That Baja sand forced me to go slower which gave me the opportunity to process a lot of things on my mind. What I once looked at as a pain in my butt became a gift. I’m feeling grateful for this journey and for all of YOU! Thanks for following this adventure.

I saw some great graffiti whilst riding the other day. I was reminded of it several times during this video, when you pondered about life, the universe and everything. You have inspired Andrew and I to take a bike packing trip this year. It will be our 2nd epic biking event as we did RAGBRAI in 2023, but our first bike packing adventure. We will be doing the Katy Trail in Missouri. We have it all planned as best we can for our distance each day and where to stop for our overnights. We are gearing up our bikes so that we are able to carry what we need to make the trip. We will roll with what comes at us the best we can and just enjoy being out there on our 600X's. Andrew has even talked one of his college buddies to join us for the trip. It will be an adventure that we will never forget. Thanks for sharing your Baja journey. It was truly an adventure worth watching.

I am a Mexican who has been to Baja as a tourist most of my life (47 years and counting) and finally as of this year a permanent resident. So your love of Baja and its people really gets me. You have given me hope at least being an ok machanic one day. I get very frustrated and I feel like I am doing more harm than good when I work on my bike. It has detered me in the past where I will quit for awhile. But I will keep working on it like you did and stop being so hard on myself for the smallest things! Thanks for the positivity booster. These past 6 months have been especially hard on me but I have decided to stop being so scared and work for some dreams and some of those dreams are some bike adventures! Happy birthday to you and thanks for all that you do!

Ryan, Thank you for your channel, biked a lot in my thirties when I lived in New Mexico but got away from it after getting hit by a car. I happened upon your channel and got inspired to start biking again and plan on doing some bike packing. I just purchased a 600X and have started riding again up here on the Olympic Peninsula. Every time I've seen a mechanic put in those bacon strips they've lit the excess on fire like a candle, waited for it to burn down to the tire, then blow it out. I assume this is to prevent it being pulled out as you drive on it, but it might also help the vulcanizing. It's worked every time.

4:30 This is also why I search for various long mountain bike trails, green-ways, rail-trails, bike packing routes, etc. and where there is none, I opt for the back roads and side streets as much as possible!

I enjoyed the series from Baja thank you! I got out today and rode my mountain bike just over 14 miles. Old railway turned into a biking and hiking path. Granite basin area it's called, gorgeous! I really enjoyed the beauty and took some pictures, and met some nice people to chat with. Thanks for the message to "Get out there" Ryan! Glad I did today!

Hi Ryan, have you ever considered using earplugs during the nights you spend next to noisy villages ? Is so and still don't wear any, why don't you ? Another suggestion: I would find it fun if you forgot (on purpose) your electric razor during a series like this one. We could enjoy witnessing your beard growing day after day. Congratulations on finishing! About your content - I love it! Since I stumbled across your channel I’ve watched what feels like most of your videos. You’ve tried different things in the past, I’d consider trying something new again to sprinkle in with your adventure content. If long time viewers feel some déjà vu, a little something new can spicen things up for them and you as well. I mentioned before, I’d love to see you do some running adventures as well. Adventures don’t all have to be grand and remote, they just need to be adventurous. There’s plenty of adventure awaiting you in the US so you don’t even need to go abroad. Anyway, just my $.02 - I love what you’re doing so I can’t wait until the next video!

Ryan, if you would have had to change that rear tire, how difficult is it? Do you need any special tools or is it a QR or thru axle? Is it difficult to get the tension on the belt right when you reinstall the wheel?

It’s super easy, comes right off like a normal wheel. The tension is set, doesn’t change when taking off the wheel

Weird question, why shave when you’re out on adventures? Asking curiously not condescendingly. Also when using the tire plugs, thread the eye of the tool with the plug, insert the plug in the hole and twist a few times. This puts a knot/ball in the plug to hold it in place. The tool should pull out and leave the plug behind in the tire.

Have you ever tried putting fork bags on the Wren fork? Thinking that might work pretty well given the inverted fork configuration. I recently got a 600X and am thinking about fork bags instead of a bag on the handlebar to keep weight lower.
