First, I believe there are unrealistic expectations tied to historical events that have occurred in previous coaches’ third years. When we constantly compare the current coach to past successes, we lose sight of what’s happening in the present. Second, this ‘Dark Cloud’ lingers because media outlets, like your show, keep rehashing that loss from weeks ago. Why keep looking backward? Notre Dame has won every game since and is on a strong path to a potential playoff berth. Instead of dwelling on the past, how about we stay in the present moment-where the real power is?”

Sneed has terrific physical ability. I'm sure he'll make some big plays for ND. Ausberry seems like a more complete player, though. Ausberry looks to have instincts that I don't think Sneed has. ND needs to get Sneed into specific situations to take advantage of what he has to offer. I think ND can just put Ausberry out there and know that he'll do a good job, regardless of situation.

I’ve had the privilege of watching Notre Dame football for a very long time. I watched them win the championship in 1966 for the first time in my life. The last 30 years or so has been really rough! From what I can see, the only thing, keeping Notre Dame back from being a true contender is the same thing they’ve been suffering through for quite some time. They don’t have a great quarterback. A really good quarterback is all this team needs in my opinion. The team overall is a really good team, but they lack a championship quarterback. I truly believe CJ is going to be a great star. If I had my way, he would already be in there, developing the rest of the year getting ready for the playoffs. Another transfer quarterback, other than to have another back up would be a true travesty. Three transfer portal quarterbacks and three duds as far as I’m concerned. Yet they will keep Riley Leonard in there simply because they paid all that money for him. If Notre Dame makes it to the playoffs at all, once again, they will be shellacked in their first game. To me, it is simple: until you get your quarterback situation straightened out you can forget it

Let's be honest. ND will get embarrassed in playoffs against any SEC or Big 10 teams. They should have started CJ Carr (fan favorite). Yes, there would have be growing pains, but at least he will have 1 season under his belt and be ready for serious playoff runs in 2025 and 2026.
