Returned it after a week. The price and style was what attracted me, but there was so many little things that made me give up on it. It's like buying a beta product and you're the tester.
Best review so far on this watch. Thankyou. The only thing missing for me was it lacked an accuracy test on the step count. Otherwise nice to see now you tested the other features.
The CMF Watch Pro 2 is a great price, and gets a lot of things right... But man, the software was a total dog for me. Particularly, notifications were INCREDIBLY hit and miss, and I consider that to be the type of feature that a smartwatch absolutely MUST get right. I missed so many due to the watch randomly disconnecting from the watch app on the Pixel 8 Pro... or just randomly not passing notifications through (until suddenly it did and they all came streaming in at once). And no security model on the device is a big no no these days. Great review!
@@Techsploder Any chance you’ve managed to try it again since they’ve released their big update? I haven’t tried their watch, but I’ve read that the update has fixed most of the problems people were having with it. I can’t speak on that, but I’ve been using a Nothing Phone 2 since late last year and it’s like a completely different phone compared to when I first bought it due to their consistent useful updates, so I believe it tbh.
Thx Chigz. When you connected the watch to app for the very first time, did you touch the (+) at the top? I found that did connect but the picture that appeared showed the square Pro and various things like firmware update versions and watch screens only applied to the Pro, not the Pro2. I needed to do a reset and then click the little watch icon at the bottom to connect and work correctly for the Pro2. That little watch icon at the bottom looks like the Pro which is square and not round too. All is working for me so far. I bought because I saw it has an accelerometer which I thought meant it would detect falls but I don't think it will.

@@tseniki It's really good! However, sometimes it disconnects from my phone, and the "Find My Phone" feature doesn’t work. Other than that, it’s perfect. 👌 Also, the battery backup is amazing - I haven’t even charged it yet, and it’s still at 44%!
Sorry to say this, but I bought the phone, Buds Pro 2, and the watch to have a complete set. The watch's software isn't great, but maybe they'll fix the issues in later versions. However, the Buds Pro 2 were terrible. Due to the noise cancellation, the right bud made waterfall-like noises, which gave me headaches. Contacting support was really difficult; they always asked for so much information like the serial number, version, order number, and so on. After much struggle and exchanging 8 to 9 emails, they tried to send me a return label that didn't work, so I gave up trying to get any help.Now I understand why the company is named "Nothing." I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy phones or any other devices from them.

Got one sent it back I could ring out on the watch but if someone rang me the watch did nothing also if my phone got a notifaction the watch did nothing reset after reset still nothing looked on cmf forums quite a few had same issues
For notifications, you need to open the app and activate the apps you want to receive notifications from. By default most of the app notifications are off. If your BT calls is not working, this is again something you have to activate from within the smartphone app.
Great review, but do you think the connectivity is good? E.g. If I'm using Spotify or a music player app on my phone but I want to control it on my watch, will I stay connected? Same thing with taking calls. I had heard that there were major issues with connectivity on the first watch. I'm trying to decide if I want to get this watch or wait for the Pixel Watch 3. Also, it seems like this watch would be difficult to see in the sun due to low nits?
Nice review, thanks - I didn't even know this watch existed beforehand. On a side note, the (Samsung? Oura?) ring that you wear in the video in my opinion looks terrible - big, clunky and too techy. Let's hope they improve on the design in subsequent versions.
The watch is not my daily driver, so I just took it back out of the box to double check. In fact there is no swimming workouts available on this watch. You have every single exercise you can think of, including boxing, parkour, dancing, but no swimming. Thanks for your good question.
Bro i think mine watch is broken, gps takes crazy long time to calibrate and if it eventually does its soooooo inaccurate 😭 anyone else having same problem?
ATTENTION ALLERGIC PEOPLE WITH WATCH PRO 2!!! Unlike the first model from 2023, this CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2 from 2024 can give you contact allergies. According to Nothing, you already have the charging pins with a nickel finish. The buckle is unknown. In my case, this being in contact with the epidermis of the wrist, I had a rather unpleasant allergic reaction. All this combined with the heat and sweat of the summer. The brand, faced with this problem, gave me a surreal solution. In conclusion, I proceeded to return it. In 2024, the use of components that harm health in a product of this type is out of context. They should have had given the bezzels for free in the box. I mean seriously a 5 cent thing u have to buy seperately. I mean its not a big deal but i mean come on. Im on the edge of buying them for the first time ever but companys have some ass holes that take shit decisions and fk it up for the conusmers Just to save a cent or two.
I will never understand what's with the 6 watchface limit with smart watches, we are talking about scraps of data so why 6, why not 10, 12 or 15? Soo dumm..
Well... It's not a fitness watch you actually would use for fitness. It's not a smartwatch you would actually use as your phone companion. It's just a big chunk of NOTHING with some proprietary OS and extremely buggy and unreliable software. Frequent disconnects and freezes, notifications are yet another bad NOTHING you definitely can't trust and for desert it's a fingerprints and scratches magnet to the extreme (got some visible scratches after one day of use). So.... A very expensive NOTHING from NOTHING for NOTHING.
