phone in your inner pocket is no problem.
If you're ok with the Note 10 Plus size, then go for it instead of the Note 10, you're probably used to great image quality and QHD+ screens are way better than 1080p

My Note 9 is the best phone I've ever had. Really don't want to lose my headphone jack and plus I've already have the Note 10 upgrades. Kinda don't see the point of upgrading.
Same, I was sold after handling a 10+ unit in best buy. It makes my note 9 feel like a brick weight wise. Snappier too and the cameras are much better along with the speakers.
Note 9 owner! Bought in 2018 and it's still great in 2020. The one ui updates work well on it. Best phone I've had in my life. I was an iphone user for many years but I really love the Note 9. 👍
Any Samsung device from Galaxy 8 series or later is good for at least 2 years, if not 3 (after that support drops lol). It shouldn't even be a consideration to upgrade a 1000 dollar phone after only a year of usage. It's dumb as hell to do.
I have had the Note 9 since week one of launch. I love my Note 9. I held on the the Note 2 for over five and a half years. I was going to upgrade to the 10, but think my 9 will fill the bill until the apps go out of date. I figure I have at least 3 more years lol 😁
You missed also a huge technology leap between the two notes due to missing features in note 10 compared to note 9 : quick optic finger print sensor (compared to slow unsafe in display sensor of note 10), eye scanner in front panel, stereo speakers in note 9.
I appreciate your opinion. I have a Note 9 that I have been very happy with for 2 years. I am considering upgrading to the Note 10 plus. The 10 doesn't interest me. While I get your points about no major improvements, some things have caught my attention. My phone is slowing down some. And, the more powerful processor and 12GB of RAM raises an eyebrow. And, I can get a very good trade in for my phone. So, the difference in my monthly cost would be minimal. So, I haven't made my mind up yet. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I am going to have to say that I agree with you on this one! The Note 9 is truly the greatest Note phone ever, and I have owned every Note, except for the 7. I just can't justify paying $1300.00 for a few extra bells and do-dads! I'll be sticking with the 9 for now.
So buying note 10/10+ will make you lose the following: 1- the perfect full screen because of the front camera hole. 2- the heart beat sensor (a very big retro move instead of improving this feature more like measuring blood pressure or blood sugar, they just canceled it and this is so disappointing) 3- iris scanner which was convenient to many people. 4- head phone jack (Samsung should place wireless headphones instead of wired ones which has a type C connection, so you can't use them while charging and you have to buy a wireless headphones instead). 5- dropping down the notification bar and navigate through gallery just by swiping the fingerprint sensor. 6- notification light which could have been placed around the front camera or around the front ear speaker. 7- the haptic feedback is gone. Because of the ultrasonic finger print sensor. 8- This slow motion thing in note 10 is so stupid. I didn't know that they did that. Unnecessary idiotic step. It doesn't allow you to record slow motion continuously, instead it allows you to record unlimited segments of them manually. WTH.!!! I think I will upgrade my note8 to note9, I waited so long for note10, and here goes nothing.
Great video! I just got the Note 9 last week. I want a headphone jack (I have nice Bose earbuds) I don't want to purchase expensive wireless earbuds that you have to charge up too. Ugh. I don't care about the front facing selfie camera either. This phone is awesome! The camera takes spectacular pictures!
I'm still using Note 2, but as someone already say "update ruined it"!!! Now i'm looking for the newer model, and i too think that Note 9 is a way better deal!!!
I was considering upgrading but I actually us the headphone Jack. When my wireless headsets die I dont want to wait for them to charge back up. So I have wired headphones with me just for that.
Ive just bought the Samsung Galaxy note9 (used to have the OnePlus 7 Pro) and yes soke may see it as a downgrade in some ways but that headphone jack is so useful to me, I use wireless dony headphones and when they die I can just plug them in with an aux as I have autism and struggle with noise and I only got this phone a few days ago and the headphone jack has been used a lot of time time if that's within the car or my headphones. The S-Pen is truly brilliant, I love using it and also the Note9 works a hell of a lot better with the Galaxy watch.
yesterday a friend had his note 10 and I my cloud silver note 9. We were at a shoot and wanted to play some music from a 5.1 surround sound system. Yes it had bluetooth but in a quick instance, I was able to plug in a jack and push out the music. there are so many set ups where you still need that jack, not only corded headphones (which I do not use). Also some high end headphones are only corded. I was impressed with the screen real estate but that is it, not even the fingerprint thing got me. I am more comfortable using the scanner at the back.
so in love with my lavender purple Note 9. Even I really do want the cloud silver, which is not available in my country. And I am not a big fan of punch hole camera. My personal opinion, too thin bezel would not be comfortable.
I Upgraded from note 4 to note 7 and after note 7 exploded I went for the s7 edge. Now rocking the note 9 and s10 plus at the same time. I just switch sim card when one of them dies on me as both of decives are unlocked 💪 Lol
