A new woman I was seeing wanted to go camping. I was so happy! I have a good 4x4 set up, not glamping, but fully comfortable. She cried after we made first nights camp because there was no internet. Next camp night, I checked the signal strength and had internet. She spent the evening sending pictures and gloating to her friends. Hardly talked, didn't help make dinner or clean up. Didnt attempt to help set up in the first place, but went walking to take pictures instead. Next morning, same thing. No help, I made hot breakfast with eggs n bacon etc. I washed up and packed camp while she was chatting and doing her for the day....ON A BEACH CAMP. I gave up and drove back down the beach to leave the island, i told her nothing as her head was buried in her phone between telling me she was thirsty or hungry. We got to the vehicle barge and I talked to the deck hand i know, he laughed. I gave the barge crew a cartoon of beer I had, and $50. I told her I had to fix a pump on the barge for them, so to go have a coffee I the Cafe on board. ( I knew these guys, did repair work for them, and they were happy to play along.) 15 minutes later my phone rang. She was on her way back to the mainland with all her gear. I was driving back up the island for the rest of my vacation. She wasn't happy. I told her the truth. She went ballistic....as they do. I hung up on her, and eventually blocked her, after all my pictures of my awesome holiday went online. 😅😅

In a city, yes. In the woods, a single person tent, single burner stove, and a few other items that are only there to keep you alive are all you need.

I live in my RV full time, no running but access to a garden hose. Dug a 300 ft long trench and ran wire to a 220 outlet that I installed so I could plug in. Use a camp stove to cook and do my wash in a bucket using a paint mixer as an agitator, washboard for stubborn stains. Love it. Little Buddy heater got me through the winter. It's me my dog and cat and I love it.
