I'm the same. I'm not really bothered by the cameras . I have a dedicated camera for that sort of thing . Take the cameras away and I think the nothing phone is an overall better device!
As a nothing 1 user, I can tell you that the whole experience has been a pleasure from start to well now. I really don't need to upgrade to the 2 but I think I just might in a few weeks time.
Same Brother i have week ago upgraded from phone 1 to phone 2 and i am now have Heart pain i from the first day have phone 1 and he is Stunningly beautiful and smooth and when i think now i should wait at least phone 3 or four but now is no way back
Been using np2 since august, all i can say is i love it. Glyphs as most say is just gimmicky and no actual purpose, i beg to differ... Most times my phone is face down. Its not distracting and quite convenient. Its not everyones cup of tea but base on experience, its smooth and very reliable. On cameras though it needs improvement but when looking back to my dslr, it is acting kinda similar in a way. When its dark, youll have to accept its dark. use something for light. Hehe. In my opinion, Pixel phones are really good. Especially with these new G processors. I wanted a newer phone for myself, before going on holidays, and I bought at a really good price a Pixel 6a. Even it has a 60hz display, for me it does the job with the camera, and panel what is has. Thank you for the video ! ✌️
Pixel phones are good no doubt but this is for their software not processor. In fact processor is the most weak point of pixel 7 and pro. I will always go with pixel but not without latest processor from Qualcomm. That's why I opted for S23 and S23 ultra.

Been a Pixel fanboy since day one.. pretty much had them all except for 5. I've had nothing but issues with the 7 Pro. It had poor reception/no coverage problems. Which apparently a common issue. Going have to now RMA the device back to Google.
I bought a refurbed Pixel 4 recently for $185. Back then it got a lot of hate, but honestly it's much better than what people said it was. Battery life for some reason has been phenomenal despite the puny battery. And the motion sense and squeeze features are super useful to have. I've got no intention with upgrading to a newer Pixel, the P4 is where its at!
I would go with the Pixel 7 Pro , there is just something about the Pixel Experience that you can't get enough of, there are so many Pixel exclusive AI features that it will be really hard to live without now in days.

If we are being honest tge pixel definitely is an overall better phone,it has a better camera and more stable software with specs to compete with the nothing phone 2 although the nothing phone 2 beats it in performance and i think display quality(correct me if im wrong)but for a companies second phone they are doing really well and i expect the phone 3 to be the device that solidifies them as a competitor
Tbf the software on the NP2 isn't bad either, and it's quite unique. I don't think it's fair to say that either one is better, as either one is made for different consumers in mind. It all depends on whether you value cameras and Pixel features more, or whether you value better specs and novelty factor. It seems that for many, the Pixel 7 is much cheaper, so the P7 may be the de facto answer. The Nothing Phone 2 is for those that know they want it, regardless of price.

Your choice feels so biased. + The Pixel is almost a year old and far superior. + Updates for 5 years + Camera is objectively much better - especially colours, lightning, skin tones, low light, video, selfies, ... + SoC comparisons are pretty much useless for the average consumer, except for the modem, which is better from Qualcomm + The Nothing 2's back feels like plastic and the gimmicky lights are pretty much useless --> since 99% of people either use a case or don't put their phone on a table with the screen facing down + Design 'dated' --> It's a phone, not a blinking toy for children. Nothing just ripped off the Iphone with the same design for years. Lmao. + cheaper + Smaller form factor + IP68 + better speakers ~ 90hz vs 120hz - Do you notice any difference? The pixel 7 has some speakers issues and the phone 2 is just mid The pixel 7 has some battery drain issue and some heating (not for everyone) which i believe can be fix with some updates The pixel also has slow charging but 50% in 30 minute is great for me Phone 2 camra will get better with some updates just like the phone 1 but pixel still better overall Phone 2 has bigger battery and will last more then the pixel 7 for sure Fast charging Ltpo display Phone 2 has a potential and again with updates the phone will get better But for 600$ just like the pixel 7 launch price pixel definitely won this

Thank you for your video, interesting comparison. Price wise here in Europe, the Pixel 7 is curently at 549€ (sometimes even cheaper) while the Nothing Phone (2) is at 679€ (8+128GB) so a price difference of 130€. While I love the Nothing Phone (2) design, I am not too sure how far it is 130€ better than the Pixel 7. Alright the Nothing Phone (2) just launched and possible good offers might be coming arround Black Friday or such.
Can't agree on the battery test in my case. I have the nothing phone 2 and the pixel 7 pro and the nothing phone 2 EASILY beats out the 7 pro in battery life. Like you said...everyone's experience is different but in my case? Nothing wins easily in battery life. Rest of the comparison is spot on and very well done. Good stuff.
@@linusaxelsson3940 I was using it as a comparison for battery life and how even the bigger pixel with the bigger battery couldn't beat the nothing phone 2 in terms of endurance.
in daylight, the Nothing has better contrast on photos for my taste, at night, the Pixel is much better. But honestly, who makes a lot of pictures at night? There are also many other comparison videos available Nothing seems to be be a winner even in comparison to the iphone 14.
Phone 2 colours and HDR on the camera look total garbage in comparison to pixel 7. The cameras are definitely not on par. If it wasnt so big and had better camera camera perveance it may be worth it but as it is the pixel 8 will be the one to buy when released.
Special offers don't last all year but whatever. I'm confident with using a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 more than a Tensor. Google is not doing a good job. Cameras are not everything in a phone.I'm not saying NP2 is best smartphone in the world but why wouldn't buy a nice smartphone with design i like and 8+ Gen 1? It seems like eveyrone is ok with low charging speed, just ok battery life, issues with glass on the back, only 3 years of OS Updates🤨. S23,S23+,S23 Ultra, 13 Pro/Max, 14 Pro/Max are phones to buy. And NP1 or NP2 if you want to deal with iOS and Android at the same time.

Still it matters. I own the nothing phone 1. Due to its sheer i find it a bit hard to hold. With a case, it only gets bigger. Wish it were a bit smaller or linear. Ultimately how the phone feels in your hand becomes part of the experience.
Question for you. I usually don't type with my fingers much on my pixel 6 anymore because the voice dictation is so alarmingly good. How is it on the phone 2? Is it using that voice dictation technology that's built directly on the phone?
@@LatencyProblem Oh my god.... How disappointing. I use voice dictation for nearly 90% of my texting. I'd always evolved when it comes to input. I started with two thumb typing, then I started to swipe, I got really good at everything up to the point when I kept evolving. And now I'm dictating and man this is all I do 90% of the time. I'm even doing it right now. This entire message has taken me less than 30 seconds with very little effort

here in the philippines, 5G on pixel phone is disabled since its not officially release and no oficial warranty from google, its s risk for the pixel phone, on my personal standpoint nothing phone will be a better choice for they 5G connectivity and oficial warranty
Idk how pixel and nothing still images are neck to neck. Imo pixel still images are better than the iphone 14s. I can accept that nothing has a better battery life and performance but the cameras ! No shot.
nothing is doing really good but not upto mark, they are seeing a vision like apple but in reality in dynamic range is still an upset to almost every youtube reviewers, more often i agree no phone can match the quality of pixel mobile. for a fair match it's best to compare with samsung's s series fan edition!!!

The front camera especially for videos on NP2 is pure trash. The HDR and colours and wanky overall if the lighting isn't ideal. I hope they improve it with further updates. Also, the software too is much polished on Pixel and it's AI is quite incredible too. There are tons of bugs on NP2 and Nothing took like 6 months++ to fix all bugs on NP1. Lastly, the funky back panel on NP2 is quite childish tbh. Pixel 7 looks more premium and mature and it'll age better too. *Pixel 7 is better overall for the price.* Cheers 🥂
Pixels overdo the HDR/DR making the photos look overexposed and false - the shadows are lifted too much . Must admit Pixels are excellent at dealing with pesky highlights IE sky, clouds .(Yes I'm a pixel owner) The pixel 7 series is an odd design, no odder than the nothing phone series . I find the pixel 7 series quite childish looking, like a boggly eyed toy . Not as well balanced in design or as sophisticated looking as the pixel 6 series. The Samsung S23 series has a more mature and appealing design aesthetic.( No I don't own a Samsung) Pixels are also buggy, probably have the most reported bugs compared to other phones on the market .
Finally someone said it ! Thanks for being honest. These idiots sold out youtubers don't even talk about the artificial intelligence capabilities on the pixel. Like how can nothing even manage to even get close to the UI experience that pixel offers. Plus the haptics man... The haptics alone can elevate the user experience so so much that it's just superb on the pixel.
I will any day take a truly smart smartphone over a bunch of hardware glued together on a silicone board. And any day take a true one of its kind UI experience over custom skin on the stock Android
Nothing's just too big for me. If they have a pixel size phone, then I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Im not also a fan of the lightshow. I have been using a moto g31 and I don't even know what the back looks like unless I check on it. Haha..

I agree with him, the design hasn't aged well. I used to love pixels until they started making these horrible designs . I was going to consider a pixel 8, but I've seen images on it and there's no discernable design change .

The glyphs are pretty much useless. If the glyphs could be assigned to different contacts then I could see them being useful. The Nothing 2 phone uses a Snapdragon Gen 1; last year's chipset. Which is not as efficient as the Snapdragon Gen 2. Cameras are no comparison. The Pixel will win every time, also the glyphs must burn battery life easily .The Nothing 2 would do better to get rid of the gimmicky glyphs unless you're a teenager and trying to show off. "Glyphs are for Kids." 😂 Get a pair of sneakers with flashing lights and you're good to go 😂😂. I won't even mention the annoying ringtones on The Nothing 2. Who told Carl Pei that they were cool. They make me cringe every time I hear them.
