New Jersey Transit and Metro North runs a fleet of classic EMD locomotives on their system. They are still in service today with no end in sight in the foreseeable future for the NJT locomotives. Metro North plans to order Siemens Chargers to replace their fleet of locomotives. We catch action at a variety of locations on NJT and you will hear the pulsating roar these old dinosaurs create. I’ll enjoy these while I can, but it will be a sad day when they finally disappear. Featured also are a couple of the attractive NJT Heritage units of CNJ and EL.
