I think notion is good at tracking and compiling while anki is good for doing active recall and testing the knowledge! using them together is what I feel best.
This channel is so amazing, I had never heard of notion until now. Could you do a video on how you structured your notion notes? Thanks for the great vid :)
I graduated years ago, but looking for ways to capture information that i'm reading to actually help in day to day life and in writing scripts for youtube video (so recalling information easily) and I found this video so useful! I'm already an avid notion user, but though Anki is probably defiantly geared towards studying, i love how you use and organise your notion for recalling information - but still interested in anki to try and remember info I need to learn on a day to day basis - so thank you so much for your in depth video - i've already shared with friends who will find this very useful!
This is exactly what in feeling!! I have not been doing super well with anki like what many people said but Notion rlly did help me with my organising my knowldge chornogically!!
Hey thank you for the feedback. I used ANKI in med school to note down pertinent learning points from lectures but you can do the same with notion toggles - in fact I would advocate notion toggles more now due to the fact you can create follow-on questions with better structure. The key is to try not to note down everything, think about the high-yield points only to avoid copying down the entirety of the lecture.
This is the best video I ever found about this complex topic I had so many thought about. Thank you so much! I also really enjoyed your way of argumenting.
Hey Kitty, love your video. I was wondering if you would be willing to upload your notes for anatomy. It would really help me prepare for my anatomy spotter. Thank you.
I think I addressed it in the video; with notion you can design formulas within templates (or download others' premade templates) to achieve spaced repetition studying. There has certainly been many more intuitive templates being made since I released this video last year. However, this is not as intuitive as ANKI which was designed with space repetition in mind and a lot easier to start from the get go without as much set up from an ease of use standpoint. Ultimately Notion was designed to be much more versatile and can do many more things than ANKI; but the trade off (in my opinion) is that ANKI does one thing better.
