Alice That was so kind of you helping that family in the car I have grand children just like them, In the the UK you don't see many people living in minivans very often its rare, just remember folks as my daughter told a restaurant manager who was clearing a homeless lady away from the front of his restaurant HE is only one step away from being homeless ! just by being ill or loosing your job for a long term and unable to pay your mortgage you will be evicted out of your home in the uk through no fault of your own ! I always think when I’m going through tough times that there’s always someone out dealing with worse than me. That was awesome of you to help that family.

Helping someone in need like that is a good thing. I walked out of a SuperAmerica and their was a young couple sitting on the ground leaning against the building. They looked pretty rough like sleeping in the bush. They didn't ask for money, but I always carry a $20 bill in my wallet. I stopped and gave them the $20 and said I hope things get better for you. So, now you are stuck with an extra truck. Hopefully things get better in the freight market. Good Luck.

Hi Alice I knew from the first time I watched you and Martin you where good people. After COVID the Australian government did nothing to help people who lost there jobs and homes. Wife and I went out of town for weekend getaway. I noticed few trucks on interstate moving through Houston and even traffic was very light for a Saturday morning. Economy is not as good as Brandon says but he’s been lying his whole career. Hopefully things will improve for everyone.

Alice. Sorry to see yous go thru such a rough time with freight recently. The market is bad for sure and as a 1 truck owner op I've had rate cuts and lower volumes but not as drastic as yous have suffered on those dedicated runs But you have always a positive attitude and to see you go out of your way to help that family in need when you guys are going thru a tough time in your business , speaks volumes as to you and Martin's compassion to others in need I firmly believe in paying forward , and you sure done that for that family. Although we are suffering in trucking right now , many of us have been blessed over the years and have more than a lot of these people could even dream of Well done Alice... keep your chin up, things will get better again And as I ve said many times before , you guys show the truth about trucking , the good the bad and the ugly....... it's. Borne and raised in Seal Beach ,California didn't think I'd be able to leave but had to,been in Arkansas for 3 yrs now,that was very kind of you Alice❤

I am glad you helped the family and it worked out ok. I will say that if you come to San Antonio Texas I would be very careful doing that. Lots of people have been attacked at banks, atm,s, gas stations and store parking lots. We have has 4 police officers shot in the last week. It is a scary world out there and does not seem to be getting better. At least not fast enough.

We all hope the market turns around soon. Is there other routs you can do in the mean time, I mean load up to Denver, then to another city, then back to Denver and they will have a load for you back home? Alice don't forget we all would love a video of you just feeding and taking care of your horses. Explain the blinders to those who don't know why the horse if wearing them - etc.

Was going to say to you a while ago that when I had a dedicated run years ago, I had a 12 stop run into Portland, then Seattle area, running a curtain side flatbed, I would stop at the reststop overnight on the I5 at Klamath River, and pick blackberries along the river, and fill about 4 gallons of berries for my mom...

Weed is also my nickname. Lol

Lol randomly came across this video and saw one of our trls at 07:40 Ceva has been a customer of ours for years and they are slow af right now Definitely were able to get some great rates from them over the years. Just to clarify we're a carrier with our own equipment so we're not leased on or anything where they are exclusively dispatching us. We handle overflow on the fleet side when they have it or dedicated customer accounts that pu from the shipper directly. We're hiring teams for company positions if anyone is interested. Based in Sacramento and run both the I-5 and Midwest/east coast with mostly drop & hook dedicated runs. We're busy with too much freight so looking to add trucks asap and hire more drivers. Take care of drivers and your service to the customer will reflect that so that's how we stay busy year round and during "slow" times

Sorry to hear about your deal with Ceva, Martin told me about it last night on the phone. As far as the homeless stuff goes, it’s not just California. I spent the last couple of weeks with the exception of the Alaska cruise in Seattle Tacoma, headed down through Oregon into California and I could not believe how much homeless I saw. Even in Arcata California three nights ago it was so bad that some of the hotels fenced off. You can’t even get in there to book a room without calling them first.

My grandparents had a dairy in auburn, Wa. When I was a kid. We use to pick & eat them all the time. They were great.

Bless you, Alice. That woman you helped is just one of sooo many. I see a number of lone women with kids in that same situation around the middle of Iowa where I live. Often they are hanging around Walmart parking lots. Gas is precious to them especially now that the it has gotten so expensive. When I travel to Texas, I stay in the highway rest areas in the middle of interstates. Now those places are full at night with cars not just semi-trucks. People who travel are finding it harder to afford hotels because hotels are so expensive now as well. I will give cash to folks I see when I am leaving a parking area but at my age I don't feel very secure about doing anything more. Unfortunately this is getting steadily worse. Sorry about your deal with CEVA. Hopefully, you can work that out .

when i was running my lane with ceva to east point Georgia same issue never had trailers or locked would have to wait for 2-3hrs

Wow that clam chowder looks good and it reminds me of a time when my dad and me went up to Santa Barbara california and while we were there we ate at a seafood restaurant on the beach in Santa Barbara and they had the best clam chowder I have ever eaten but the clam chowder you ate looks like a very close style of clam chowder. So thanks for bringing back some found memories

Great job on helping that family, i’ve had that situation happen to me a few times offering to fill up the vehicle for them but they always wanted the money but by the looks of it that family needed the money and gas great job, sorry to hear you guys lost your run but waiting for the next video see what’s going on now. That was a good deed alice! This week I had to get to an optcian and did not have the exact address(34 & 7th ave???) and I did not have my phone on me. I saw a homeless man with 2 phones!!! I asked him to lookup the addresss for me. I gave him $5 and he was extremely grateful!!
