I volunteer and teach an "art" class at the school in our church. It is VERY small this year and we have only 3 students!! Obviously there's no extra money coming in this year so I REFUSE to ask the school to pay for anything for art class. I spend a few of my own dollars here and there or bring in my personal crafting items but I am very insistent that we can create beauty from leftovers from other projects or recycle things people normally throw away. I did purchase paper making frames and moulds and next class we are making homemade paper from art scraps and Sunday school craft scraps. I thought we could make our own notebooks will all homemade paper but watching this video has blessed me with a new project for the kids. There is one girl that's 10 years old, and the other two are boys ages 13 and 17 so finding things to interest all 3 has been harder than I thought it would be. This however will please all 3 of them and I am sure will also capture the attention of their academic teacher! I know it has captured me!! Off to find some notebooks and headed to my supplies to make some paint sprays. I am eager to have class next week. I might need to make one of my own later today!! I wonder if placing wet napkins on lowest temp in oven will dry them quickly?
Do not put paper napkins in the oven! It will burn. That being said, thank you for taking the time to comment and share with me. You can make a lot of things with just magazine paper - all kinds of themed collages, If it's to cover a notebook or a box. Art doesn't have to be expensive. Thank you for watching. Noit

It is a wonderful art that not only can be used on paper, but also on fabric, wood, and canvases: as well as dress making; given that fact that you only use fabric. Noit, that is a great way to combine notebooks/ journals! I cannot even think of rice paper yet, but will get there eventually. It makes me feel normal to know that even artists such as yourself make small errors, and I thank for for not editing that part out, Thanks for another amazing tutorial.

Thank you so much for the idea for using our faux handmade paper. I’ll get some composition notebooks and give it a try. Do you think it would work as well for a handmade (using cardboard) cover? Would it hold up in the spaces between the covers and the spine?
Hi noit have you tried soaking used up printer cartridges in some water to make ink sprays, it interesting, make sure you wear gloves as it is a strong dye lol

You seem most talented but the video quality needs to be better. I think you'd have way more viewers if you invest in a better camera and a microphone that you attach to yourself because you are so talented. Just saying this because I want to watch all your videos right now and I just found you but it's hard to see well. Maybe more light will help.
