This is WHY people record 🎥 📱 at gigs. You never know who’s gonna be big and we look back. Imagine if the guy recording didn’t and was _”Just enjoy the moment, maaaan”_ We’d never have this to see.
Yes it's me, the B.I.G Competition ripper ever since 13 Used to steal clothes was considered a thief Until I started hustlin' on Fulton Street Makin' loot, knockin' boots on the regular Pass the microphone I'm the perfect competitor Jewels and all that, my clothes is all that Chumps steppin' to me, that's where they took a FALL at! B.I.G. without burner, that's unheard of I stay close to mine like Tina on Turner Quick to smother, a punk motherfucker Undercover, word to mother, I'm above ya And I love ya, cause you're a sweet bitch A crazy crab, the type to make my dick itch I flow looser than Luther, words ya get used ta B.I.G. is a born trooper Like ice cream I scoop ya, my music you wanna get loose ta Stay dipped, and I'm not a booster So what'cha got to say? This mackin' word is bond There's no other assumption, I got it going on I'm not conceited, my friends tell me this Even my mother, be noddin' her head to this Makes her proud to see her one son get loud Flip on a sucker, and bow to the crowd Drink a little Hennessy, smoke a blunt or 2 or 3 or 4 Live in action, guaranteed RAW
Love Biggie. This freestyle, on the street, in front of the bodega….it’s so raw. It IS 90’s hip hop. No chains, no money waving, no props, no corny face tats….just a man killin it on the mic in broad daylight. One of the all time greats. RIP Biggie.
@thatguyfawkes2328 Yeah. If anything, this is much more 80s than 90s rap. GMFTFF were making disses and songs of struggle, 90s was more about making songs of dominance and wealth
Have you seen the shit a lot of today's so-called rappers are wearing? Lol And what about the multi-colored hair and dorky face tattoos? Half these mfs look like 5 year old scribbled all over their faces with a magic marker.
First off All dude, Music changes over time, it would be boring if it was all the same for the next 20+ years , you sound just like the people that were putting his music down in the 90’s , just let people do what they wanna do , I don’t know why you care so much, culture changes bro. Lil Yachty never said he was the most lyrical rapper ever either, he makes music he enjoys and you’re just hating on him. Hip hop is and always will be great. I could name several different great artists from this generation

@@Xyzc.xyzc1 Nope I wasn't born in that era or get nostalgia it's because this shit is the best out there. Flow is unbelievable, story telling is on point, and the voice adds the final touch. God damn perfection.
He had a powerful aura even at 17. When you first look at him you don’t think much but when he opens his mouth his whole swag speaks volumes. I’m impressed
You should read the Alchmyst, Diary of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. He touches on living legends like celebrities and how they have the aura that draws people to them. He doesn't talk about B.I.G. but he touches on celebrities like Michael Jackson, etc. Really interesting SCI-FI series of books about legends like this are immortal even after they leave us.
Listen to better music dude. Music is as good as it has always been. Better, I'd argue, because there are no barriers to putting your music out there so we just have exponentially more music than ever before. If you can't find good music NOW? it's a you problem.
@@Just.Kidding sober up , more music is not better music i dont like fasade rappers with auto tune....reply when your sober off the meth ..unless of course your just fake af an into listening to the fasade , if thats the case then to stand to close to the fire place your plastic ass will melt
This 1 minute improvisation of a 17 years old Notorious Big has more talent in it than the whole discography of all new era rappers. That is talent like few. Love it. Edit: Thanks for the likes 👍
@@Xxmeca421xX Its same with most freestyles. I dont remember who but somebody explained it that rappers are constantly thinking of rhymes and playing around with rhyme schemes for different words and topics and write the best ones down. In the heat of the moment your brain starts firing off the different rhymes that fit the situation in a battle, it doesnt take away from the freestyling skill at all. You are just prepared for the battle.
@@Adusti I think it does take away from the skill, freestyle means makin up all of it on the spot completely new, and managing to actually make it work no different than pre-prepared. Think about tupac's hit em up, imagine he randomly bumps into biggie in the street and they start a freestyle battle and he just thinks of hit em up for the first time, and biggie comes up instantly with who shot ya as a comeback. Impossible. Freestyle is nothing but limited/minor modifications to pre-prepared stuff, not completely new and polished masterpieces just flowing in in the moment. That happens extremely rare, with a lot of luck and with only a few words.
Everything from his cadence to his tone of voice is pure gold. Damn, what a huge loss for the entire world. Think of all the great music he would of made if it weren't for his untimely death. I miss the 90s........
A huge loss for the world? Yeah because he was obese. Guy recited words that rhymed over drum loops. 90 IQ type stuff my friends. You all really need to see what it is you are idolizing.
@@diablo2857 There are plenty of rappers who are talented but ended up getting called corny Hopsin, MGK, Joyner Lucas, Logic, Big Sean and many more Btw Big Sean really came with a great album
Cosign. I was just thinking the other day how much I used to love block parties and playing manhunt with my friends on Bedford Ave. Drinking quarters, italian icees, and a cheese slice from the pizza spot. Back then we were outside all day. Now it's rare for me to see kids playing outside.
The best evah. Dude has the sickest flow and its not close, coupled with that deep ass voice and swag. He could literally be reading from a tax form and I'd be like.. word.
@@SandroMagna bro even someone who hates modern rap knows your dumb and closed minded. Rappers like Lil Baby, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler The Creator, are some really good rappers. I don’t believe that their better then this freestyle or old rap though, so apologies for not being clear enough. Modern rap can be good, your just not looking hard enough
@@SandroMagnaok cmon now be more specific, 2001-2015 still counts as modern rap and that was 50,Eminem, Kendrick, Kanye. If you like old hip hop they still retain a lot of what made the genre popular and more importantly GOOD. After 2015 the cesspool of shit was opened on the genre.
The kid has had a easy life his words carry no weight. He lacks his dads presence and deep booming voice. I think he should stick with the acting and do the best he can with it. Whoever pushed him to do rapping should get a slap.
Literally lived 1and a half blocks away. Biggie,to my knowledge at the time, sold weed(before crack). When the Jamaicans sold out damn good weed on Underhill Ave between Lincoln place and St. Johns, my friends and I would cop from him. "No shorts!", Biggie would say( shorts mean have exact cash). The Trey and nickel bags had plenty of seeds,so, if you purchased a Trey or a nickel, chances were you would get 3 or 5 joints. I only knew of him only because of weed. My friends in the neighborhood bought his weed as a last resort because several blocks away on Underhill Ave had the good shit, and when they ran out - no disrespect to Biggie, we had no choice but to cop from him. As of 2020, I listen to "Big Poppa at least 3 days a week. RIP, BIGGIE.
Whatever happened to flow? It complete disappeared after the 90s. Riddle me this Batman. Why is it with more people on the planet, and more cameras everywhere, I would bet a million dollars you won't be able to find a 17 year old rappin this good on the streets of Brooklyn nowadays?
It's unbelievable what Biggie did in the the 6 or 7 Years he had remaining on this earth after this video was filmed! and still to this day, can I get an Amen
@@scania5552 wym f Tupac hes a leader a visionary people learn from him. Tupac Biggie Eazy e Snoop dogg Dr dre Ice cube And more like all of the old school rappers are kings
I'm not into rap anymore like I was when I was in my teens in the 80s or early 90s but when I hear Biggie's voice I'm just mesmerized and my ears force me to listen.
This guy was an absolute genius. I don't think anybody has quite matched him since and certainly not the hip hop we hear these days. I would love to see him alongside Snoop in interviews these days. Can you imagine?! He'd be like the Mike Tyson of rap.
@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse 🙂. True, but he was a genius in his own art, in the same way we might call Van Gogh or Pavarotti artists in theirs. I think he deserves that.
Learn youngsters, this flow, word combinations, straight from the dome, the music being generated today needs this formula. What is being pumped out now? Is just subpar. Learn from the GOAT #Biggie
Как же он охуенно читает Легенда. Эх если бы можно было просто туда как нибудь отправится где он фристайлил или на его концерте так-же и на тупака и остальных легенд того времени и не только в рэпе
B.I.G! Was something else. He is one of the best rappers in history and earned every bit of it. He also loved his mom, and took care of her. God bless and thanks for the epic jams! Much appreciated!
Everytime I watch this I just love the guys in the background with huge grins on their faces, because they know who Biggie is and the mistake whoever dared challenge him just made, and also they are just in pure admiration of how he is like an unstoppable tank when it comes to freestyling. I mean he just.. continues..
