Is the ''Retro'' style of the camera an effect or something or is it intentional? Or is it just that this is standard to FPV? Dont get me wrong I think it looks amazing, but I find it odd in the world of super advanced cams to have something like this.

This type of video quality is not an effect, it's an artifact of using the older analog style camera/video transmission. You can get nicer cameras and newer digital systems, but they are pricier and slightly heavier, so using them on a tiny racing drone where every gram counts doesn't give much benefit imo. Until we get aruond these problems, i think the 'retro' style is here to stay lol.

verry cool! what drone and goggles are you using? I am looking to get into fpv drones.

Thanks! My hardware is slightly dated by todays standards, but i'm using Fatshark HD3 goggles with Rapidfire reciever, and custom drone: meteor 65 frame, Happymodel Diamond elrs aio, Happymodel 28000kv motors, nbd Beeeyee cam, Hq Ultralight 31mm prop, 37.5 cam angle. You could look into a newly realesed Air65 from betafpv drone wise.

@@taranmehta6356 Personally i would look around for some used fatsharks, box googles are pretty bulky and hard to carry around. But if you're on a tight budget, the ev800d should do the job

@@TheRedMati yeah I might have to go with the box goggles. No one rlly selling one that I would want. I’m pretty new so this might sound stupid. But if I rlly wanted to make it better could I not just upgrade antennas and receivers

@@taranmehta6356 I don't think you can upgrade the reciever in these(at least not easly), good antennas will help. At the end of the day, they are good googles. The main concern for me would be with comfort and ease of transport, the image quality/range of ev800 should be just fine. Get them goggles and start flying, you will figure out your wants and needs after some time 💪
