I had to stop 4 minutes in to THANK YOU. Thank you for addressing the attack on the Capital and really the attack on U.S. democracy. I feel so many of us have been so ingrained to stay surface level and not discuss politics. But more people have to start saying something. What happened Wednesday was horrific, regardless where your politics are. Thank you Emily.

I'm not a huge Christmas person, but I always leave my decorations up until just after the 7th. My grandpa was Serbian and we always celebrated Orthodox Christmas on Jan 7th. He wasn't religious or anything in particular but I think he just liked giving us grandkids another round of gifts and fun.

The 12 days of Christmas are from the 25-6th! Then the epiphany is on the 6th. Lord knows I've often kept my decorations up way too long but generally I take them down around this weekend. I am doing mine this evening and tomorrow.

I keep my decor up as long as it still makes me happy to light it. One particularly stressful year, my tree was up until the end of February because it just cheered me up every time I lit it. But most years, I take it down mid- to end of Jan.

I’m glad you talked about what happened at the capital building. It is embarrassing. I know other countries think of our news as a fun soap opera story. Not so fun when you have to live in this country. Two people arrested lived right down the street from me. Gets me wondering what other unstable people live near me. Also, hello, pandemic! In the pics of them they were not wearing masks.

Would you say through and through that our government is taking proper care of its citizens? I HIGHLY doubt you could say yes to that. Our government is failing us and as Americans we need to be able to make a stand and get rid of (yes I mean physically remove them, hence why It was written into our Declaration of Independence) those in office who are more worried about everyone else than their own starving and struggling Americans. This was not an embarrassment, it was a massive wake up call that we are disposable, that our government would rather kill citizens than have our officials removed from office. Our government is the embarrassment.

Putting away the Christmas lights is so hard! For the last few years I’ve turned my tree into a Valentine Tree by taking down the really Christmassy ornaments and putting on only red and pink lights. I love it! Gets me through for another month of cheerful decorations. 😊💖

I am on board with the OP beach body/swimsuit comment, but also exercising is about the right healthy balance for each individual body. Picking up kids all day and trying to match their physicality is no joke. Neither is the general labor of day to day. I miss being able to work out more freely since I developed spinal arthritis. I'd be excited just to not feel broken down from standing too long. 😁 Little bits of effort make healthier habits and a happier soul in the long run. Keep it up with whatever motivates you. 💓

That foundation is by far my favourite foundation ever! High end or drugstore. Doesn’t budge all day. As for the concealer I find it to be a little too heavy and drying no matter how little I use. I prefer the ELf hydrating camo concealer. Great video🤗

Hi Emily, I’ve been watching you for probably 10 years already back when you filmed in front of your closet and you bring such peace to me, within the last four years I lost my father to lung cancer and I had my son prematurely and was hospitalized due to bladder stones during pregnancy 🤰 and everytime Im sad or have anxiety or just when I need some ME time, I always put one of your videos on and it brings such happiness to me. Kiko has a tendency to release mostly limited edition products so it's hard for youtubers to review them and recommend them when entire lines come and go so fast. Although I have heaed great things about their stuff.

I had to stop the video to say this, you flat out inspire me. Not because I'm a fan, or a youtuber, just as a human! I know how busy you are, with your channel, your 3 beautiful babies, your husband, but you also find time for yourself. Like you said right after you put babba to bed you do a little workout. I have to start doing these things. I know with your crazy schedule you can do it, and I can too. I know you understand migraines, so some days it's like I get nothing accomplished but you seriously pump me up. I lost alot of weight last year, I'm hoping not to put much on this winter... Well with the holidays I did lol but like you said there are so places I'd love to just tone up. I gained so much weight with my son, I literally doubled. My tummy will never be beach ready lol but I know I can look and feel better than I do now. Again Emily, thank you for being YOU! Pausing the video to suggest a work out channel that Jessica Braun here in our beauty community loves, she always talks about Emfit and how how really likes that channel. It's dancing work outs to songs we all know and love from different genres. Those are my favorite kinds of work outs besides running. It is actually offensive that you are willing to bring up the coup attempt at our capitol and yet I don't recall you speaking up or saying a damn thing during BLM protests. Did you just ignore that? Well Mrs. Journalist, you should have paid more attention. @@kellymarie7660 I watched her channel faithfully. Never once heard her speak out about all the black people being killed or the BLM protests like she did the coup. Just her playing with makeup and making $. I knew there was a reason I unsubscribed. Too much white privilege was making me sick. It isn't even good escapism. Other beauty gurus spoke out and took a lot of crap for it. I respect them even more and stayed subscribed. This is just insane how she acts like a princess playing with makeup while the country goes up in flames. Complaining about how she has to have her parents come help because it is so hard to make time to play with makeup since she has to help her daughter with school, so her parents come help. So privileged and out of touch with what the rest of the country is enduring and going thru. My bad for clicking on it as I was interested when I saw the chubby lip pencil.

That foundation is THE BEST under a mask-it transfers to the mask less than any other foundation I own. I first heard MandyLea mention this, and she’s totally right. It’s my go to if I know I’m going to be wearing a mask and talking a lot, so the mask will be rubbing against my face more than if I’m just running into the store and not talking to anyone or something. It’s also great as a mix-in, because it helps the longevity and transfer-resistance of other foundations, especially some of my dewier ones.

Do yoga Emily! Its amazing. Ive had 3 kids and yoga really made me fit. Minimal space needed and you can get a good workout in 15 minutes. Yoga is hard! 💕

I’m 61 and just started Yoga with Adrienne, and I’m surprised at how good it makes me feel! I can tell that it’s making me stronger and really giving me a workout.

I bought the Found blush in Rose Glow after seeing you use it a couple years ago and it’s STILL in my everyday makeup bag. It’s BEAUTIFUL. Along with CG Soft Sable. They’re such good every day shades.

A few friends of mine did the 10,000 steps a day thing for the last year- they didn’t miss a single day, even through shutdowns. They had to get pretty creative sometimes and home out in the rain, but they never missed a day. It has literally changed their lives- they did have quite a bit of weight loss, but that wasn’t their goal- it just came as a result of them having to switch things around to accommodate walking. It is so cool to see!

Drugstore videos are the way to go! I stopped putting stuff on my lower lashes. I felt like it exaggerated darkness and lines. I’m guessing I’m probably 10-15 years older than you are as I’m 44 and your under eye looks lovely! I love a bright lip, it always brings so much life to the face!! You have a perfect bathing suit body. Please don’t feel as if you don’t. If you don’t have one who does?

Hi Em, I’m a grandmother closer to your mom’s age. I feel for parents and teachers having to explain Wednesday to children. Were you able to shield your girls from all the reports? Emily you are the definition of kind. True kindness and it’s very refreshing and real. I understand why creators would steer away from mentioning “divisive politics” to an extent. But what happened on wednesday was an embarrassment and we need to work away from that as a country. It’s not “divisive” to denounce fascism/racism/white supremacy etc. It’s called having basic empathy and it is the bare minimum

I have ALWAYS been a high end foundation girl running the gambit from Diors $82 Captive Totale to Este Lauder. Recently, I tried this L’Oréal foundation and I absolutely love it. I reach for it more than any other in my collection.
