Notorious Mexican Drug Lord "El Mayo" and Son of "El Chapo" Arrested in US | Firstpost America
One of the world's biggest drug lords, Ismael Zambada Garcia, well known as "El Mayo", has been arrested by US federal agents in El Paso, Texas. He is the co-founder and leader of Mexico's powerful and violent Sinaloa cartel. Arrested with Garcia on Thursday was El Chapo’s son, Joaquin Guzman Lopez, said the US justice department. Garcia founded the criminal organisation with Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman in the 1980s. "El Chapo" is currently jailed in the US. In February, Garcia was charged by US prosecutors with a conspiracy to make and distribute fentanyl, a drug that has been blamed for the US opioid crisis.
