This was my first ND football game I'd ever been to, and my first visit to the campus. I was absolutely in love with it. Now, nearly three years later, I'll be a freshman at ND in the fall
as a Pitt alumn this game was excruciating, i could see it coming, if pitt had any real compentency at QB they would have won this one.PLUS our kicker Harper who has been more than solid this season missing a very makeable kick in OT?! AAARG!! anyway congrats to ND for their perfect season and good luck in Miami
To make matters worse, on Harper’s missed kick, ND should have been flagged because they had 2 guys that had the same number on the field, which would’ve allowed Pitt to redo it or potentially score a touchdown to win, but the refs missed it, so the game continued on
screw the critics because ND totally freakin belonged in the 2012 natchamp game you earned & deserved it with tuff, gritty wins like this and other big wins over good ranked teams and it diden"t matter how ugly the ND wins were,because the fact is ND won impressive so ND deserved a shot at the title and Kelly will lead you to another one also and this is coming from a somewhat bitter Wvu fan still bitter over the massive beatdown you put on us in the 1988 natchamp game .lol MUCH RESPECT TO ND
People keep saying that ND didn't belong because of this game. But this game separated them from the "good" pack. After Golson's pick with 3:20 left in the 4th, most teams would just give up. Nope, Golson changed his entirely right after that play and won this game. Amazing.
I went to that game. By far the loudest game I’ve been too. I know there were probably other louder games. But goddamn what a comeback! Jumped up out of my seat watch the 2 pt conversion 11 years later 😂
my first game was well! my dad and i will never forget all of the people leaving the game and trying to come back in after ND came back. Awesome memories!
If people think Oregon is better then ND, they're dumb. ND has beat the amazing Oklahoma team along with Stanford and USC and with Michigan who only lost to Ohio State by 5. The only teams that Oregon has beat that is good is USC and Oregon State. Also, Stanford beat Oregon and ND beat Stanford... So beat it ducks, The Irish are better than you. Go Irish and win the BCS!
