@@clarion7018 the good days when people could take a joke. Not like today people look for trigger incentive words joke or not and want to pick a fight. If u know u know.
@@amraply2044 totally agreed. We don't have women then with fake eye lashes and the "I am the influencer, #" type of attitude. I wouldn't go out with any preying wolves who will accuse you for everything under the sun.
Thanks for uploading this. Never seen his stuff from the 90s. I can tell his accents were not yet refined yet. Not as good in this bit as his later stuff. Must've taken years of practice to make them all so good. I've heard his Indian, Cantonese, New York Italian, British, Arab, Australian, Filipino accents in other performances and they were all so spot-on and hilarious.
It is definitely the mid 90’ cause remembering saw some of his performances on TV. One other obvious tip is that most of Indians drive cabs during this time not like now they are all in IT.
it's also Canada. So depending on where u are from,,,, yeah some of these people look 80's 70's lol. But definitely some 90s big hair, red lipstick , black outfit going on.
Man, this was only, 95 and yet, how things have changed so much. I actually, miss some of this. The look and feel of the time. Russell has changed so much, since these days but his comedy always, has been genius, it seems. My Best. Be Well and Safe. Out. 🙂🖐🏼
When I lived in San Francisco 50 years ago there was a Chinese Restaurant called Wang Cum, many cigarettes in the city got their photos taken under their sign
I remember back in the late 90s when I was talking a walk in a park in England....bunch of 10 years old boys were asking for a " fag"...coming from Asia, that was a bit of a surprise...
@@HomeMoviesdotCa I understand. This popularity by RP fan, like me, is due to the sporadic amount of his early material. Most comedians have, maybe, up to 3 - 4 hours of material that outline their start and subsequent rise to fame. Because Russell was part of the group of celebrities that became successful through You Tube, the amount of his early material that is publicly available is scarce. So stuff like this is really valuable; it shows where his comedy was at, in the late 1990s. Just a question: would you have the CBC show that he did, which included him doing some skits? I think the show was called "Comics," and was released in 1995.
@@thedarkness5032 Sorry to say don't have "Comics" RP. 1st time we saw RP he did a bit about Indian retailers bartering, "Take It - n - Go" omg we laughed our socks off, would love to have that one to put up. And, I enjoyed that tv show he did about a Indian-Canadian in India too.
I didn’t realize there was so many white people back then. I mean I’m sure he still is but I grew up in Southern California so there was never that many white people in my place even in the early 90s. Unless you were in the Midwest for South
I’m actually here looking for footage of him from 1996, he performed in the middle of a dance floor at a small club in Toronto & made fun of someone’s pager
